Dave. With all the reviewers out there most don't watch for the figure alone, a bit of it is your personality too homie. You're just a solid dude. -Cheers!!
I'm considering using this to expand my Hydra soldiers. I have 2 of the two packs and need somewhere to put those extra heads, but I wonder how well the greens match up.
I like your explanation of your grading scale in the end. It makes sense. Maybe you could put a full breakdown of the scale in the video descriptions or as a pinned top comment. 10: Perfect 9: Near Perfect 8: Exceptionally Fantastic 7: Really Good 6: Above Average 5: Average Etc When I first saw your grading, I was shocked by a 5 rating being average because if I got 5/10 in a test, my parents would not be happy! Eventually I understood but having a scale explanation as a pinned comment may help new viewers.
I'm legitimately not sure, but I think it might be even worse of an action figure than Darwin. More paint but Darwin had way better hands and head (if just one) and a tiny belt
First "honest" review I have seen of this fig. Couldn't put my finger on it, but the way you described the heads comes close. I keep trying to like the fig but just can't, and it's mostly the heads.
Hi Dave thanks for all of your reviews man. If I can maybe help with some insight to the scoring mentality. I totally agree with you, from a mathematical standpoint 5 is the literal definition of average on a scale from one to ten. In the US, idk how your schools work in the UK, the grading scale for school is based on percentages. An "easy" grading scale 50% is F 60% is D- 70% is C- and so on. So when an American sees your grading scale and you give it 5/10 most likely due to conditioning most of us see the figure receiving a failing grade. Which lends to the argumentative nature. Most people I come across don't think to heavily on the literal definition of Mathematics, our emotions are tied to the letter we would receive with corresponding percentage. I know its a lengthy comment but I really enjoyed analyzing it even if I'm totally wrong.
John, you make very valid points, and it could explain a lot for North American viewers where 6 /10 or 60% is the passing grade and 5/10 or 50% seems to be pretty low and failing. That being said, Dave, I appreciate and respect your grading scale. What I find amusing though is that your final grades often end up being lower than those of Anthony's Customs, even though he could be severe and you would be rather positive. Different strokes for different folks? ;-)
This figure definitely was intended to be an army builder, it has the same accesorios as the previous ones (hellfire guards two guns, skrulls two guns and extra head, hand ninja two swords?), but Ryan in an interview said that with price increase would be hard to keep getting those one out, hope it will go on sale to actually army build this one
If marvel legends prices don’t go up and they make new versions of the characters on my wish list I complete my collection in half a year of my action figure budget
Your grading is like mine and I believe the right way lol. Standards Standards Standards. Haven't seen Phoenix but I have the rest and I'd say because I got 4 of this Multiple Man and his trenchcoat version I have to give it a 5 just for figure building reasons. Other than that the figure alone is a 4 for me cause again I agree it's just a painted figure. Spiral Mojo and Apocalypse have been the takeaway. Great review!
Hi, Dave! I think you could review anything and I would still find it entertaining. You have a certain je-ne-sais-quoi that I appreciate ;-) So for Multiple Man, grade in your scale seemed fair enough. But what am I thinking? It's your scale so you'd know better than me. For the faces, with the close-ups, the problem might be the dot matrix printing technology or whatever; the tiny dots just seem too many and too visible. He's like super freckled... not that it's necessarily a bad thing. As you mentioned, a third head would sure have been appreciated, especially since we got three in the last X-Factor Multiple Man. Would have been so much better to army build. Not mentioned, but is it possible the gold paintwork is lacking? The lines seem clean but it's as if it doesn't have enough paint on some of the gold. And yeah, beyond the entertainment favor, I find your reviews useful as you usually mention things other reviewers don't necessarily mention or care about.
My favorite Marvel character of all time and bought Giant Size Fantastic Four #4 1975, first appearance of the Multiple Man. I think a dark brown detailed mixed media poseable trenchcoat would have done the figure more justice than the plain look the figure is that'll probably help the figure go up in scale to maybe a 7.5 to 8 scale in my personal opinion. If it had an extra addition piece to go with the figure which would have been cool. Understandably of course they made the figure more comicbook accurate as his first appearance in G.S. F.F. #4 1975 yet simple, they could have added a little more flair to the figure. I do like the hand switch outs with both of his fists touch each other to show his Multiplying powers, just as he looks on the X-Factor #71 1991, first new team cover appearance. Nice review.
Dave, imagine if the Spider-Man animated series Electro figure had a variation that was painted with Multiple Man gold paint instead of the bright yellow. Wouldn't that be cool?!
I always thought your grading was pretty fair, 5/10 should be average but some people think of it like school grading where anything less than a 7/10 is a failure. I appreciate that you're enthusiastic even when a figure is a letdown! That being said, I think reserving 10/10 as unattainable perfection doesn't make sense. By that logic it may as well be a 9/9 scale. I never see the 'perfect' score as literal perfection, but rather that the figure excels by current standards to such an extent that nearly everything else available comes short and you can't think of any reasonable improvements. That's what it means to me anyway, but it ain't my channel!
Multiple Man was probably the only one I was gonna pass on from this wave but after seeing the prices on the X-Men 3 packs, I think i'm also gonna pass on Wolverine
Is anyone going to watch a review of retro Multiple Man ? Nahhh. Not interested in the slightest. I'm here for the entertainment value of this particular UA-cam personality.
Dude u complain way to much, plus awhile ago u said u were gonna stop collecting marvel legends anyway so just stop collecting and trying to be like every other collector. Dude u are waaaayyy wrong dude if u think this figure and all the other ones u complain about are not great. These figs are sooo cool to me.
Dave don’t let the comment section get to you. We love you
Aw thanks brother
Someone in the comments made an Agent Smith joke and now I can’t unsee it.

