That looks excellent! I've been thinking about going with the same setup. I have the MadDog seat cover, and while it helps a little, my tuchus still pays the price.
Thank you for doing such a thorough review on this. I have a similar problem and are looking forward to the new 1.5” higher seat pad with the gripper material. 🤩
I got the same one for my 2018. I'm 300 lbs and the stock seat was killing me after a while. I can ride for almost any length of time now without complaint. The Seat Concepts is a little wider and obviously a better padding material. Best modification I did to my TDub so far. More enjoyment riding now. Now to work on that whole 300 lb issue!!!
@@mike1156 it was the best $200 I've spent on it and if I could keep only one mod it would be that seat. Just a little wider and I guess a better "foam" and it makes for a much better ride. If you do get one, come back and let me know or go to my "channel" where I posted a few half assed videos myself. My email is in my "about" section.
@@mike1156 Mine took a while too, but that was during semi peak covid times. I went with ¼ inch staples myself. I see most people saying ⅜. Have a good heavy duty stapler and probably not a problem now, but I wouldn't staple into extremely cold plastic. In my mind, too brittle and won't get the penetration you want.
Good luck getting one I ordered one five weeks ago never got it checked their web page and they say now 8-10 more weeks. Got a feeling they are going under and getting orders that are never going to be filled. I understand the supply issues, but you do what legit companies do list your product as out of stock.
is the seat height higher? i dont much like the curve in the stock seat. wondering if there is enough cover material to add more padding to level it out?
How much is the new seat? I might need one. I just bought in November. Started out a few miles at a time to break it in. Last ride I put a whopping 7 miles around my neighborhood now with 88 miles total and that's when I got the tail bone pain. I didn't expect that and I sure didn't like it one bit. So here I am searching for options. Yours looks awesome. How much did you pay?
I like these, it looks nice, but honestly for $220 it should come assembled with a seat pan so you just have to bolt the new one on but if it works that’s cool and it looks good

Did you get the high rise or standard?
@@mike1156 I got the standard seat, still loving it.

It is slightly higher...and significantly wider where it matters. Flat across the top where you sit. MUCH better than stock seat.

Did you spring for the all black vinyl, all black carbon fiber, or the mixed? Just curious if the material makes much of a difference. Thanks!
All black carbon fiber
Thanks for posting, the stock TW seat is terrible and I've been trying to find a good photo of the
carbon fiber material. Guess I'll be ordering one.
Very clean and tidy 🙂 #salute
Did you go with the stock hight or the taller seat?
Taller with more padding
What length staple did you use?
Good question. I used 3/8" staples
