SORRY GAMESPOT! Didn't mean to single you out. I just needed a video of someone pronouncing SNES *that* way. Thanks for watching, everyone! Next on the agenda will be the PS2! FINALLY.
They had it coming 🤙
PS2! Don't forget the fun Easter egg in the credits of Summoner. It's hilarious!
I remember Joe Hendry used to say it that way all the time. But to be fair, Gamespot can't suplex you so...fair decision.
The Bouncer was a launch title right?
It was very common for UK people in general.
"Say the line, TripleJump!"
"Oh yeah, here we go, Sports Time!"
"Yaaaaaaay!"
I said that out loud when I clicked on the video lol
You can hear that sports time line at 6:39 its so hilarious XD
Never has a console been more super.
You forgot to capitalize that S ;)
It is infact a very super version of the Nintendo entertainment system
Franky: SUUUUUU-PUR!
Genesis fanboys: NO SNES SLO SND DUM ANG GET BAD PORT!!! ! ! GENESI ARCADE AND NINTEDRONE DUMBBBBB GRR
There where and are several
Oh yeah! Here we go! Sports time! We need that on a t-shirt!
YES! And I WILL BUY IT lol
OMG YES!
You know, a good follow up to this series (once you’ve run out of consoles to play the launch games off) would be playing the last 10 games officially released on each console.
Sport games 😂
Yesssss
lol the last 10 PS2 games would just be FIFA and Pro Evo games from 2008-2014
@@BrokenBeats94 that’s a lot of “Sports Time!” From Ben.
Hmm 🤔 maybe the list could be “last 10 games from [insert console here] that weren’t sports titles” 😄
@@CulturePhilter haha 100% it’s a great idea as consoles have some great swab songs! Couple that come to mind are God of War 2 and Rogue Galaxy (outside of Japan) on the PS2
OH YEAH, HERE WE GO, SPORTS TIME!!!!!
I've watched tennis before.
Love the sneaky "sports time" inclusion in the Sim City review.
Anything "being done at night" to "avoid organized crime" doesn't quite pass the smell test.
Yeah that didn't make sense to me to either lol Maybe so it was in secret and unexpected? Or maybe it isn't true at all..
7:31 anyone else get mild anxiety when he just slowly walked and jumped to collect the coins?
lol I was so distracted by it that I didn't even hear what he was talking about at the time
Never has the Y button been more disrespected.
judging by the fact i never saw mario going that fast i don't think they even knew how to sprint in the first place
this guy plays mario like he's never played a mario game before
Oh boy SPORTS TIME
Did you hear it In the sim city 69ers stadium.
I love that Ben just waited for that joke. He's just the best.
Super R-type, F-zero, Pilot Wings, Super Mario world. What a launch Super Nintendo had, I remember it like yesterday.
The own goal sound of "oh no" in Super Soccer was and still is constantly used with my friends and I whenever anyone makes the tiniest of mistakes.
I loved this list. I grew up with the SNES and this was one hell of a nostalgia trip.
Still the greatest console of all time. Most games aged perfectly, and still look damn good. Link to the past, Super Mario World/Kart, Super Metroid, Ken Griffey presents major league baseball, Chrono Trigger, DK Country 1-3, Secret of Mana, Mega Man X, FF3, Mario RPG, Rock n Roll Racing, Contra 3, NBA Jam, TMNT Turtles in time, MK 3, Street Fighter 2, Killer Instinct, Earthbound, Madden series, Pilotwings, F-Zero, Zombies ate my neighbors, etc... I can keep going but you get my point. GOAT console with GOAT games!!
Always makes me chuckle to hear people of a certain age talk about the NES and SNES. I don’t think Ben was even alive when the SNES came out. But I was, and was 12 when it did. It’s hard to explain just how crazily epic this system was when appeared. I can remember back in the pre-internet days of 1991 when you just had 3-4 gaming magazines for info, or word of mouth, even as someone like me who was HUGE into gaming, I never even heard about the SNES until it was already out. I showed up that year at my parents’ friend’s summer cottage (who had more money than we did) and their two sons had brought the new SNES there and were playing Super Mario World. Blew…my…mind! Having growing up with an Atari 2600 and (very late in the game) a NES, it looked like they had control of a cartoon. Right then and there I became absolutely determined to get a SNES as soon as I possibly could. Just being a kid, I had no job, but I collected pop cans around my small town for their 10¢ deposits in Michigan, saved every small bit of my allowances, sold some of my toys at garage sales, and just asked for money from my relatives when my birthday or Christmas rolled around. I got my SNES fairly early in its run that year it came out, and it became the greatest era of video games I ever was a part of. I can remember spending Friday or Saturday nights at my friend Ian’s house, or vice-a-versa at my place, and the two of us would bring our games to the other’s house, rent a few more games, and we’d play games into the night until after midnight. As some new systems came out, I sold some of my others consoles, but I still have that original SNES to this day, in its original box with paperwork and plastic bags, and 5 of my original games, also still with their boxes, papers, and plastic bags, all in perfect condition. I loved that system THAT much, and still do. It’s funny to me how older consoles and games are worth so much money now, but I’d never sell mine. In fact, once or twice a year I still pull it out, hook it up, and play those games. I only wish I had some of the other games I used to have for it back, along with some of the extras like Mario Paint mouse and mousepad, and the Super Scope 6.
