If it wasnt because of you i would of gave up ages ago now i have two suits of armor( samurai and knight) with all the extra armor pieces and weapons so thank you man
Ages ago retard? Please this guy has only been on a year ago... You probably just move on to one of the other hundred videos on how to make foam or cardboard armour.... Idiot
Fantastic! I'm helping a kid try to start cosplaying as a dwarven warrior. He told me he didn't think he could cosplay because costumes are expensive. I think we'll change his mind with this video. 😁
I just started my project on my tau commander enforcer battle suit and you have provided a lot of help in what to do Such as the torso maneuvering part and the shoulder pads. This video is very helpful for making cosplay out of cardboard 10/10 tutorial
When you’re a bit older PLEASE do yourself a favor and give welding/sheet metal sculpture a go! Seriously, creating cardboard forms as you do is step one of making killer sheet metal/welded pieces of art, armor, sculpture, EVERYTHING!! All you do is make the project as you are in cardboard, then deconstruct and use the cardboard pieces as a template. You lay the cardboard down on a sheet of metal (like ~16 gauge cor-10 steel is the best and cheapest for beginning and learning), then trace the cardboard onto the sheet metal, then cut out all your pieces, then start fabricating/welding the pieces together just like you assembled the cardboard structure. You have SERIOUS potential and hope like hell you see this comment
I appreciate that and yeah I don’t like long videos that don’t get to the point and most of my videos are the necessary length for the build being demonstrated this one …well it was a big one
Looks like I discovered a criminally underrated channel! I think it would be cool if you build the Eyelander from team fortress 2 out of cardboard, I always wanted to make one but I lack the skill
i was enough of using belts to suit up my landsknetch armour until i found how to accuratly make it and suit it up... bro you deserve a knigths cross for your creativity
Ty so much bro I was about to give up and go to foam armor but then I found ur channel and I got that motivation, your so talented thank u for the tutorial
I was wondering how you did the cuirass measurements. I am thinking of making the Avant armor but the cuirass in that specific set has been difficult. Luckily, your cuirass can pass for the Avant cuirass and I was thinking of using that instead. This goes for the plackart, too. I love how your armor turns out!
Thank you for example one Pouldron/shoulder pad takes less than three hours because the waiting time for the paint to dry and stuff usually takes that long each video only takes a few minutes to edit like 20
Everything I design is custom and I don’t make templates. Sorry. I encourage you to sketch the things you want out on paper and look at images of the thing you’re trying to build
Whenever I make cardboard armor I reinforce it with tin cans as me and my friends always have a battle where we all face off against each other with cardboard weapons and armor and sometimes those things can hurt
@@MarksWorkshopcrft ye its usually under many layers of cardboard and duct tape on top of it and this time when i made my armor i used wooden planks into the chestplate (its stabproof)
Hi Mark, I love the build but can you please tell me how you did the faulds with a little bit more details? It's the part that I'm struggling with the most right now. I made two failed fauld pieces and I can't seem to get it right. Thanks
The first ones I made for this video at least are kind of angled so you could ride a horse because I’m on foot 100% of the time I rebuilt the faulds as you can see my later videos with me wearing the armor. So just make sure you make them slightly longer than the front half of your body so they go around comfortably….
I used para cord and stuck it in the bottom of the top piece and then connected it with the bottom of the following piece the last two pieces isolate together because I don’t need that flexibility
I did my own take on the articulation of the breastplate (under vs over) using duct tape. It turned out very nicely. I also have a janky, but excellent “clasp” system on the right side for easy donning/doffing thanks to you. So neat, so fun, so “8-bit”, so perfect for fooling around at Ren fest. 😂😂
For the wins I do at least a foot because by the time you bend it over you’ll have 4 inches covering the vulnerable part of your arm pit and the back of your shoulder and then for the length about a foot and a half
I don’t use patterns or templates I usually make my own sorry. I just draw the shape flat on a piece of cardboard with the idea of slits that you can go together that will make the round shape.
@greysonkalajian5956 sorry man I am free handing everything I’ve built I haven’t even made the template yet. I will try in the future it might take a while but I suggest you get some practice drawling shapes and geometry because that’s what helped me get as good as I am at building 3D things.
@@greysonkalajian5956 yeah sure, lots of cardboard and hot glue and duct, tape, gorilla glue, Paracord, popsicle, sticks, rubber bands, some kind of paste, like clay, or drywall spackle for the shaping of the left Pauldron. Hope that helps!
Sorry no, i Don’t use templates nor do i make them :( however you can still draw out your own patterns there is no default shape to Pouldrons and all knight armor look’s different and is all built different for different purposes

do you know roughly how much cardboard this takes? I wanna gauge how much I'm gonna need and see if I need to buy any
