Beautiful, Yogesh bhai. You probably don't remember me, but I spent a weekend with you and Purbayan Chatterjee traveling to the Jullunder festival from Delhi and back. I was currently studying in Delhi with Akram bhai, and he suggested that I go with you to the festival. The journey home was particularly crazy, because we spent about 4 hours, during the night, trying not to get lost in extremely thick fog. At times we were on the open road, going no more than walking speed, until we would bump into the side barrier of the road. That's how thick the fog was. Then all of a sudden a bus, with fog lights would come screaming past us, and we would chase after them, and stick on their tail as close as we could. Whenever the bus turned off the road, or stopped for a break, we would be back in the endless maze of fog without any guidance. You and Purbayan bhai where extremely tired in the back of the little Tata car we were in, so you kept falling asleep and I would have to navigate with the driver who didn't speak a word of English, and my Hindi was pretty pathetic at best. It was an adventure I'll never forget. Needless to say, you guys made it to Delhi airport, on time for your flight to the US and I got back to Delhi in one piece. Anyway, thank you for your wonderful tabla practise advise, and brilliance over the years. I often use your suggestions in my tabla practise. I hope to hear you perform again live someday.

Is it possible to include some knowledge about pitch of bhanda akshra like dha, dhin, etc. How to tune especially bayan to nicely blend with tabla to result a pitch to suit the instrument one is following or how do you use your wrist to adjust the pitch of the bayan sound to suit the tabla pitch. Is this common resonance Important to the instrument tablist following?
Or simply, how would produce a good quality dha or dhin sound? What is the theoretical quality of dha or dhin to which the tabla player must try to approach?

Namaskar Sir!! i dont have anyone for sangath to practice vilambit for vocals. the problem is when i get an opportunity its difficult to catch sam and also not paly any mukda's. could you please help with some exercise.
Sir , thanks for all efforts. 🙏but need to put bol or noteetaion in matra ,Khali tali. So people can play and this will forever this is request. Rest I m 78 yrs old and playing a tabla in classical music but only for my mediation. .
