Norton Antivirus - My testing and results!
How are we going to check how good is Norton vs viruses? Simple, I’m going to disable real-time protection, place 10 malware files throughout my device, and then run a full system scan to see how well the antivirus performs overall. Now I do need to turn off real-time protection since it catches most of the files before even reaching my computer. Alright, let's talk numbers and, in Norton's case, those independent results didn't lie at all. Norton found all malware files quite easily, taking only about 12 minutes to complete the scan. What was more surprising to me, was the fact that it only used 60-76% of my CPU during this process, so I definitely can't call its performance slow.

How much will this level of protection cost you? Actually, I wouldn't call Norton expensive especially when considering all the extra features it comes with. infact using norton 360 delux here for up to 5 devices here been using since 2010 only issue is its high in cpu usage when doing a full scan not much of a big deal overall have had no issues atm with it protects me very well

I am a long time norton user but what I find irritating is the offer of paid add ons such as norton utilities ultimate. I currently use Norton 360 and am happy with the features it has, due to the unwanted, paid, updates I am now thinking of changing to another anti virus program.

Norton's VPN list is too heavily full of members of the Five Eyes, Five Eyes Plus, Six Eyes, Nine Eyes, Fourteen Eyes, NATO and EU members. I also wish they allowed choosing different cities, especially within the USA.
I had turned off the automatic renewal feature months ahead of the expiration, yet it "miraculously" turned itself back on just prior. I found out when they charged and notified me around 32 days prior to the expiration. Note that the auto renewal price is significantly higher than buying a new upgraded version. It was not easy getting refunded.
I have heard, but am unable to confirm, that the Password Manager is still free and usable if you cancel and uninstall your subscription to the full product. I have also heard that transferring the list from Norton Password Manager to another company's has been hit or miss with many.
I agree with the problem of the products coming with a non-adjustable amount of PCs allowed is a problem.

Wait!!! What I found from Norton is it put to sleep the malware or Ransonware . When Norton was active all malware found & deactivated it, but when the year ended all the malware returned. So you don't remove it, but put it to sleep & if you don't renew your Norton contract, the ransomware will comeback. I used to be able to remove this ransonware myself, but this laptop is slower then dial up.
