honestly i am so mesmerised by your superpower and already i’ve done so much research of my own, thank you for educating me even more :) you’re such a good voice for your community and we’re all so proud
You’re amazing Tasha, you should be so proud of yourself for spreading awareness and telling people about your superpower, thank for you sharing your story you’re an angel 💕💕
you are an absolute star, and all my best wishes for you and andrew, as you both set off on a wonderful adventure, as one of the most prefect couples i have seen in many a year, thank goodness you made it back together on the show, i could not understand why all heads turned with the so called bombshells that came in, as the only bombshell was the very very handsome andrew who looked a natural looking boy with no phoney looking teeth etc, but to my delight you realised what you had was right in front of you. You are a very brave lassie, and you fought hard to get where you are now, and it is all well deserved.❤
You're an inspiration to others with a superpower and you've educated us that don't! I've been teaching myself ASL for a few months now, but since you mentioned your cochlear implant on the show I've started to research cochlear implants and watch videos about how they work and what they sound like, so thank you for educating us! Sending love from Miami
Tasha I had no idea how serious this is for you and all of the other members of the deaf community and I feel so informed and I think you are so amazing and I respect you for opening up and being so confident you are gorgeous inside and out
my story is so similar to hers, i wear hearing aids, she wears cochlear implant. my mum found out i was deaf at 2 half years old (maybe younger, thats when i got 2 hearing aids) i grew up doing speech therapy & sign language. went to public schools. only deaf person in my family too! thank you for showing your superpower on national tv... everyone really needs to learn more about deafness & that we are also normal people! love you tasha! xoxo
Loved this video Tasha! I have a cochlear implant on my left ear, I was implanted at 1yo in September 2000. I was (then) the first youngest British child to undergo the surgery. I can resonate with your feelings. Being deaf is a challenge, but I felt good knowing your time in Love Island educated everyone on deafness. Proud to be profoundly deaf 🦻🏼x
this is so eye opening. i love that you embrace it and call it your superpower! thank you for sharing your story. you’re are so amazing and talented. i love you, tasha!!! ❤️
Honestly Tasha, that was amazing and so informative, I can now understand why Andrew says you are his inspiration and how he fell for you like he did, keep being you and ignore any negative comments x
Love how ur using the platform you have been given to spread awareness and embrace anything that may make an individual different - this is inspiring ❤️
I’m so grateful you went into such detail about it cause I genuinely find it fascinating and it’s a hard thing to understand auditory perceptions that are different from someone who was born hearing without someone with hearing loss explaining it. If you ever do another Q&A I’d be so interested to know how it’s impacted your dating life pre-love island… maybe I’m wrong but I imagine it’s not something everyone is so embracing of
From someone who went undiagnosed with single-sided deafness until I was 17 & now living with hearing loss, I cannot thank you enough for speaking so candidly about this & raising awareness. When I first got my hearing aid, I would always make sure it was covered by leaving my hair down but not anymore. Glad to say I now wear my hearing aid with pride so I can show off my superpower🦻♥
literally love her so much, she’s so beautiful and I’m glad she’s using her platform to share her life story and she’s just so incredibly brave. I love you tash 💗💗💗
Come to think of it, the one thing I would reproach Love Island for is not getting much of ur experiences of being deaf being shown on TV, since it's really important for ppl to know this. It's a superpower indeed, and I wish they gave us more of that, rather than a lottodo with Gemma's Dad and all.
Thank you tasha...my granddaughter who nearly 3 has had implants for about 5 months now...and I worry about her future! As she has a hard time accepting them at the moment! But listening to you has made me understand a few things...and know now she will be okay! It's just gonna be a long road that never stops...but she is just amazing just like you xx
I am an ENT nurse in the US. I was such a fan of you on the show but an even bigger fan now. This video is amazing. You’re so intelligent and inspiring, Tasha! Thank you for spreading awareness about this.
