I know this happened 2 years ago but I have to tell you I cried my eyes out. You were so awesome and she was adorable. Thank you for being such a wonderful fur-baby mom.
Poor little lambkin. You did all you could. It’s short little life gave you joy, gave all of us joy. It was not wasted. We love you sweet little lambkin.
Sandi, I'm an RN. and I really admire your love & compassion, your fortitude, how you NEVER want to give up!!! thank you’ She was such a sweet thing, but it was wisdom to let her go..
Elizabeth Benavente What kind of life would that be? A sheep is a fight or flight herd animal, NOT a dog. She would react to any perceived threat in total fear and an attempt to escape in panic....missing her front legs. They cannot be housebroken and would have to be diapered or live apart in a barn. Furthermore, they top out at 250 lbs, require shearing and would be wholly unsuitable as a double front amputee! I'm stunned this needs to be explained. Being alive is not always "life". Keeping animals alive for ourselves is cruel and self centered. Her gentle euthanasia was the most decent thing to be done.
This is why I always question rescues. While they may have the animals best interest in heart, keeping them alive is sometimes more cruel then letting them go. I respect your choice and think it was for the best
@@HobbyFarm50 I'm thinking of goats of anarchy. The women who runs it can be a bit much at times and some of those animals have bone deformities that will affect them as they get older , yet she claims she is doing gods work by keeping these goats alive.
Brianna Brookshaw I don’t think that was the rescue with that goat. But I do think she does some good work with some of the goats. But there are some that should just be let go.

I am so very sorry. Your little lamb isn’t going to have to deal with the pain that would be her future. You are a heroine for letting her go. Heaven’s blessings be with you.
@@EVALLOYD a very painful one. She never would have had use of those legs and as she grew and put more weight on them, the more painful it would be. Living with the herd would never have been an option because she would be lame and likely attacked by the others. Breeding wouldn't be an option either. So sadly to save her a life of extreme pain and hardship, she needed to be let go.
Sandy, I’ve watched you love and work so hard with this little lamb. You have done more than most people would do, trying to fix its little deformed legs. My heart is broken for the loss of this little lamb. You did the humane thing in putting it down. God bless you and thank you for your love of these sheep and their babies.

OMG. I bawled so hard. Still am. I just found your channel a couple of days ago & I've watched a ton of your videos already. I grew up an Iowa farm girl and a lot like you when it comes to the animals, especially the babies. As hard as you try to take the best care of your animals and not get "too attached" (whatever that means) there are just some that somehow weasel their way around any defenses and deep into your heart and there's nothing you can do to stop them. They've got you hook, line and sinker. Sometimes there's something that sticks out in their personality or they seek my attention, but the worst heart offenders are the ones that require extra attention for medical reasons. It's impossible to spend that much time and attention on a single baby and not fall in love with them especially when they bond to you (and the added cuteness factor doesn't hurt either). I don't have any livestock now, but I do wildlife rescue and rehab and it's the same heart struggles with them. I did everything you did for this little lamb for an orphaned baby raccoon and ended up in the exact same situation in the end. He tried so hard to walk, but it just wasn't ever going to be a possibility. Fortunately, we can't stay in bed crying because there's always more coming that need us so we keep moving forward, but those special ones leave an impression on our hearts forever.
this video makes me want to begin a rescue for disabled animals. I know this is an old upload, but Id hate to have your job somedays. Thank you for me an amazing human
She was so cute and I’ve never seen such a sweet lamb. Don’t feel bad for bonding, anyone would of done in that situation. At least she’s not suffering anymore and you tried your absolute hardest with her. 🧡
Sandi Brock I bet her little soul will return to you in a healthier little body, Sandi. She loves you! And you clearly love her too. She might even be one of Goat’s new lambs today! 💝🐑 You’ll know when you see her again, Sweetie
Watching this again on July 19th 2021 and it still makes me cry. I don't know a whole lot of farmers who would have spent the time trying to save her but you truly do care about your sheep
I just found this channel a few days ago and instantly fell in love with how much you really care about these animals. You’ve got a smile on your face the whole time you are working. This episode PROVES that they aren’t just a job to you. I love how sincere you are!
That is soooo tuff. She was to cute. It is nice to see that farmers like you exist. Your passion is showing and that is a good thing. Never apologize for sharing your emotions. Women are emotional and I thank God for that. Imagine this world without them. We would be in a bigger mess than where we are now.
I’m really sorry to hear about the little lamb. It’s tough. I was very happy to see that you did invest in trying to fix the lamb and give it a chance instead of immediately deciding it wasn’t worth the risk, financially and emotionally. Even though it didn’t end the way all of us wanted it to, it showed how invested you are in the health and comfort of your animals and giving them a fighting chance to survive and pull through. I stumbled upon your channel and have been binge watching for a week now. Watching and listening as I do my daily chores learning about your farm and you as a farmer. I trust in your judgement when balancing financial burden versus upkeep and upgrade. I hope you continue to be rewarded and recognized for your efforts and keep making videos :)
You did your absolute best! You even went above and beyond. So take solace, this little lamb could not of been more loved or cared for. I wish all breeders and livestock owners could be just like you!
