I'm fascinated with these images as much as the next person and wish I could step back in time for a visit, BUT bear in mind that a commercially-staged postcard photo to advertise a motel, restaurant, or tourist venue is not necessarily an accurate gauge of how it was to actually live in those times, any more than a "Leave it to Beaver" or "Father Knows Best" episode represented real life for most families. Life in those times was neither simple nor easy for many individuals and families, regardless of race, and I'm old enough to have witnessed some of it.

My parents always made sure they took us on a 'groovy' trip every summer. I can remember everything was so laid back, relaxing...not like traveling today. Everyone is in such a rush. We would take our time just enjoying each other and the beautiful sights. Our three week trip to Calif. did get a little hectic when dad could not find the Golden Gate Bridge! Being from Kansas we were not used to the traffic even in 1963! LOL Good times...good memories!

Yeah, the good old days when people had class and respect, and apparently EVERYONE was white. Because, of course, a large number of the restaurants and hotels featured in these vintage photos didn’t welcome anyone who wasn’t white.
You’re pining for a time when there were Americans regularly denied jobs, lodging, food, bathroom facilities, and even the opportunity to swim in those perfect pools, due to the color of their skin or their faith.
Rose colored glasses make it easy to delude oneself about the “good old days.”

By way of contrast. I had a birthday dinner at a very upscale Denver restaurant last night. Most people dressed up for the occasion but there were a number of men in regular tee shirts with ball caps on. When I was younger (up until around 1985) men and boys took off hats indoors and wore nicer clothing to nicer venues. Is this important? Only in the sense that no one feels obliged to observe any standards anymore. That is the definition of societal chaos.

Great images! It was surely a time of unbridled wealth, hope, and optimism. Lot's of great memories. Perhaps these Norman Rockwellish illustrations are a bit over the top, but the general mood is there. Notice the lack of minorities in these illustrations. Notice the absurdity of some of them, i.e. the couple sitting, for some unknown reason, on the green while the lady is presumably making a putt? What is that all about? It certainly was a time of family vactions and families doing things together contrasted with today's family in which the kids are given a hundred bucks and sent to a Taylor Swift concert! These are clearly the hay days of advertising and psychology coming together to form the media propaganda machine of today. Oh the longing for a simpler life!

aah yes.. when people actually interacted with one another; when men were men and women were women. No fat people, no tattoo's, no slobs, no homeless camps, no graffiti, no dirty streets, etc. 1945 - 1963 were the golden years of the US (yes, yes my african-american friends... I know it was not good for everyone... I'm just generalizing and comparing it to now... some things have improved, but it's been mostly downhill since the Kennedy assasination).

In the bustling city of Moscow, where elegance and propriety are held in the highest esteem, the young ladies of society are often to be found before their looking-glasses. With a care and attention that speaks to their refined sensibilities, they arrange their hair and apply their makeup, ever mindful of the impression they must make.
The streets of Moscow, too, present a picture of cultivated grace. Adorned with hanging flowers and devoid of any unsightly vagrants, they offer a pleasing prospect to the discerning eye. Luxurious carriages traverse these avenues, bearing their occupants to engagements of the utmost importance.
Among the many sights to be observed, one cannot overlook the soldiers, resplendent in their uniforms. They stand as a testament to the strength and valor of the nation, ever prepared to defend against the aggressions of those misguided NATO forces.
Oh, how delightful it would be to promenade along Moscow's boulevards in the gentle embrace of summer! The restaurants, with their tables so elegantly laid, invite one to partake of the finest repast. The sidewalks, so scrupulously maintained that not even the remnants of a discarded cigarette are to be found, reflect a society that values order and decorum.
Yet, in contemplating other cities of renown, such as Paris, London, and Berlin, one cannot help but feel a pang of sorrow. Where once these places might have rivaled Moscow's splendor, they now present a disconcerting image. The resentful glares of recent refugees, the threats and uncouth behavior that mar the once-peaceful streets, all speak to a decline most distressing.
Indeed, it must be acknowledged that Europe, and even the States, have fallen victim to a most unfortunate fate. The machinations of those who harbor ill will and destructive visions have wrought havoc upon the fair-skinned race. One can only hope that the grace and elegance that still flourish in Moscow may yet endure, a beacon of civility in a world that seems increasingly bereft of such virtues.

The W-estern peoples had to be taken down to usher in this: The GREAT RESETt = the Great Tribulationn = (Distresss of those days / End Times of Revelationn chapter 6) = New World Order = New Normal = Agenda 21 / 30 = 4th Industrial Revolutionn = 4th Beastt in Daniel
This is the end times. We are in the GREAT TRIBULATIONn spoken of in the Bible. Read Revelationn ch 6 - the 4 horsemenn of the Apokalypse and the the seals which outline the Distress of those [THESE] days. We are at seal 3 - HYPERINFLATION & SCARCITY to squeeze us to markk of beastt - QQUANTUM DDOT TATTTOO: Microsoftt Platform for finances & Storage of ALL personal data on the physical body coming with a MICRONEeDLE SKINPATTCH/ VA666INE like a band-aid) -Will also provide Proof of Va666ination- CBDCs, Digital IDd and va666ines are merging together. (See Revelationn 13:16-18 &14:9-12)
==> Let us turn to the Lord while we can find him. When we come to J-esus in humble repentance (depart from our sins, which are dragging us to hell/, and ask for forgiveness; Mt. 12:41, Jonah 3:5) and believe on him, we are born again and have salvation. A good prayer to pray to come to initial salvation is “Lord, have mercy on me a sinner”. (Luke 18:13) Show our repentance/ by our deeds (Acts 20:22) and submit to Jesus, a faith that obeys and endures to the end (Matthew 10:22, Hebrews 5:9) There is no once saved always saved.
