- Summer is a great time to visit a wool & fiber festival; it's also when the annual The Tour de Fleece takes place. I wanted to share some thoughts on finding a good first fleece to process because I've seen a lot of posts asking about picking and processing a first fleece.

Thank you for your informative podcast. I've spun California red before. It wasn't my favorite since I had so much red fibers come out. My hubby bought me a fast flyer for my Sonata so I'm going to try again to spin some cotton. Also I have some 50/50 yak silk I want to spin. Have you done Icelandic roving? I know you do lots of fleece. I'm still unsure how I'm going to spin that. Have a great week!!😊
