Tutorial - GT5 Like the Wind, Easy Win, Corvette ZR1, Indy Speedway

- Get a corvette ZR1 09, race modify it, Fully tune and make sure you are using Racing Softs.
Assists off
Tune settings:
Aero Front 35
Aero Rear 35
Transmission: Top Speed 249mph
Leave all the suspension settings on default. (already lowered to the max)
Just to be clearer, you need to do the race modification for this car (its in the maintenance menu (where you change the oil/wash the car etc) The race mod option is the furthest one on the right.
Then you will need to add any additional Tuning items so it has everything. Make sure to buy the Racing Soft tyres and install them.
Then change the settings to the ones mentioned above in the tuning menu before you start the race. You can change the aerodynamic settings in the body/chasis section.
Note this is also a good set up for doing the American championship race on the same track for 98,000 credits for 4 mins racing.
I just tried this. Wow... A GT5 tutorial that actually works for me. You can't go wrong with this video.
The Pagani Zonda works perfectly here. (for those who don't know, you get the pagani in the gt championship under professional tier, on spec-b; win that with the bugatti you get on the same race but spec-a)

Hey man, thanks a heap for that tuning info. I've had the ZR1 for a while, used it for the muscle car series. After a quick oil change i was up to 905hp cause i had broken in the engine a bit! This race ended up pie cake! I was first after turn 2 and walked away the whole race without even drafting, what a joke! Total time was 3:43.33 and my best lap was 43.044!!!! I ended up 2.7s ahead of the next guy.

THIS VIDEO IS THE BEST TUTORIAL FOR THIS RACE ON THE INTERNET. If you follow his instructions 100% you will easily win this race. MAKE SURE traction control etc are ALL OFF. You will be surprised how much of a difference it makes!! Good luck!!

Can be done with the Zonda R prize car, but you'll need a good tune, and you'll need to use R2 to accelerate if you're not using pedals, so that you can modulate throttle in the corners without braking.

this is a great tutorial. it completely worked for me. i think it ended up being like $700,000 but it was worth it because i get a race car and a lot more money thanks to the american championships noted in the description.
i tried using the bugatti veryon, but its only good for straights and not high speed corners.

This tuning setup works for me too. One thing I will say is the brakes are a lil' twitchy, so don't hold the brakes for too long for some of the tighter bends. Have lost a few lead rounds because of the spin.

gt5pp question, can we still win the races of like the wind and american championship races but without the racing modifications? Is it required for more power?
i tried this with the bugatti and viper acr. they are both alot faster but the turning was off. thanks so much for the help.
Cool, now I pulled some gap away, thanks. I also tried it in the Daytona race, it was really hard at the corners, guess it is usefull for tight corners. By the way do you know races that gives good exp in a short time like indy or others?

@Grog85 Try Buying Fully-customisable transmission in the tuning shop and set your top speed to 230ish
(Although it says 230mph your top speed actually ends up about 7mph less!)

@dextor314 If you change the oil you should get an extra 20+ BHP not sure about the rest though.
help My corvette can't upgrade it's engines any further it says it has the 1st stage when I go to
get the 2nd stage it says I need to upgrade in order and I buy a stage 1 when I go to upgrade it says it already has it installed.

Strange as I followed everything step by step which improved my race but I still finish about 7th. My top speed lets me down. It gets so high and then drops sharply?

What are the suspension defaults? Also why can't I put my top speed at 249 exactly? I can only get them by tens. How do I change the LCD back to normal. I've messed with my car too much to follow these directions precisely.

I just did all the modifications exactly except I bought the tuning stuff first the the race modifications and I only have 824 hp, How do you have 877 hp? I need the extra 53 hp to win, did I mess it up by buying the tuning upgrades first?
@08Superman25 Ahh, I should have updated this when I figured it out: just rebuild your engine and you can choose the stage 3 upgrade from your Tuning list for free. So no problem at all, just the cost of rebuilding the engine, but you get everything back.
Will it still work without the racing modifications?

You need to "drive in" the engine and the pistons to get more effect
can you do it with the corvette z06 rm because i have one of those and i am saving for ferarri f10

you can also use a nissan gt-r and fully tune it and make sure your trans. is fully custom

@gt5pp dunnow, man ! I`ve tried with them all off, and then even one by one... they`re still kicking me in the balls ! I`ve tried with the Team Oreca Viper, with the Veyron, with the SuperVeloce (Lamborgini) ... you name it... I`m just stuck .....
After trying many cars and setups I went to the Internet and found the race mod Bette solution. I did it right away and begun the race.. Because of my excitement I completely forgot to change the transition settings which meant I kept hitting the rev limiter. First time round I lost by 0.028 seconds. Next time round I won by 0.004 seconds. After that I realized I looked at the set because I was angry at the short gear rations and realized I could have just changed it.
I simply just used a fully tuned nascar and dominated this race with ease.[Despite how old this video is]
i own an mclaren f1 i go 350km on straight and 270km on turns ..... well i guess that's magic!!😃
