    Chicken Shami Kabab is a popular South Asian appetizer made with ground chicken, lentils, and spices. Here's a basic recipe to make Chicken Shami Kabab:
    Ingredients:
    500 grams of boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
    1/2 cup chana dal (split Bengal gram lentils), washed and soaked for 1 hour
    1 large onion, finely chopped
    2-3 green chilies, chopped
    1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
    1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    1 teaspoon coriander seeds
    1 teaspoon red chili powder
    1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
    1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
    1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
    1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
    Salt to taste
    Oil for frying
    Instructions:
    In a pressure cooker, add the soaked chana dal, chicken pieces, chopped onion, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
    Add water just enough to cover the ingredients. Pressure cook for about 4-5 whistles or until the chicken and lentils are tender and cooked through.
    Once cooked, remove the pressure cooker from heat and allow the pressure to release naturally. Open the lid and let the mixture cool down completely.
    Once cooled, transfer the mixture to a food processor or blender. Blend until you get a smooth paste-like consistency. If the mixture is too wet, you can add some breadcrumbs to bind it.
    Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl. Add garam masala powder, black pepper powder, chopped coriander leaves, and chopped mint leaves. Mix everything well.
    Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into flat round patties or oval shapes, similar to kababs.
    Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the kababs in the pan.
    Fry the kababs until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides. Make sure to flip them occasionally for even cooking.
    Once done, remove the kababs from the pan and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
    Serve the Chicken Shami Kababs hot with mint chutney, sliced onions, and lemon wedges.
