Thanks to Square Enix for providing early access to the game! This video wasn't paid for and all opinions are mine. A Square Enix employee brought this version to my house on a laptop and I recorded it using my usual setup before editing the video myself later. I fed the Square Enix employee sandwiches and some vegetarian sausage rolls.

I really wish the Just Cause devs would team up with the guys that made Red Faction: Guerilla and make a kickass game where every building is destructible AND have all the movement freedom of Just Cause

I walked across the entire maps in the Just Cause games. Walking across Just Cause 3 from end to end took 7 hours. I really wonder how big this map is going to be

jc3 was 400 square miles not kilometres i think.
This map is the same size as JC3(1000 square kilometers), but there's a lot more landmass and mountains (and caves i think).
It's bigger in the sense that there's a lot more in it 🙂

It just looks like a skin. JC2 to JC3 was worth it for the retractable tethers, the wingsuit, and the multiple tethers*. JC3 to JC4 just has better graphics and c4 booster styled grappling hooks that look like a pain.
I assume this is a mid-late Alpha so they’ll be adding more stuff later.
And if there isn't more I'd assume you will still buy it.

Just cause 3 scales with more cores/threads. It's great for my ryzen 7, but not for my ps4.

Looks super fun, i just hope sooner or later the devs let us destroy ALL structures and buildings, not just bridges and explosive things. Or at the very least make the buildings in small villages destructible, that'd be so sick especially during a AI vs. AI war. Think about just running into a battle and buildings just crumbling and getting blown to shit all around you.

@I don't need a meme The destruction in Red Faction Guerilla was super fun and it was pretty lag free, even on a low end setup you could keep high settings, but it was very little buildings and also there wasn't anything memorable in that game other than the destruction, it would have been nice to have seen a big ass tower or a mini city that could be blown up. All i need is a combo of Red Faction Guerilla and Just Cause 4
@Thomas Green i had never heard of mercenaries 2 and just checked it out and it seems kinda dated, even Red Faction Guerilla is several years old but that has much better more dynamic destruction. IDK i just hope we can get to the level of destruction that Crackdown 3's Multiplayer promises (But IMO it probably won't happen, idk it seems to good to be true rn)

there are alot of reused assets or sounds maybe its because its still in development. for example the booster sounds like the bavarium wingsuit from just cause 3 and falling animation looks identical to jc3 i just wish it is a new enjoyable just cause because just cause is my favorite franchise and i don't want it to be ruined by reused assets/sounds

because it gets old when you play jc3 and hear the same sounds over and over again you want something new but jc3's sounds are amazing the music, gun sounds, explosion sounds

in jc 3 I was actually faster with the normal wingsuit when going horizontally so you don't actually need the bavarian one.

Flo 101 one definitely the offer you have that super grappling hook that does balloons that make you go to space a upgraded tether that can super yank something and when something touches you can make them impulse apart and a booster that doesn’t explode and there’s secondary fire with drones burst fire sticky grenades which basically is c4 and that wind gun plus whatever is for the dlc

Flo 101 Rebel drop is renamed “Supply Drop” and has been massively updated from JC3, you can now “quick drop” instead of going through the menus.
C4 has not been comfirmed yet
I have the game and can confirm c4 is gone but replaced with new toys
@@alexhere3635 C4 hasn't disappeared, with the new grapple customisation you can turn off boost and switch on "explode after boost" Then you've got your own C4 on your grapple which you can explode!

I don't remember a use of benders in any of the old games. The black market is all you need. Still I see what you mean but the main thing I missed from just cause 2 is being able to go to different bioms and such like from desert to snow top mountains. Also things like the mile high club and lost island were cool places to mess around. Hope something like that will be a thing again otherwise it will be kind of empty feeling yeah

Only so much crazier you can get from JC3, but they managed to push it a bit further. Still never actually completed a just cause game. I get distracted and the stuff you do randomly is so much better than the missions. Game needs a built in reset like they added to later farcry games. I am sure there is a mod for taht, but I have not bothered with mods.

i think that's because one of the main complaints of just cause 3 was the preformence, and these graphics must have not done well on slower machines

I just bought a new laptop that was able to run Just Cause 3 at max settings with frame stutters every once in a while. If I can't run Just Cause 4 due to it being another un-optimized mess (which we don't know if it will or will not be) I'm going to lose my shit.

Would be nice if you wouldn't just show the balloons but also new vehicles, new things on the map and other improvements.
its almost as if he did show improvements like the new air currents for wingsuiting and the boosters being separate from your explosives and the tethers having secondary functions and the secondary fire modes and the frontlines and that some vehicles have new functions

So it's basically just cause 3, but with all the awesome parts of just cause 2 that didn't carry over to 3