Thank you for this inspiring story. Sometimes it's easy to complain of the things we don't have and hearing your story should remind us to appreciate that there are others who are going through so much but still continues to be grateful and live with contentment regardless. Sending you all the love Tasha❤️❤️❤️
I can only imagine how hard it must have been when you was younger , I’m so happy you embrace it now and make others in the deaf community feel heard and seen , you’re a great role model ❤️
Tash, you're an angellll 🫶🏼 such an inspiration to me and so many others worldwide! Your comments and support to your fans means the absolute world and when I see you've commented on my post or even liked or saw my story I freak out with happiness!!! We love you so much tash! Youre an inspiration to us all gal, in so many ways🫶🏼
How amazing you are for being so open and honest about all you’ve been through - a real role model for younger people who may be going through the same. A real love island positive contestant! Well done Tasha x
I’m in awe of you. You are so beautiful and amazing person and should be so proud of yourself for spreading awareness about your superpower. So much love and respect for you ❤️❤️
You and your superpower is amazing and honestly inspiring. I couldn't imagine how hard it was for you growing up and even now. You have taught me a lot just in this 1 video. Keep being you because i know its not just me thats learned so much from you, you have a whole community coming on here who will support you and listen to what you have to say. Your really special and have the most amazing personality everrrr! Love you so much
I’m level 3 British Sign Language, hearing. It is so amazing to see deaf people showing everything they can do anything no matter what. I am a wheelchair user myself. It is really nice for me to see diversity on tv, regarding disability. So thank you. Thank you for being open and we should be proud of our superpowers 🤍🤍
You were and still are my favourite love islander. I’m a nurse, I work on a stroke unit so don’t have much experience in cochlear implants so this was super helpful for me to understand, thank you so much. You’re incredible 💖💖
You’re such an inspiration Tasha. From a person who is fully hearing, and not from the deaf community myself, I fully commend you for explaining your superpower&i listened to every word!🥰 you are amazing and never let your cochlea define you🤍🫶
Tasha, you are a superwoman inside and out ❤️ You was my favourite islander from day 1, not just because of your ‘superpower’ but because how genuine and normal you are. I love this video you explained your ‘Superpower’ in great detail, you are a true ambassador to the deaf community, listening to your story was very emotional to hear and watch, but it proves what a strong, beautiful woman you are and how it doesn’t define you!!. I changed from wearing a normal hearing aid 🦻 in my twenties/thirties (which wasn’t working for me) to a BAHA (bone anchored hearing aid) back in 2018 and it’s changed my life massively 🙌🏼 wishing you Andrew all the best for your future together and you personally a very success and happy life, keep being YOU never change 💞xx
Tasha, you have truly inspired my hearing impaired daughter, Lucy. She too is a beautiful girl but lacked confidence. However, recently, since seeing you on LI her confidence has grown so much. Thank you for everything you do for the deaf community. We as a family all love you. Be happy. Mary xxx
Tasha I love you so much I think its so strong of you to open up about your super power on TV and representing the deaf community to show it doesnt define you and to be proud of it Andrew is so sweet with you and you deserve it fav islander ever ❤
I thought you were incredible when I saw you on love island, the confidence you have and how you don’t let your superpower stand in your way. The technology of the cochlear implant is mind blowing! So glad it has helped you so much in your life. I’m going through a few health struggles, and you are definitely inspirational for me. Keep staying true to yourself ❤️
I love to see this content from you. As a disabled woman I find this all very relatable and I was quite emotional watching and hearing your story. You are amazing and rock your superpower xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This was so insightful! I'm a hard of hearing gal and I do struggle with everyday life, but no one gives me more confidence to embrace it than you Tasha! Love you so much💓
I’m so happy to see someone like me on television, showing a CI is not a fixing implant, it’s not only about hearing, it’s a part of who you are.. Thank you Tasha for standing up and out and be a rolemodel for young girls and boys and showing them they are unique, special and so worth to grow up and follow their dreams! ❤️
i am so beyond proud of where you've come and who've you've become. you are honestly so inspiring and such an amazing role model towards people that relate with you, and towards people that want to learn more about your journey. thank you so much for sharing this, lots of love
Tasha, thank you so much for informing us!! I started to continue learning sign language after hearing your story on the show. You were my favorite islander, and I really enjoyed watching you. You’re absolutely beautiful, genuine, and so sweet. Ilysm Tasha!!😚💘
you are so incredible, tasha!!! thank you for sharing your story with us. you are so inspiring. you were my absolute favorite this season and i wish you nothing but the best from here on out!!!!❤️
You are one of the strongest people I have seen! You truly are an inspiration to the deaf community. Even though i’m not deaf I have so so much respect for you and I totally love your super power! You were absolutely amazing on Love island and they should feel so lucky to have you on that show! Just keep on shining because you will continuously be spreading your wings! 💖💖💖💖💖💖
Girl I gotta give it to you, this was SUCH an interesting video to watch. I’m genuinely fascinated by how cool your implant works. You are so brave and beautiful for speaking on it too. Lots of love x
Dear Tasha, I watched all of you on Love Island and you were all lovely and you and Andrew did very well. But my God, this video was so enlightening and inspirational and so feel good, it was great to see this other aspect of you and your life. Well done for being so honest and vulnerable in speaking about your challenges growing up....you will inspire so many young girls. You deserve the very best, onwards and upwards and may you and Andrew enjoy life after Love Island. Go girl....you are superwoman with many superpowers. Many hugs to you
I used to work with 2 little boys (alongside a BSL interpreter) who were deaf, one was completely deaf & came from a deaf family and didn't want to wear hearing aids (he found them uncomfortable and preferred using just BSL) the other little boy came from a hearing family and had a cochlear implant but could only hear deep or very high pitched sounds. he couldn't make our voices or anything the way i saw them communicate and adapt to their surroundings and people talking to them was so incredible and the more i learned the more amazing i found it, because of everything they did. it did inspire me to start learning BSL. i think it's amazing you're so open and honest about it, and teaching hearing people about the experience of being deaf and what stuff you go through! your work and inspiration and education about it had been amazing- i'm sure you've made the deaf community very proud!
