This is one monster beastly beautiful looking truck. If I ever need a full size pick up, there’s no hesitation that I’m going with a tundra. This truck is put together perfectly including the mods.
Very good review, Mike! I really like my 2019 double cab Tundra. Drove it to AZ & back to Portland OR a couple weeks ago. Comfortable, safe tough, easy handling. Totally satisfied.

I did calculation, when I bought my 16 Silverado, I paid $2995 for extended warranty. Gets 20-21mpg hwy. I since then traded it in, I am now in a Tundra getting 17-18mpg hwy. But I didn't pay $2995 for an extended warranty, don't need to, engine, transmission is bullet proof, and no bs failures on gimmick add-ons. With the difference in gas consumption I calculated that I can drive till 150k or more before I pay $3000 in gas price. Lol only fools think they are getting a better deal buying a Ford/Chevy cause they can get 20-21 mpg hwy.
So the sales manager made almost a 1 grand commission
I love the Tundra, as reliable and durable as it gets. I just wish Toyota would update some of its styling features and address the poor gas mileage. They just are kind of lazy with addressing some of the concerns from loyal Toyota customers like myself...
You are looking for reliability and durability and also better gas mileage with styling? That translates to more electrical gremblin systems, more computerized components, more complicated engine computers, more expensive to repair and manage. Are you sure you are asking the right request?

I really love Toyota, but Tundra in my opnion have almost no change over the years.
Another problem, it doesn’t have Manual Transmission available and diesel engine like they offer in Brazil.
I wouldn’t buy when Ford and Ram are offering Monster Trucks for Off Road situation.

How is the TSS issue working with the 6” lift? Is there a fix for it when you lift the Tundra? Starting to look at getting one, but have heard a lot of issues with the TSS is you lift and Toyota is advising against it. Let me know please

Toyota Tundra is an excellent truck,there is no need to upgrade it with crap fancy technologies like air suspension in the ram.Nothing like tundra reliable,powerful,comfortable,goodlooking amazing true truck very fun to drive,we had two tundras one was 2007 limited and the other was 2010 we kept the 2010 model for almost 4 and a half years there were no problem no issues with it.ford f-150 is aluminium garbage,the v8 engine sound of the tundra is amazing only GMC Sierra and Dodge Ram 2019 are the best.

You may think this truck is from the Stone Age, but it will still be running way into the space age. I can honestly tell you I’ve been a certified auto technician for the last 28 years. I’ve worked at the same place all 28, and I can honestly tell you I have never seen one come in the shop for any repairs. NOT ONE. But I can guarantee you I’ll have a Chevy or Ford to work on in the morning. I used to be a hard core Chevy and ford fan but when the engine in my 2008 Chevy avalanche had to be totally rebuilt at only 35,000 miles because the lifter locked up and made a flat spot in the camshaft. I was done. You can’t deny the proof that these trucks are reliable. Toyota doesn’t mess with all that technology crap. Will just be outdated in 6 months and break. What’s with the new Chevy tailgate? Is that necessary? Like they dint have enough stuff that breaks? It won’t be long before I’m working on those. Everyone be well and have a great day

Keyless entry and push button start should be standard at that level plus a larger more intuitive display and a update on the interior. Otherwise and still lost reliable truck. Mpg sucks though

@@ed1pk that's how they get you. I'm sure it's close to 70k. I just bought me a 2019 sr5 tundra. I'm here in San antonio, and the dealers had plenty of custom lifted tundras on the showroom floor. Those models were nowhere near the "sticker price". Yeah they were selling 2019 lifted Sr5s for 62k because they were "custom lifted". I can only imagine if they had lifted platinums.

@@brandonhernandez9260 oh yeah that configuration exists. I like it alot. I'm coming from a 2017 f150. Going to the Tundra from the F150 is kind of a step back in time. I've gotten used to the "bare bones" of the sr5 and really enjoy it. Some stuff, I wish it had for the price, but oh well. I also went from a super crew f150 to a double cab. I have no complaints. Plenty of room back there for my 11 year old. The super crew was almost too cavernous for me. Gas mileage, well it's a truck and I dont expect 20mpg.

I’ve had my Tacoma for almost 2 years now and I must say, it’s been very reliable. I hear San Antonio has lots of tundras and Tacomas. I’m sure it is because of that production plant they have there.
