I believe Nick’s mom is secretly the ponytail killer as The murders stopped at around the second or third season and in the sixth season we see that Nick’s mom behavior is drastically different to her son whom she loved as a baby and out of character for a loving mother. It would seem like there would be a secret urge for her to continue what she left off. That be a interesting and compelling twist for the series.
