Its like i get the vibe or general idea of the song but the lyrics basically feel like she wrote a story and grabbed random sentences from it and put them in a song with no regard for context... And i dont get it, but i do get it. Like, i think i understand. Idk. This song is so beautiful. Its so outside of any structure i can relate to. This song makes me feel unstable. It makes me uncomfortable. It makes me feel free and vulnerable. Grimes is such an exceptional artist.
It's not that hard to grip, for me at least. Have you never experienced being and feeling completely free in the night, in the dark? Even tho, being a woman, it's easy to be a pray to really anybody..and yet, still not feeling afraid to do it? It's exactly like she says, I just look straight, never turn behind, because frankly I don't care what's behind, even tho someone could literally come from behind and snap my neck lol. It's really a freeing experience the moment you lose that sense of fear. I'm guessing this is what she's talking about. And tbh, being this free, never got me into any trouble, like ever, not even one stalker, and I could say I'm a good looking young woman. I guess you attract what you fear after all, so since I'm not afraid of the night, I never attracted anything so far. Is anyone else feeling the same?
