I have seen some examples of Aiwa's earlier stuff. But it seems when they started coming out with the mini stereos in the 90s is when mini stereos got somewhat respectable.
I have already installed the wiring to be on the half wall, I like it and wanted it there as I can get to it easily while sitting on the toilet. I do plan to paint the bathroom eventually, the paneling is just too dark!
Great find! I just can't stand how shiny new it looks in contrast to the wood paneling. Maybe you could put it under the sink or in a vanity of some kind out of the way. Though the tinyest detail annoys me!
hmm i have a aiwa cx-naj80. the manual i found online says nsx-aj80. this has 250 watts. there is 2 connections on each speaker. one for sub and other for high and mid. there are 2 satellite speakers for panorama. it is not bad. been using it for years. got free in 2004 i think. might send manual in youtube mail thing.
Aiwa started in the early 80's making conponent systems, not mini stereos. They started making those all in one stereos in the 90's but this one truely is small.
I was behind the truck of a sheetrock company on my way to work this morning. I liked their name: "Rock Doctor".

If I remember correctly, they are rated at around 60Watts "Nominal" the ceiling speakers are noticeably less efficient than the Aiwa Speakers.
You said it right the first time ("i-wah"), but then you called it "i-o-wah".
I just got an aiwa on the web I love it sounds amazing
Are you going to just paint the paneling or some new drywall?
There are two color coded RCA jacks on the back that are the AUX input.

How much do you think this is worth now a days?

First time I've heard Aiwa pronounced as "Iowa". :-)
Is there an alarm function and if so how do i set it to bbc one alarm
If there is, it can only be accessed via the remote (which I don't have)
whats the disco track played from the aux?
Probably just paint it initially, may install sheetrock at a much later time. But I have other projects of higher priority.