“I am spending any time on it” I had no idea that is what that was from and I say it all the time thanks to Ben and TP
Super Mario World was appearently rushed. Can you imagine if they hadn't. Maybe it would've been even better. Or awful
@@Gatorade69 It's not that weird, there are plenty of people out there that feel the same way. A good case can be made for both games.
Also, it's funny to think about how this game was rushed, compared to modern games that are rushed. These days, after a game has gone through multiple patches, it's sometimes practically a different game than the (often broken) one that was originally released.
Then they did great for a rushed game.
@@Gatorade69 For me, it's a tossup between 3 and World. It's like trying to pick between your children.
@@Gatorade69 smb3 was a masterpiece but I found it had zero replay value, for me smw is still the most fun iv had from a Mario game followed by sm64
The Bob Kattar clip was surprising and appreciated
I thought I had hit next video by mistake lol
These are just getting better and better, and more and more hilarious. Favourite series on yt!
I felt my endorphin levels go up with that F Zero music.
this was great- thanks Triple Jump, extra points for the Bob Katter clip, he's a fun character.
Super Tennis is good when you get the hang of it, for the best tennis game look for Virtua Tennis on Dreamcast!
HAHAHAHAH THE BOB KATTER REFERENCE IS A++++ omfg I love you TripleJump
1:33 oh hell yeah that soundtrack
Could barely believe my eyes when Bob Katter appeared in a triple jump video. But pleased. Very pleased.
As a 32 year old avid retro gamer I've always known of Pilot Wings but never played it. Or so I thought. Seeing this footage unlocked deep memories of playing that game a ton with my friends when i must have been 3-5 years old.
That wide screen mod looks dope as hell!!!!
The first console I ever owned! Still go back and play some SNES from time to time. Thanks for doing this video!
6:39 you are a comedy genius! Hat's off to you sir.
Would be great to see at the end of each of these videos where the average score for the launch games ranks against the other consoles you've done so far.
Anyway, love this series!
I had (and _still_ have since I never got rid of any of my childhood gaming stuffs) Super Tennis and even at 10 years old I never had a problem of knowing when to swing my racket; it was just something you learned the feel for. 🤷♀️ I have a lot of fond memories of playing this one with my mom.😊
Wish we could get some sort of table or something, I'd like to see how the average scores compare across consoles.
5:31 You should see Shirley's face when you get a perfect 100 point score. Sure it was supposed to be funny but it terrified the hell out of me.
"OH David what did they do to your beautiful face?"
I had to pause the fricking video to wipe my tears! HAHAHAHA!
That pilotwings review was hilarious! 🤣
I love the plugs for Simon Miller lol
I'm genuinely surprised by how well the graphics of PilotWings holds up. It's a shame there were so few SNES games that took advantage of the mode7 "3D" capabilities. I think that style could still have a place in gaming today, but you know with improved framerate and resolution. Would love to see something new in that style appear again.
Got way too high and binged your entire series. Much appreciated.
That nostalgia hit when the super mario world music was played though 😍
I was going to say that I doubt Ben is *actually* playing these games, but then he named his Sim City "Triple69" and I knew right then and there that this was our boy.
Love this series, do you have the compiled list??? Watch this before going to bed.
The top two photo's at 12:18 show Duke Nukem to be a member of the audience... groovy!
9:04 idk ive kinda been loving super Rtype personally. Its kind of by the books and simple but thats just what makes it appealing to me.
Oh yeah here we go sports time 6:39
I was not expecting the Bob Katter cameo in the middle of the video hahahahaha
Awesome! Friday night is alright!
This video inspired me to do a "no run" run in super Mario land
Everyone knows that when it comes to 2D Mario, the thumb is locked on to the Y button AT ALL TIMES.
@@iceman00behave 7 out of the 11 official 2D Mario games didn’t use a ‘Y’ button.