Keep the honest opinions and ratings. We love the honesty Dave.
I love your grading system!!! A lot of reviewers give high grades for avg figures while you keep it honest with a 5.

I love the "he's ok". The first utterance of it truly captured your feelings.
"Why, Mr. Anderson?...Why?, Why do you persist?"
Oh shoot I knew I’d seen that expression before!

Nobody needs a degree in mathematics or percentages to see that this figure is a huge turd, just another half assed hasbro effort

I agree with your grade, a meh figure, should be blue to match better with the old one. I will wait for the modern one with the jacket.
He looks like Hugo Weaving. ( Mr Smith / Red Skull/ Elrond )
Definitely getting Uncanny Valley vibes .
Mr. Anderson !
The angry faced one .

I preordered 3.

Hey thank you so much. A soft goods trench coat would have absolutely moved this in to a much more elite level of legends!
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour You're welcome. Definitely.
A great review as always, Dave.
Are you considering adding this to your X-Factor/X-Force shelf, or are you just gonna wait for a more 90s design?
He did say he would sell it. For myself, I'll add him to my X-Factor shelf with my lonely X-Factor Multiple Man.
He won't match with the X-Factor collection, he wore that suit in another time, lol, that's why this figure is a big waste.
@@LosMSR You know what? I don't really care, I'll fudge them in. 😀
@@TheQuebecDragon Good for you, but my answer was for cleanup guy, since he asked if this figure will work on X-Factor shelf.
Hi! what animated series did you show for multiple man????
I think that was from Wolverine and the X-Men.
Dave, imagine if the Spider-Man animated series Electro figure had a variation that was painted with Multiple Man gold paint instead of the bright yellow. Wouldn't that be cool?!
I agree with you Dave, those faces are just plain creepy. Hoping for a rerelease of the trench coat version with updated articulation.
Yeah, it would be great to have the chance to finish X factor

Hey! Thanks for showing this some love! I
Did you Want Him in the Mcu
Beacuse It Will Be Cool to see him in the Mcu
The neutral headsculpt looks like a character from Jojolion
I dare you to think of one figure you would give a ten out of ten
Is anyone going to watch a review of retro Multiple Man ? Nahhh. Not interested in the slightest. I'm here for the entertainment value of this particular UA-cam personality.
Aw thanks brother. That’s what I do!
I think this figure is below average(my average is a 5/10), so he’s like a 3.5 or a 4.
Wtf happend to Foxy?????!!?!?!?!
Have you ever seen a 9?
Mezco Atticus Doom and Wolverine, Storm Axel Stone and RYV Spider-Msn are all in that area.
I would never pay for this figure or even want it for free. It’s a way below average marvel legend
🚨STOP RIGHT THERE!! 🚨 have you all hit the like button?? 😉
they are still using pinned arms and legs, 3/10
and that terrible waist swivel
I think somebody's pretending to be you as they say I have won a ps5 give away just thought I would tell you
Where were you told this?