I am very sorry for your loss. It is always part of the fsmily and you do everything you can. I know thousands have been spent on Vets. Sorry for your loss
I am so very sorry...I admire all that you tried to help the little lamb, it speaks volumes about the type of person you are and just how big your heart is! Take care...
Oh, that was heartbreaking. I’m so sorry Sandi. I know this was a long time ago, but you show such great emotion and passion for your animals that even though I am not a farmer by any means, I am enthralled and have been watching dozens of your videos in the past two weeks since I discovered your vlog.
Oh sweetheart. You did everything you could. I love you for the fact that you even ordered an tried a walker, and put so much time and effort, even you're so busy with the rest. I'm sorry you had to lose her.
Thank you for trying so hard. Though so brief, you gave her the very best life she could have had and that's everything. Releasing her from a body that couldn't ever work for her like she needed it to, was a final act of love. I watched her looking up at you as you tried to help her by splinting her legs. She understood. Now her little soul watches over you from The Rainbow Bridge.
You did so much more for her than most people would have done. She felt your caring and your kindness. I'm so sorry there wasn't anything more that could have been done, but, clearly, there wasn't. I just so much appreciate your heart for these lambs. She knew you were trying to help her. Hugs and prayers.
I know this comment is so far away from when you posted the video, but oh! that just breaks my heart but you went so far and beyond trying to save this little lamb. I am in awe of your tenacity and pure love for this little lamb. If people would treat each other with a fraction of how you are with your wooly babies, this world would be such a better place. So much love for you!!!
Sandy, It's great that you do all you can to try to resolve issues with your little lambs. This little black and white lamb was so cute, which adds to the pain of the loss and losing the opportunity to watch her grow in to a beautiful adult animal. She knew you were trying to help her.
Bless your heart, you are one of the very very rare sheep farmers I know that would have even tried to have helped her. You are an amazing farmer with heart & soul, I wish there were more like you. No animal deserves to live in pain, not if its long term, or on short term at the end of their days. Big hugs to you ,you gave her love and the best you could have done for her you did , these decisions are never easy but it was the right thing . ✉️❤️
I’m so sorry Sandi ❤ The care and love you have for your lambs and sheep is so beautiful. You always go above and beyond where most people would write her off at birth and that’s what makes you and your channel so special and why we keep coming back xxx
You are one amazing person and the little one knew it. It had the best mom with you that tried everything and ultimately made the hardest but right decision to let it move on to be pain free.
I agree with all of them that said you have given the little lamb everything you could think of. I also had tears , when I understood she was going to be put away. I soo much hope you find a similar darn cute lamb to show us and so you would forget what you had to do. You are doing such a good job with your part of the farm so I think you will find more joy soon. Lots of hugs from Sweden.🐑🙂
I just wanted you to know I’ve been enjoying your videos. And this one really touched me. A lot of people think because we raise animals for meat production that we don’t care or that it doesn’t hurt our hearts when we have an animal who is suffering. I love how you candidly showed the lengths we go through to help and love our animals. I cried with you because I know just how disheartening and sad it is. Thank you very much also for your videos on labor assistance as it helps all of us feel a bit more confident when we come across issues ourselves. I heard you say in a recent video that “UA-cam” doesn’t like you to show pulling and assisting-I strongly disagree and encourage you to continue showing the reality to help educate the rest of us. Keep up the good work!
What matters is that you tried and in the end did the right thing. Your dedication was amazing and I'm sure that little lamb was thankful. You have a good heart.
I want a “love” button. Your compassion and care are above and beyond. I think you’re probably one of the only sheep farmers that would have gone as far as you did. You did the absolute best you could. *hugs* and kudos to you !

The wheelchair was inspirational... just because it didnt work for Hope... it might for the next lil lamb... hang in there, always try... U are awesome
I don't know anything about animals, but I love them...I was wondering, you know how sometimes they put a horse in a swing type thing to keep them up to strengthen a leg or an injured leg...I wandered if that would have helped...I know for people who have injuries or some health disability keeping them from using their legs or to build strength they often put them in a stand for a length of time to build up muscle and strength...just a thought, wondering if it may have helped.
@@clcowar09 I think you missed the part at the end where the Vet and Sandi were talking about the bone itself being bent, and as the lamb grew and put on more weight that was just going to put more wear on the joints trying to compensate for the bone not being straight.

Your total devotion to your herd and EVERY member in it is humbling and heartwarming. You are such an inspiration !!
Thank you for being strong enough to not let the lamb suffer. My hat is off to you.
this video makes me want to begin a rescue for disabled animals.