The way you made us all aware of your superpower was beautiful. And that’s what we all will call it when we see it or experience it & that’s beautiful. A true role model. Thank you for sharing x
You are absolutely incredible! I love how you’ve reframed what most people would call a “disability” and called it a superpower, because it really is. You’re so inspirational and it really just goes to show how strong you are as a person. ♥️ I know you talked about how sound is different for you, and I think it would be REALLY cool (if possible) if you could make a video talking/showing more about how YOU hear sound/voices. Like try and imitate how different sounds sound to you. I can’t imagine meeting someone new and having to train myself to understand them, the only possible similarity I could have is if I met someone with a really strong (maybe Russian or Irish?) accent and couldn’t understand them at first. You did everyone proud on Love Island, and have continued to do so! You’re such an amazing person and such a superhero ♥️
Tash I’m so glad that you have the confidence to talk about your superpower. You are so brave and has inspired so many young children out there who has to wear cochlear implants. You were my favourite islander from day 1 and you and Andrew are perfect for each other. I now understand why Andrew felt the way he does for you because you actully deserve someone like Andrew. Keep being you. Love you tash xxx ♾💗
What an inspiring video - well done for doing this. You were always my favourite in the Villa and you have reinforced that since leaving. You have elegance, intelligence, passion and great empathy. What a fantastic role model for young people today! Well done!
I’m so grateful for you to bring awareness to the rest of the world about how the cochlear implant works and how it was growing up. I am so happy that you’ve gained the strength to get the word out there and to even accept you for exactly who you are. So many people struggle with this for one reason or another and it’s a powerful message. I love that you are using your fame to educate and represent, keep up the good work!
Superpower for a superwoman.. U are such an amazing role model an inspiration, ur positivity about ur super power is outstanding and you will help so many struggling. Role model queen, u deserve all the happiness in the world and know I hope u can see why u have this superpower... Everything happens for a reason and u have a platform now to educate, support, help and fly the flag. Best of luck to you and Andrew such a beautiful couple, u are really like a real life princess with ur Prince charming x
What a lovely girl you are and such an inspiration to not only the deaf community but to all young people, I watched you on love island (im 70 lol) and was rooting for you from day one before you revealed your super power. Stay just as you are , your a beautiful girl inside and out . Good luck to both you and Andrew 😊
You’re such a strong woman! You articulated the challenges of growing up with a hearing impairment really well and I’m sure you’ll empower a generation of little boys and girls in a similar situation to you! Really interesting to hear how it works and your experience of having to learn to hear again and how it’s so different listening with a cochlear implants. Stay strong girl, you’re amazing 🫶🫶🫶🫶
You are so inspiring Tasha, I love everything about you! You are so kind, smart, funny and amazing for teaching everyone about your superpower. Keep it up girl we're all rooting for you
You are so beautiful and ur super power makes u so unique ur such a strong person for doing this and I’m so proud of u and I want u to know we love u so much💗💗💗
My mum is an audiologist and I grew up with deaf friends, I am so happy that they have you to look to and relate to. Thank you for sharing your story and giving us all a bit more insight. Wish you all the best for your future xx
I never comment but I just think you're so special and that it's great that you are speaking on this. I genuinely am amazed at how you handled yourself on international television
Never realized how eloquent you are! the fact that you don't use filler words like "um" or "like" is insane - it's pretty hard to do so massive respect
I love that you use the word superpower instead of disability. I’ve started using it too! I have an autoimmune disease which is very different but I do face daily challenges and ableism. You’re such an inspiration. Thank you!
