Glad to see Radlands on this list! It was the first I thought of. Mindbug is another good one (it’s even made by Richard Garfield). If you’re a solo player, then Skytear Horde is a really good one that feels a lot like Magic in a very fun way.
Nice video! Radlands is so good. I would choose Remix Marvel instead of Fantasy Realms which surprised that you didn’t since you love Marvel. I played Res Arcana but it did not remind me of MTG! 😂 I’m waiting for my KS copy of MindBug. Another game that feels similar to MTG is Wizards of the Grimoire. A dueling card game where you have “mana” to pay for cards, deal damage to your enemy, and a trigger cooldown for you to use your cards again. I recommend it ✌️
Good choice! Second person to mention WoG so I gotta check that out. Also, I love Marvel Remix too!! But I felt like I dominated the list with Marvel stuff hah
I only found out about Res Arcana last year when my Monday night BGA group stumbled onto it. We liked it so much we got a physical copy for when we get together.
Would have loved to have seen how some of the mechanics of certain games may have related to some the colors or combinations of colors from magic. Additionally, would enjoy a run through of some of your commander decks.
Great video idea! First game I thought of was Marvel Champions. I really enjoy Radlands. Unfortunately, that's one I may need to cull from the collection as no one else in my circle of friends/family seems to enjoy it. 🥺
Definitely check out Millennium Blades. The game's theme is actually a CCG meta and there's a card buying phase where you buy/sell/trade cards and then there's a tournament phase. The game has tons of "sets" that are designed like booster sets. It's the all in one board game that really mimics a CCG meta, pretty cool. Also if you like Res Arcana, can't go wrong with Race for the Galaxy!
Millennium Blades is definitely on my list. I want to play RftG in-person before I play on BGA, I heard it's tough to learn online. Thank you for the suggestions!
@@rolling.reggie Yeah Race for the Galaxy is notoriously difficult to teach because of the iconography but it does speed the game up quite a bit once you know it.

Skytear Horde is high on my list to try!!! Radlands is rad. Thanks for watching

Shout to Legend of Runeterra’s ‘Swole Squirrel’ 💪🏼 also, love Radlands!
MTG's Swole Squirrel is Mr. Orfeo and of course I made a Commander deck for him.
Great camera work in an all-around solid video. Subbed.
Welcome! Thank you for commenting and watching. See you around in the comments.
That Lord of the Rings MtG set almost got me too!
Stay away! Protect your wallet LOL

Expansions are next haha
Wait you forgot MindBug and KeyForge especially because both are super awesome AND from the inventor of Magic himself \o/
I hadn’t played either at the time! But just finally played Mindbug and own First Contact. Awesome game. He might just be a genius lol
Another great review. Great recommendations for any MTG player. Fans of MTG, Legends of Runeterra, and/or Dice Throne might enjoy Ashes Reborn.
Good call! Another big boy for me to add to the list. Thank you for watching.
Millennium blades is a good one! It’s a TCG in a box, plus it’s made by level99 who are known for filling their games with loads of content!
A few people have been commenting this one, so I gotta check it out! Thanks for watching.
Great stuff!! Loved them all
Don’t @ me on that first statement
Ditto
LOL I also got into board gaming initially to move away from MTG. But years after, oh look, some decks keep popping up in my collection, weird. 😂
MTG has so much for a player who loves to tinker.
It's really hard to compete with the endless possibilities of deck brewing!
If you like MTG I definitely recommend trying Wizards of the Grimoire as well!! A fantastic wizard duelling game! 😊 Loved the video Reggie!
Will do! I saw it on your channel :D looks right up my alley. I wonder if it's hard to get a hold of? Thank you for watching and commenting
I can finally sidestep falling into the MtG hole and jump right into the boardgame hole 😂
Good call my friend!!! It’s a money sink hole haha. But Fallout cards are coming soon. Thank you for watching.
I enjoy your number 1 as well. I feel Seasons is quite similar, not in objective but in the card use and combos (sometimes).
you clearly have good taste. Adding Seasons to the list! Thank you for watching :)

I am not enough of an MTG head to do that just yet hahah but def can hold onto this for the future.
Will take a look at Res Arcana 👍
If you like engine builders, I feel like it's a winner :D thank you for watching
I really need to try these out. I'm a board gamer and a reformed magic player. As long as these don't cause any relapses I should be fine 😜
You've been warned lol buying one deck is like quicksand
Another suggestion for MtG fans is a little known dueling card game called Worldbreakers
Wow, I've never heard of this one. Looks amazing. Thank you for sharing.

I will play Radlands with you at a convention! It's tough to hold on to great games that don't get played lol

I read this as MTG = Majorie Taylor Green.
Honestly, I’d rather not go near either, but great video!
Netrunner!
The classic!
