the LYXBAG would be super cute during the fall with a nude or tan or even tonal outfit! i’m thinking a tan wool coat with that bag!!
Its a shiny smooth calfskin leather, it normal for it to get scratched. You’ll have a similar experience with Dior Bobby as well. I wouldn’t recommend this bag if you have issues with scratches. However I do believe it’s part of the story and aging process for the bag, it gives it character. Periodically send the bag to the bag spa.
Excellent review, thank you! I haven’t experienced issues with perfumes on any of my bags so this is good to know for awareness. It is widely known that heritage leathers particularly the shiny box calf are prone to scratching easily but these blend in as the leather patinas over time. I have owned 2 classic bags from Celine (the Triomphe predecessor) and I am yet to be disappointed. I’m now thinking of adding this exact Triomphe too. I hope you enjoy your stunning bag x

I’m second guessing this bag now. Great review. I wanted to buy it but learning how delicate this bag is, makes me wonder if it’s worth the price.

Hmm to be fair..I’ve had this bag for two years now and it still looks brand new!! And I wear it daily. It all depends on how someone handles their bag.I’ve personally began to prefer this bag over my classic flap.

@@SomethingLatte I have both and they were both my dream bags! The only ones I feel like I’ll ever need lol. I literally don’t desire any other bags anymore. Though I would take a mini Hermes constance. I also think the teen size is the best size as far as the triomphe goes. It is also just less popular then the CF (a pro for me) yet sooo classy and stunning. Celine has some of the best leather shoes,bags etc imo

The only smooth calfskin bag I am still impressed with is the Givenchy Antigona! I used it daily for work, rain or shine and there are literally no marks on it at all. The other brands should find out how Givenchy did it 😅 btw I love this Triomphe too!! Thank you for the review xoxoxo

I used to have this bag in pink (the Phoebe Philo version back then). It was beautiful and could fit A LOT. But I would not repurchase it as I found it to not be convenient for my lifestyle (needed both hands to close, for example, etc...). GORGEOUS nonetheless!

Interesting. I own this bag for nearly 2 years and don't find it to be delicate at all. I don't baby my bags but also don't spray perfume on it and definitely gotten a few drizzles on it, I just wipe it dry immediate with soft tissues. So far no stains or scratches.

I love this bag but I also have issues with this bag. The hardware scratches supe easy and I baby my bags, more over it is showing signs of oxidation. Going to contact the Celine store when I have a chance to replace the hardware because it’s a bit ridiculous.

Is the leather belt as delicate as the bag?

The Celine bag is much higher quality leather than that YSL bag you held up. You would expect that alcohol would be damaging to smooth leather. What a shame!

I guess I’m confused how fragrance would get on the bag to begin with, and haven’t seen this comment on the bag on any other review. Amazing Celine replaced your bag so easily.
I’m guessing, she applied her fragrance before walking out the door. The mist may have caused the marks.