🧡
Thank you!💕
Sandi Brock 🧡
Sandi Brock I bet her little soul will return to you in a healthier little body, Sandi. She loves you! And you clearly love her too. She might even be one of Goat’s new lambs today! 💝🐑 You’ll know when you see her again, Sweetie
What a valiant effort Sandi. She is luck you were there for her so there was no suffering. Blessings 🙏💜🐑
This shows how much farmers love and care for their animals ❤️
Oh, Sandi. What a sweet and loving heart you have. No one could have tried any harder. You did the right thing for her.
I'm so sorry. She was such a beautiful lamb.
Sorry for your loss
thanks Donald!
You've been the best owner any animal could ask for. Keep your chin up.
This is really sad she really cares about her sheep 😢
Thanks
Sandi don’t ever be ashamed to cry!! I love your passion, God bless you
I cried as I too felt the love & attachment you had for that precious baby...
GBY for the compassion you have for your stock...🙏❤💙💖🤗✝️
I am so very sorry...I admire all that you tried to help the little lamb, it speaks volumes about the type of person you are and just how big your heart is! Take care...
thanks Gini
Omg I can’t stop crying when she went back home to clean up the mess 💔💔💔💔
So sorry for your loss. She is a precious angel now in heaven 💗
Me too! So sad. She was such a beauty. Bless her. Big hugs Sandi..xxx
An responsible owner always take the hardest decisions , will it have a good life ,!!!! No
Oh, that was heartbreaking.
So dang cute. I don’t blame you for trying. I’m crying with you too. This was a rough one
this is the kindest and heartfelt video of the year ! Sandi Brock you are a gift to UA-cam
Thank you so much Dennis!
@@SandiBrock keep sending your videos the world will be waiting thank you much!
You did so much more for her than most people would have done. She felt your caring and your kindness. I'm so sorry there wasn't anything more that could have been done, but, clearly, there wasn't. I just so much appreciate your heart for these lambs. She knew you were trying to help her. Hugs and prayers.
She is so adorable. This is just one of the hardest things when loving your animals. Chin up! You did everything you could. Love & hugs
Your love for your animals, big and small, is amazing. My the precious little baby rest in lammie heaven.
You did all you could and tried so hard to help that sweet little girl ❤️ hugs to you for your caring heart
She was so adorable it makes me cry. You are stronger than I am.
I am so sorry!!
You are so good to them!!
Thank you for caring enough to end her pain and suffering!!
Sending love & hugs!!
You did all that could be done for her.You went the extra mile.Thats way more than most would have done.
I admire your compassion and love you had for the little lamb God bless your heart. Your job is very difficult and I admire your drive.
H S ....lots and lots of hugs for being who you are...A compassionate human being
😞🥺💔 my heart hurts, the ending scene of her putting away the wheelchair had me hysterically crying 🥺🥺🥺
I’m so sorry for your loss! You are so precious! You did everything you could! She’ll always hold a special place in your heart!
Heart breaking indeed ! It’s so easy to be attached to animals . Much love and respect for the job you do as it’s never easy ❤️
That’s so cute, I love these little baby lambs! So so precious!
I’m so sorry! You love your animals enough to let them go.it’s ok to be sad, that just means you experienced love.💗
That’s the cutest lamb ever, poor little thing, sorry for the loss of your friend!
I want a “love” button. Your compassion and care are above and beyond. I think you’re probably one of the only sheep farmers that would have gone as far as you did. You did the absolute best you could. *hugs* and kudos to you !
“Not all stories end as lovely as they should.” Wow. This was sad.😔
I’m so sorry. I just saw this video. It's April 1, 2021. I’m late but I cried with you anyway. She was a beautiful lamb. 😢❤️🙏🏻
Its April 8th 2021 1st time I am watching this and bawling like a baby. I love seeing Sandi trying so hard to save them all no matter how desperate their cause
The wheelchair was inspirational... just because it didnt work for Hope... it might for the next lil lamb... hang in there, always try...
U are awesome
April 9, 2021. I watch Sandi with her sheep everyday on my lunch break. How I missed this I do not know. Sweet little lamb.
I love how passionate and caring you are.
You are such a loving and caring person. You did your best and getting emotionally attached is okay. It just means you love what you do.
This is like the 3rd or 4th video you have made me cry in. It sucks that this is part of your job. I am glad to see you did everything you could
I’m so freaking sorry. 😢 thanks for sharing. RIP little lamb and prayers for peace & comfort to your kind heart. ❤️
So sorry, you went above and beyond for that adorable lamb.
I started crying i am so sorry.I loved that lamb. You have such a good heart. You gave that little girl the best thing ever.I want you to no you tried your best.she had the best life ever.
Having these feelings for your animals is what makes you a wonderful farmer. You care about them as living, breathing little beings. Never lose that. Now I need to go wipe away my tears.
I'm watching this a little over three months after you posted this. I feel for you having to make the decision to have to put her down after all you tried with her. I'm crying after only knowing this lamb for 15 minutes. Stay just as you are. The best farmers are the only that have hearts just like you do.
