I still think the rg35xxh is still a good buy with the rg40xxh out, and if you can get the OG rg35xx for a good price it would still be a good buy, too. I personally like the horizontal form factor better, but I’m still conflicted as to which horizontal one I like better. I love the bigger screen and stacked shoulder buttons on the 40xxh and I like the low profile sticks and slimmer form factor of the 35xxh, for pocketability. I don’t put them in my pockets much, but I know if I’m going to choose one to carry in my pocket it would be the 35xxh. Obviously the 28xx is more pocketable, but the screen is a little too small to really enjoy and I like having access to a thumbstick for certain games.
It's a real shame that the analog sticks have cardinal snapping. This reduces the joy of playing 3D games for me. I hope Anbernic gets this fixed in the future and we get a similar device with DPad on top and a more powerful chip. Thanks for the review 👍
Totally agree. I hope they are able to come up with an update that solves the issue, but if not, at least start putting out better sticks on their newer releases. At the going rate there will probably be another one in a week or two. Thanks for watching the video ✌️
@@LeonPast This is a tendency of the analog stick to favor one of the 8 directions (like a Dpad right, left, up, down, diagonal), and not a full 360° movement. This makes games that require a full range of motion less suitable.
4 years ago i was dreaming of buying the original rgb10 or that was for about 100$ here in australia, and with things like the r36s, the V10 and handhelds like this, its amazing how it evolved over time lol
Hey man, how's it going?? It's been a minute..I like your new background..looks good. I almost got the RG40XX..but I ordered the SP model instead. Waiting for receive it from Amazon. I also got the RG 556, and I love that device, man..I got the translucent blue one, and it rocks. Hope you been doing good Nick. Peace
@ChrisKliewer I'm doing pretty well, thanks. Hope you're good. Right on, man. I haven't had a chance to hold the RG556 yet. It looks so comfortable, and that OLED screen makes me wish I would've chosen it over the RP4P. Enjoy that SP as well!
Keep doing what you're doing. I was here long before you started doing giveaways and I expect to be here regardless if I win anything. Of Anbernic's H700 devices, they saved the best for last. It's not that I don't appreciate the others, I do, I just really value that 4 inch screen. Emulating on phones has kind of spoiled me on smaller displays. 3.5 inches is fine, but, 4 inches is even better. I also think the shape/styling looks more premium than the others. That shouldn't matter, I guess, but it does.
I have them all those consoles except for the rg40xx as i ve said in a previous comment..i am very satisfied with them..i am waiting for the rg40xx' s price to fall..
I’m not the best person to ask about color. Unfortunately, I’m colorblind. That being said, the screen still looks amazing IMO and that extra .5” makes a huge difference. Brightness seems about the same. I vaguely remember hearing something about the pixel density being lower than that of the screen on the 35xxh, maybe just due to the extra .5”. I can’t remember the specifics, but it’s not something I notice. Everything looks super crisp to me.

Thank you so much 👍🎮
@ToRetroConsole anytime! I really appreciate the opportunity. Thank you!
If they did the SP with analogue sticks I'd buy it for sure
I love the sp but other than that I'm not a big anbernic fan. However this in blue will definitely be a future purchase
The TrimUI Smart Pro now plays most PSP games. Just an FYI. Great Review. Surprises are the best.
As someone with small pockets the 28xx is the best. I have really loved mine
Mate put crossmix os on your trimui pro it makes the trimui a much better Handheld.......
Just put this on my to-do-list. Thanks!
Appreciate you Cuz 🙏
I really am looking forward to see a comparison between trim up smart pro and rg40xxh and if rg35 xx is still a good buy when rg40xxh is out

What do you guys mean with cardinal snapping?

@@Tokitoh89 Thanks for the explanation! Is it high on anbernic devices like rg35xx h and rg40xx h? And is it fixable with a custom firmware?
wow you've got em all. I have the SP and the 35XXH
Stacked L R feels more intuitive
I agree ☝️
One day I will buy one too. One day...
Exit game in portmaster is I think is menu + start + select I think. It’s something like that.

You just won a white R36S. Check out my most recent video buddy
@@OGTechNick - Whoo hoo! Thank you. I'm checking out your newest video now.
Would yall turn on all the devices so we can compare screen quality?
I’ll remember to do that on the next one. Appreciate the recommendation.

Do you find the screen better quality than RG35XXH? (colors, saturation, brightness)

@@OGTechNick Yeah bigger screen same resolution giving smaller pixel density is logical but might not be too nad anyway
Trimui Smart pro or rg40xx h?
