@@PepsiColaCrystalit's dubstep and always has been, these people calling it riddim are the ones who are embarrassed to admit they listen to dubstep so they used the Jamaican term "riddim" to make it sound "cooler"
@@saltysnackkid it is dubstep. But most ppl called that "typical overuse drop", a riddim/tearout. Same thing as Brostep. It just so that ppl can search easier on what kind of dubstep they wanted to hear haha. And u will find this kind of thing on the edm genre too. I dont make this up. But i kinda get your point. People just like to make stuff especially the fans 😂
@@PepsiColaCrystal honestly i refer to the subgenres by their respective names when searching for the type of dubstep i really want and i like to classify it as is. i was just culturing the man because when a song is drumstep, i will call it drumstep. filthstep? filthstep. brostep? brostep. ROBOSTEP? robostep. GAH CRUNKSTEP? CRUNKSTEP! but if you really put it down to the core it's just dubstep or if you wanna go even lower to the lost molecules of time you would call it edm! it's honestly perfectly fine if people call it riddim or whatever, just educating :3

I first listened to this back when it released in 2011 before I knew how to DJ. now that I know what made this, It honestly makes it that much more special to me. I hope this video lives on for a long while.