(To be clear, I know what you meant, just some fun trivia.)
The SNES version of Sim City was the only one I technically ever 'finished'. 10 year old me was chuffed to bits. I knew there and then it was a feat I'd never be arsed to do again, and 26 years later, I still believe that. The urge to destroy takes over too quickly.
These vids are probably my favorite series of yours lately. Gonna be sad when you run out of consoles.
Maybe next you do can the games that came out the year a console was discontinued. You know, milk it dry.
I've always said S-NES /AS ANYAS/, but everyone can say It as they see fit hahaha. Nice vid!
You were so proud of that "bless you" hahahah
Now I’ve never watched a Triple Jump video before but i’m going to give this everything I’ve got.
Most consoles might have 1 or 2 hits at first, but for the SNES, almost every launch game is a highly regarded classic.
Super r type damn so much nostalgia in one video love it.
0:37 0:38 was a great impression by the way.
Oh yeah, here we go, sports time!
Easily one of my favorite systems. So many memories.
I lol'd at all the SNES wording.
Do you know what would be good at the end of these? Just a ranking of all the consoles by their percentage. But as always great work by all.
I had SMW, Pilotwings and Super Tennis and they were all fantastic. Still are, in my opinion.
You guys should do a comparison of all the consoles average percentage rating at the end of these videos LOL
Love the SNES, first console I had, some of my favorite games to this day were on it.
I forgot how bangin' the Super Nintendo launch line-up was.
Gotta love all the Soimon Milla references
Oh yeah. Here we go. Sports time.
My favorite console! Thank you!
I’m easily pleased, say the line Ben, The Simon Miller appearance, job done. But that discredits the rest of Bens brilliance. Well done good sir.
Gradius 3 was actually one of the games I had on my SNES, and I quite liked it. I recommend the Konami code though if you want to have a good time.
Loved my Super Famicom import. RGB scart wired, ready to go. Then when i plugged it in my tv although RGB scart enabled was just old enough to only display it in black and white as it is an NTSC RGB signal 🤦 so i had to go out and buy a new 21" tv to play. Final fight was the game i had with it initially.
12:17 Duke Nukem loves his tennis!
The Simon miller impression gets me every day time 🤣
It's amazing that you got Danny devito in this episode.
Did not expect to see Bob Katter in one of these reviews. 🤣
I played the hell out F-Zero and Sim City on the SNES. still one of my favourite console's
One of the best channels that we are blessed to have
Or the G.O.A.T if you want to get Japenese about this.
Here we go!
I was a Sega kid because my pops liked Sega for the sports titles but all my friends had a SNES. I'd want to go play theirs and they'd want to come play my Sega. In the end it worked out for all of us, lol.
Fun story: when my neighborhood friend got Sim City for his SNES, none of us understood that the point of the game was to build the city. We thought the point of the game was to destroy the city. We would unleash every possible natural disaster upon every city, and what the natural disasters did not claim, we simply bulldozed down. Those poor Sims.
I flipped christams morning 92' i was flipping and doing back flips when i got a super Nintendo. Man my step dad was a gold man, only 2 years with him then. Good man
Cant believe its 30 years since the Snes came out. I still own my SNES i bought in 1991 with all launch titles which i still play today .gaming since 1983 i have to say the SNES is the greatest console ever made
Delightful, as usual :)
What is the song that was playing at the start of F-Zero
I see McDonaldland sneaking in the background. What a truly epic and bizarre game that was
this is the funniest video game channel on this whole website
If I've learned one thing from the 7 Yakuza titles I've played, it's that they all follow the code of a strict 10pm bed time.
I love the stend entertem
Please make another video series about playing the last few games of the consoles before they were discontinued. There would be lots of sports time and even some radical cool bird man for the Nintendo 64.
It took me a long time, but I beat Gradius 3 when I was a kid, then I never played another side scrolling shooter again 😳
England vs Italy tomorrow. Before I sit down to watch it I shall be shouting: ''Oh Yeah, Here We Go, Sports Time!''
Oh yeah, here we go, launch title time! Now I've played a launch title before.
😂😂😂
Possibly the best launch line-up ever. All killer, no filler here.
Does anyone know where they got that hilarious "Oh Lord!" soundbite from at 2:29?
Lol I really hope this is some people's first TJ video!
Lol the soccer is funny. The ball isnt even in the goal and its being called 🤣🤦🏾♂️
Oh yeah here we go
Oh yeah, here we go, lunchtime! I've eaten lunch before...
Wait
Unexpected Bob Katter cameo.
I won’t lie that pilot game does look pretty good
Still love playing my SNES
Super Mario World was a game changer literally
