"OJOS NEGROS" by SIMON GARCIA Original Composition for two Double Basses and Flamenco Dancer

"When troubled and confused between your heart and old traditions what will you choose?!?!"
"OJOS NEGROS" ("Black Eyes"), is an original composition by one of the leading Double bass composers of today, SIMON GARCIA.
This work was commissioned and especially written for the Malta International Double Bass days 2020.
It is a piece composed for two double basses and a flamenco dancer, consisting of 10 movements, capturing the essence and many different styles of the Flamenco.
Originally the piece was scheduled to be performed live, however due to the Covid-19 world pandemic we had managed to record the Highlights of the work which is a selection of four different movements - Malagena, Guajira, Saeta and Buleria.
The music was recorded by distance between Spain and Malta ☺️
