    Thank you for doing this video on the tech behind these instruments, helps put your other videos into perspective and gives context. Another thing that was very interesting was touching on the limitations of current tech helps one understand when someone is overcharging without added value.

    Very informative video. I own the iSine 10s myself and I love them.
    In regards to the EQ, Audeze released an upgraded Cipher cable that conforms to the new MFi standards that Apple implemented. Audeze says it just allows for more power from the lightning port, but I also noticed they tweaked the EQ to be much more balanced at base level (without adjustments). I don’t think it’s on their website, but if you email them they will sell you it. It’s also much lighter than the original, the DAC being plastic instead of metal.
    On another note, the me1s were far too mid-forward to my ears for enjoyable listening. They were very detailed, and incredibly well built, but I just couldn’t hear much past the mids. I’d like to hear what they sound like after some EQ tweaks.

      Thanks. I am a Android based person so I walk the EQ jungle because I have to. The ME.1 are much improved by a reduction at 1Khz and a boost at 4Khz and some bass ( for me)

    Great review - how’s the comfort on those Audeze? And where to use them I mean not outside since they’re open and inside might as well get over ear for the same price..

      They fit awesome. Those earhooks could use some foam or rubber tube for better long term comfort though. I use at home.

    • @RojasTKD7
      @RojasTKD7 6 років тому

      Comfort varies from person to person. They where ok for my but the driver housing touched my ear causing discomfet after extended use. I recently picked upsome SYMBIO W Wide Bore Silicone+Memory Foam Hybrid ear tips and the now sit further our so it no longer touches my ears and are more comfortable for me.
      Yes, they are open but not they are small (relative to normal open headphones) and I use them outside and at the gym with little issues. Of course at low volumes you will hear more of you environment that with traditional isolating IEMs. Leakage on this small drivers is also generally a non-issue, you have to be in a very quite environment and have high volume for other to be able to take notice.
      Even indoors at my desk I will often use the iSon's because how easy they are to wear vs my larger planar and other over-ear headphones.

    a million reviews out there on this iem, that iem - but I found your review the most helpful so far - BTW - I personally prefer IEM's to full size over ear - more accurate, more detail - also I live in a hot, humid climate and I find full size cans become hot & sweaty after wearing them for a while and the ear pads don't last long and can be expensive to replace - how would you compare Sax SRS 002 to Audeze i-sine 20 ? - thnx' for upload - greetings from Philippines

      @BadGuyGoodAudioReviews  6 років тому

      I am using the groovy tips. Try some small comply for comfort. Not sure which brands are being used as an alternative? Head-Fi has a thread on the Audeze and asking in there would probably yield some info :)

    • @alexdre
      @alexdre 6 років тому

      I believe the nozzle is 7mm so you can use anything that works with that. I have tiny ear holes so I use small comply 600s. Groovy tips work well too. Unlike most other iems, you don’t have to push the tips deep in your ear, just get a good seal in the opening.

    • @RojasTKD7
      @RojasTKD7 6 років тому

      I've used the groovey tips originally but recently switched to the SYMBIO W Wide Bore Silicone+Memory Foam hybrid. It's a tight fit but it works
      I don't find them to sound much different, but find they provide more comfort to me. Because they don't slide in far on the nozzle and keep the driver housing further out so they don't touch my ear and don't cause discomfort.

      What is the main weak point in the frequency of the 300? in your opinion.

    • @korling99
      @korling99 6 років тому

      Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews I’m still a novice to EQing but the cipher cable seems to solve the issue on the iSine 10 listening to tidal on an iphone like everyone else says. I’m planning to get some 2-pin to mmcx adapters to try the cable with the m300s which seem to share the same issue. It would be nice if Audeze had designed a cipher cable that could be programmed with a usb cord to the remote by computer with a 3.5mm connector and include the 3.5mm to lightning connector for ios or usb connector for other devices. Then you could lock in the EQ settings internally and use it with almost any device, not just ios. In general, I agree with your overall assessment of the different types of iems. I also own a pair of sony 7550s which I like a lot. I’m still learning though.

    • @BadGuyGoodAudioReviews
      @BadGuyGoodAudioReviews  6 років тому

      You are living the high life :) I'm a droid user and we are in the jungle right now. The Sony EX 800/7550 and 1000 are the finest dynamic driver IEM ever made IMO. Sony makes lots of crap but the team that made that earned their money...unless they made the cable too...then i take that back. Such awesome IEM and such crap cable. I got customs for both my EX. Like a bucket list item crossed off.

    • @fredsvv
      @fredsvv 6 років тому

      korling99, and how about the sound quality of the M300? I'm almost buying one, but the opinions are all differents. Some say that they are incredible, others say that have many problems and only became nice with eq. Can you compare it with your iSine?

    • @korling99
      @korling99 6 років тому

      Frederico Silva Vieira Veloso I’m still a beginner audiophile, but they sounded good to me out of the box playing high res files from an Aune M1s player - rock and jazz. The biggest problem with the m300s is the fit. As others on head-fi, I bought the groovy kit from Audeze and it worked, not the most comfortable, but not bad. With an iphone using Tidal, the isines with cipher cable (built in eq settings) sounds better than the m300s. If you aren’t using an ios device, the isines will require eq’ing also. For the price, it’s worth a try depending on your playback device. Should be easy to sell if it’s not your cup of tea. I’m keeping both for sure. Biggest issue with m300s is fit, but if you look on head-fi, there are ways to fix it with minor mods or get the groovy kit from Audeze.

      Did you have the 2.5? They shake ear wax out pretty good. Radius NHR21(?) also have excellent sub bass kick. I would get used 2.5 for best BANG for buck. The others are good and have quality but not quantity so much like the 2.5 with dials open

      I have only RHA T10, and had Shure 846 and Rose Cappuccino MKII 2.

      I found some 2.5 on ebay in my favorite Brushed Nickel exterior,
      for 1000$ + tax shipping to Germany...
      Is it worth it? putting that money once and be happy with perfect sound forever?
      Or I may look for some newer up-to-date IEMs, available in stores
      with the same thunder bass, and the clarity...
      I have also a concern if my iPhone is enough to kick ass with 2.5?
      May I better buy Kicker that don't require AMP so sound good, or else what...
      I'm fkng frustrated man, but I want great sound, that's something that

    FYI the iSine 20 is $549 and $599 with thy Cipher cable (you get both the 3.5mm and the iDevice Cipher cable). The iSine 10 is $349 and $399.
    PS I enjoy my iSine 10 greatly for their quality linear bass, but I do like to add bass quantity with EQ. I do wish Audeze will eventually develop a cipher cable and app for USB-C devices (but I understand having one that will work universally across Android manufacturers is an issue, hopefully in the future that will be remedied).

      Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews the iSines do have excellent clarity, but I’d be hard pressed to say they are the best in the iem world, clarity-wise. It could just be that I have young ears, but I hear an audible step-up in clarity with something like the Noble Kaiser Encore.
