😂 Yes Rich, I know what you mean. It can seem so far away to do some of this work but like anything it quickly builds on itself…and before you know it you’re making masterful bookcases…and masterpieces of your own! 😎👍
Yes Scott, it was an inspirational exhibit all around! We are fortunate to have the Kimball Jenkins School of Art open to the community here around Concord NH. Great place to check out or take an art, photography, or pottery course, etc if you are in the area! 👍
What a treat to be able to see these beautiful pieces of furniture and the interviews with their makers. Thank you Tom for treating us to this inspiration.
Thanks Tom and Kris. Seems like artistry and craftsmanship overlap on several pieces. Thanks for the field trip during Epic Weekend. This is the cherry on top of the sunday.
I really enjoyed the work and the maker conversations, I have been at wood shows in my area and admired many pieces of work but the makers are never around. to question. I knlw your setting was different than a 'woodshow' but would love to have had that type of interplay. Your efforts are much appreciated and a great job by Kris getting those money shots.
It was fun creating the experience with the thought in mind that it would enable so many more people to enjoy the exhibit. Thanks for your words Gerald, it was a unique opportunity, worthy of capitalizing on many being in the same spot for an evening. Glad you enjoyed it and that you're so engaged here with us.
Thanks Tom and Kris, after already seeing some of the pieces in person I didn't know how this would be, but it was fantastic. Great job with the interviews and filming. It was really nice to get the incite on the designs and construction from the masters themselves.
Thanks Rich, I had a feeling that those who had seen the exhibit, like you, would get the most out of this video. The chance to hear the Makers in their own voice is special. I love that it worked out to share this exhibit in person with you and the other Epic Weekenders. We plan to do ore On Location interviews, Epic Adventures in the coming year.
So true -- great people, I'm honored to know them and be among them for all these years. I've learned so much and enjoyed lots of hours of inspiration.
Seriously Peter, that's what caught my eye too when I first went by there. It's stunning in person. There wasn't a planer-knife mark visible on any of it! We were able to add a tour of the building to our Epic Weekend event and even invited one of the men who worked on the $2M renovation project, Mark Hopkins, to come and give us some insight into the process. It was great!
What I’d like to learn is how the makers protect the piece during the building process and wow those finishes are beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
As I struggle to get a bookcase together, I am stunned by the work of these artisans. Thank you for taking me along with you.

David Lamb is so modest, that was a real masterpiece.
So true, he is one of a kind! 👍
What an enjoyable episode. Thanks Tom and Kris, well done. The building is as magnificent as the pieces displayed.
Glad you liked it!
Great to see all the pieces from different makers! What a great place to have an exhibit with all the great woodwork in the Gallery! Great show!

Hard to believe I was there and saw 1st hand these most amazing accomplishments and such a magnificent building to display them in.
Couldn't agree more Michael!

thank you . wow on some of those pieces .

Thanks Mark! 👍
Wow, I'm impressed with just the mill work alone inside the Kimball Jenkins estate! The exhibitors were impressive too...

That was very enjoyable, a lot of great thoughts. The sound needed a little work. 😁
Thanks Brett. As to the sound, we did the best with what was already going on in the room. it's a tricky one for sure! Appreciate you watching.
I thought the sound was fantastic considering. I just watched on iPad Pro, not headphones too. I heard every word spoken.
One additional comment. How can 441 people view this video and only 47 hit the like button. Come on my fellow woodworkers hit that button!
Wow(simply stated, because words don't match up to such work...) rr
Amen!
