Great presentation.
Another South African living outside SA here and I love your recipes . My mom passed away a year ago and I missed her food so I was searching and happy I found your page :)
Hi Happynappyable, Wow this comment got me right in thre feels. Sorry to hear about your mom, that must be so hard. This is one of the main reasons why I started trying to learn as many recipes as possible from my parents. Food really does connect us to our past. I'm thankful you were able to find something that reminded you of her. Are there any other recipes that you would like to see?
Thanks again Happynappyable. Hope youre keeping well and having a good week.

Hi there Devan
Just came across your video. My first thought was „this guy is from SA“. I’m a former SA living in Germany. I love cooking the recipes from my mother. She was a very good cook and insisted that we daughters learn how to cook. The cabbage curry is exactly how she cooked it.
Hi Ursula, thanks so much for the lovely comment. So good to hear from former saffas living abroad, we are all over the places. Hearing that the cabbage curry was exactly how your mother’s cooked it makes me so happy. Especially with living aboard it’s the only way I feel connected with my roots back home. I will be posting more dishes in the new year so definitely keep an eye out of that. Have a great day Ursula!!

Hi Champa, you could add a little cocoa powder and sugar to the flour and water that I use to make the lines. Let me know how you go!
I had chocolate lined hot cross buns in Australia and wanted to know whether it’s a different one Thanks a lot for kind and early reply
YUM MOUTH WAS WATERING and I don’t even like hot cross buns normally
Hi can egg be skipped in the recipe. Thanks!
Hi! The egg is necessary to bind the ingredients together. It will be difficult to make it without it.
