Hey brother awesome tier list! I got one question, do you upload the same beats that you have on type beat platforms on Spotify or different instrumentals ? :)
3:20 I use references when making my kits. When rendering my loops for purpose of kits I feel my loops lose creativity and art because of the fact users will use it as an easy way to lay down some drums. I use cxsket n sharkboys kit as a primary references since they have a lot of types of files or sounds. In these kits all the loops follow a strict 8 bar pattern, no tempo or key changes, no ear candy effects. On a recent projects I been using pitch automation and EA intros. Also I use effects that change sounds overtime so I would rather use one 8 bar section as a 16 bar section since both 8 bars will sound different. Yet, I highly doubt producers who work for industry artists are uncreative, so maybe they also "dumb down" their loops for lack of better phrasing. Also would you use Cymatics as a reference in making kits? Cymatics are a lil more "expansive" but also I don't know if its smart for one person to compare their work to a team as big as Cymatics,
Depends on your goals tbh. Just because you are smaller doesnt mean to just make super small products but ofc gotta be realistic because you arent a company like them
Thank you cyfal
