These videos feel like they've been uploaded 5+ years ago, and I mean no offense with that at all. Today's videos feel overproduced and fake, and are stuffed with in-video ads and promotions (which is needed unfortunately in today's youtube world). These videos really have that retro UA-cam feel and it's great. Short simple clips, easy text to read, ncs music in the background, no bullshit. It takes me back to simpler times and I love watching these videos in their entirety. Keep it up man, I love your work!

Being able to put out the quality of work this channel does takes real skill and planning, let alone planning to make it budget friendly. I’m telling you lol. Here in middle Tennessee where I’m from, even with a hole like that in the block it would still fetch $1500-2000 just because of how clean everything the shell is. The engines are what’s dirt cheap around here. You can pick up a y7 like he pulled for like a $100 if you’re in the loop with the Honda people around here. Hell even a decent b18c1 would be maybe $300 at most. A ragged out ej1 shell, or even and ej7 like this would still be about $1500-2000 though.

I just bought a 97 EX coupe for $500 with a bad auto trans, the guy gave me another auto trans to go with it. The car had been wrecked before, maybe 2 times before and wasn’t really fixed back the best, I’ve been tearing into it and finding stuff that concerns me like body lines not adding up and stuff, but the car is solid and runs so I may just fix it back the right way.

This was my first car ever that I owned at age 18. Car was as old as me I had a white 1999 Honda Civic ex coupe with the moonroof. Paint looked new as day and car ran great but mine burned oil too like this one in the vid. Before he painted it back bumper was all black, I had to add oil to mine all the time. Had 163k when I got it for 1200 bucks I sold it with 190k and made my money back after I drove it for a year. Miss that car everyday.

Very nice your hard work paid off big time ...just add 18% tint and sunroof visor, if you can get away with it, im on the coast man 843, as soon as im done with my project may ride up there to check you out, i had a 1991.5 Honda Accord Ex 4 dr.sedan back in the 90's, with the 2.2L Multiport Programmed FI. VVtec, 4 sp.auto turbomatic transmission w/Sportmode and lock up torque converter, and the car avg.0-60 in 6.5 sec. i had 3 full grown adults in the car we each weighed at least 170 lbs a piece and had a solid pine box of 12" woofers in the trunk and the car still ran 120 mph, it stopped there and wouldn't go no faster but there was still a lil bit pedal left to go, i think due to factory govern, it was a beautiful black stallion with semi metallic black w/clear coat and gold pin striping exterior paint, and dual color interior blk leather dash and ivory colored cloth bucket seats and it had a sun/moon roof with tinted glass i had 5% limo tint on it and had a dark smoke roof visor on it, also had the full chrome fender trim all around to match the factory chromium rims and the front end leather bra oh yeah and the bass stayed bumpin due to that Rockford Fosgate 55 series amp and them JL 12" woofers....sheeit i miss that car so much now, i let it go down and got me a 1992 Pearl white w/red stripe down the center Pontiac GP with that DOHC 3100 and it had the red velvet buckets and back seat that was another smooth ass ride and fast too.

Nice build Justin. When you pulled out those brand new Rota slipstreams I was a bit puzzled, but it looked like you got a decent price. I was like damn, even though those are 16s, those rims and tires prob cost more than the car did. I expected you to go on CL and pick up a used set with good tires for around 150 and maybe sand and repaint them.

@@donttrip2366 Unfortunately no. I went to see the car with very high hopes but upon further inspection and a test drive, it turned out to be a pretty problematic vehicle. I told him that it clearly had flaws that were not mentioned in his ad and that I'd still buy it for a much lower, more reasonable price. He was frustrated with me and declined. I do have a vehicle though. About a month ago I picked up a mint condition stick shift 2000 Toyota Rav4 with 70,000 kilometers on it. That's barely any. I am extremely happy with my purchase as I have been daily driving this car and it has had no issues and is very fun to drive. Also, insurance is very cheap for it. I'm glad I didn't get that Subaru. Man, I feel like there is so much work here that it could be a 5 or 6 part series. I like that it's to the point and there is very little fluff. But if this UA-cam channel starts making money, there are a lot of people who would like to follow you through all of the detail of doing something like this. Also, people who are looking to do an engine swap or paint an engine bay might want a video just specifically on that with it in the title so they can find it.

Because of the trade ban between us and Cuba they have quite an impressive collection of mechanics who have fabbed their own parts for things and pretty much become engineer and mechanic. One of my good buddies and smartest most creative buddies comes from Romania. Doesnt have to be anything crazy if you love this shit build mowers, mopeds and whatever you have available to you and It will translate into knowledge you can use on all mechanics.

A lot of comments about how hard it is to buy a car this cheap that is in good condition. Trust me they are out there. I just bought a 2006 Honda civic lx coupe for $500 that runs and drives but needs suspension work and new radiator support due to deer hit. No rust on the body. Previous owner felt it was a P.O.S. due to the issues with the suspension. Half tempted to make a video of fixing it up but not sure if there would be enough interest in watching it since I would be going stock and not tuner.

Yes, the Civic and Integra were easily stolen about 10-15 years ago. Justin himself got his car stolen once. I think it was an integra, but it's in his videos. Since they're not as common anymore, maybe they aren't as stolen as much since there's less of a market for interchangeable parts now. I rarely see civics or integras for this generation anymore.
