- It’s here!! Our full RV tour!
We currently live full time stationary on an 80 acre farm that my parents own. Living in the RV is a way to financial freedom for us. We plan to purchase our own farm in the years to come. We are farming right along side my parents on this farm now, where we grow food and raise animals together. It has really been an amazing experience in our tiny home.
We absolutely love full time tiny living in our tiny home! It has its challenges but they have been so worth it!

Here at Calvey Homestead, we are trying to become as self-sufficient as possible. We grow a garden every year and raise a good portion of our own meat. We also try to support local farms as much as possible. We love cooking, canning, and preserving. We are lucky enough to have other family members who live this lifestyle as well. We have our daughter on our land, and hopefully soon the other 1 will also be there full time with us. Family compounds homesteads are awesome if able to do it. Your rv is def. a home and very nice.
I know you posted this a year ago and may have already found a solution for your spices, but what we did for our daughters rv travel trailer home, is put a hinged folding table on her island, took out the actual dinning table (hers was a booth dinette) and put in a book shelf in front of the side slide window for more pantry space and a small buffet under the other back slide window (in a L formation) We also bought her 2 of the old CD type of media shelves (they are really skinny) stacked them on top of each other and fastened to the wall in her bed room for shoe storage that she put a curtain over to look better. Her rv doesnt have a closet just the over head storage so we got creative.

It really is! It was important to us that our son had his own space/room. The fact that we found something where he could have his own bathroom was pure luck!
I thought it would be harder to live in a smaller space but it has been totally fine. The hardest part is clutter. You have to be so intentional with little things here and there. That’s my biggest struggle. Otherwise, we love it!! ☺️
I liked your rv too, it gives me ideas how i will organize mine. You need some wire shelves. Judgement as i think we tweck as we go along

Awesome video. Really make it look like a nice space . Me and my partner were contemplating investing in an RV for a stationary lifestyle change. Renting has gotten insane and we’re thinking of just making the investment to cut back some expenses for a while while also using it at my parents land (not 80 acres worth) as like a “guest house” kind of situation so we can still be close without imposing on their space as well. The only issue is the water / power setup since it’s not necessarily RV friendly so it makes me nervous

We did actually pay to have water and power run over to where the RV sits. We knew we would be here for a bit so the investment was worth it. If you can figure out power and if water is close enough, go for it. We absolutely love it! Downsizing was so freeing too!

Very nice space. What about the outside, is it skirted and insulated?
Yes we had it skirted to help with insulation. We used a billboard tarp(s) this previous winter. I’m thinking we might try something a bit better this coming summer. It worked well but I would like it to be as effective as possible.

Yes we actually ran electric from my parents electrical box in there shop over to our gravel pad!
Is the fridge 12v ?
Yes! 12v and runs off the 2 solar panels on top of the rv! Which is nice for any type of power outage if we have one.

I wish I had any room!! I need to come up with some good storage ideas! Especially since we live on a farm and different shoes are needed for different tasks! I wish it were that easy! 😭

I'm planning on getting one to put beside my parents i'm on disability and this will be perfect for saving money, do you have to have any rapairs done?
There have been some repairs here and there. I think that’s with anything though. Regular maintenance as well. There are tons of FB groups that are super helpful too!
Always make sure to get it inspected before buying. There can be hidden problems that you may miss.
