Assault. He hadn’t attacked her before she sprayed him so she cant have been defending herself and how was she to know he was following her and not just going in the same direction. I follow women sometimes like when i was at college cos guess what we were going to the same place or from the bus stop down the road to the supermarket etc. unless she known he was a threat ie actively attacking her she can say she was defending herself walking behind someone isn’t attacking them
It depends on what she believed was going to happen even if the reality is different. Self defence is not ruled out because you strike the 1st blow if you are genuinely fearful. You are not obliged to wait until your jaw is broken. Each case is dependent on it's own facts and whether the use of the oven cleaner was reasonable in the circumstances, which is matter for a court. She shouldn't in law be carrying oven cleaner in case she is attacked, but there is always a discretion not to prosecute even if an offence has been committed.
If he is so dumb that he is following a woman at midnight, so closely that she can hear his breath, then he should not be surprised that she struck him out of fear. He should just feel lucky she didn't carry a more serious weapon. How should she know he is not a r#pist or worse, when 1 in 3 women have been r#ped in their lifetime. Have some respect and cross the road, instead of scaring women "cos you are going in the same direction". Learn some empathy. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
So, she could have taken out a small samurai sword, cut his head off and she would have been let off because she thought it was her husband? Whatever happened to equality and justice?
Yes, this is a distressing installment - a completely innocent man is assaulted and badly hurt, but all the concern is for the perpetrator... Had this been an emotionally unstable man who'd sprayed the other, it wouldn't even be a question.
I can't help but feel it's deeply patronising to regard an individual as incapable of dealing with their own emotions and incapable of preventing themselves from assaulting others... To say nothing of being disgraceful to deny their victims justice.
Appealing comments both of you. You want equality, then you go talk to those men who don't think twice about abusing women, following women stalking women, beating women, killing women etc. Have you ever read about what Domestic violence is? How many women get murdered by their other half in DV situations every single day? Just how much insane fear these victims live with? Never heard? And to top it all, men like these two think it's funny to follow women so closely? Where is your empathy, thoughtfulness, care? Would you find it amusing if this was your wife, sister, mother? It is appealing that you are only thinking about how does that guy feel but you can't empathise with a woman. You want equality, you answer that question. By the way 1 in 3 women have been r#ped in their life. Did you know that? No? So you think about why every women lived in fear DAILY for her safety. Luckily not all men are like that. But sadly too many men still are. So if you want equality, you go talk to those men and teach them how to respect a female. And also on scale of the issues here, she lives in danger of her and her child's life, the "innocent victim" got minor injuries and was hardly innocent following a female so closely she could hear his breath! He's lucky she didn't carry a more serious weapon. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
@@EnglishTMTB He wasnt innocent, he followed her down a dark alley trying to scare her, he did to a woman cos they are less likely to fight back. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes LOL

I agree Ben, this episode annoyed me
Wasn't it around midnight?
Have you, or do you, follow lone women at that hour often?
You would scare the pants off them.
How is she supposed to feel?

Justice is dead. Killed by the left.