As someone who has struggled w CAPD since birth, seeing you shine on screen gave me so much hope. I loved learning more about this and I hope we begin to have more deaf/HoH representation on screen! Love u Tasha 💗
Love this video! Your journey is so inspiring. Well done for raising awareness and good luck with all your future plans, Tasha. I have a disability - very different to yours - so it makes me so proud watching someone passionately wanting to help and educate others about these things
You should be proud of how much you are doing for the deaf community! Sometimes we take for the granted the little things in life but this is so inspiring! Keep doing what you're doing, your superpower is amazing!
I love that you are using your platform to educate people ❤️❤️ I hope that with your influence things can change for the deaf community. I hope and pray one day that sign language is taught in schools so no one is ever cut off from communicating with people ever again. You seem beautiful inside and out Tasha. All the best for the future ❤️❤️❤️❤️ you should be so proud of yourself. Ps you and Andrew were my winners
Tasha this is so brave I would usually say that I feel bad for you but I now see that you are one of the bravest people ever and I'm so proud of you continue to inspire others❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Tasha, you are amazinggg. You inspire me and others to follow our dreams no matter what disabilities we have. Thank you so much. Keep being you. Beautiful and humble. Sending love from New York.
Ive never known how an implant worked until this video. This was super informative and very entertaining. Absolutely loved you on love island and will be watching your UA-cam :)
Hey Tasha. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in Sept. of 2021. Our situations are different but you have made me feel more confident about my daily struggles. Like you said how alot of people think the cochlear implant is a quick fix, most people are uneducated on diabetes and think all you have to do is just not eat sugar and thats not true at all so i relate to that. thank you for sharing. love from USA
I am honestly in awe of you. My daughter was born profoundly Deaf, which lead me to BSL I went on to communicate for deaf children in a mainstream school I did all of my exams ending up with BSL NVQ L 6, and I worked with children for 23 years. My daughter is now 39 and has her own family. I will send a link to the school for our pupils to watch and I will also show my new work place your video. I followed your journey in love island and since found you on UA-cam and will continue to support you in anything you do. Tracey x
I was also born profoundly deaf from birth I don’t know exactly how you feel because I am a guy but I know how hard it is to communicate in social environments. I never watched love island but my sister told me that there was a deaf person on the show and I decided to watch it and I was amazed at how you revealed your superpower and it gave me confidence to be a more loud and confident person. So thank you for changing my life forever and giving me the confidence to be a better person and not care what other people think of our superpower ❤️❤️
Thank you for making this video! For someone who doesn’t really read and inform themselves about these subjects it’s really helpful and informative. I have never met someone with this superpower but hopefully if I do someday I can make them feel as comfortable as possible
this was so interesting to see how it works and know more about your experience. You are such a positive role model for people accepting themselves for who we are.
Proud of you for using your platform to share your story and show everyone that it’s a superpower not something to hold you back ❤️❤️

You are absolutely incredible! I love how you’ve reframed what most people would call a “disability” and called it a superpower, because it really is. You’re so inspirational and it really just goes to show how strong you are as a person. ♥️
I know you talked about how sound is different for you, and I think it would be REALLY cool (if possible) if you could make a video talking/showing more about how YOU hear sound/voices.
I’m partially sighted and you being on Love Island and being so open and honest and been so comforting so thank you!!!!!
Love you Tasha! Keep sharing and being proud of yourself and journey! You deserve all the happy things coming your way 😊😊
You have a great Superpower. Share your power . Great example for all.

My mum is an audiologist and I grew up with deaf friends, I am so happy that they have you to look to and relate to. Thank you for sharing your story and giving us all a bit more insight. Wish you all the best for your future xx
Supporting you all the way in telling your story !! Young people need this from you, great role model. Go Tasha
Thank you!
Thanks for being such an inspiration to so many young people and helping people be aware of your super power . Love you Tash!!!!
I agree x
As someone who has struggled w CAPD since birth, seeing you shine on screen gave me so much hope. I loved learning more about this and I hope we begin to have more deaf/HoH representation on screen! Love u Tasha 💗
Fantastic job Well done loved the little story about taking it out when you were small and arguing with your parents 🤣
hi Tasha, I'm 26 and I'm a speech therapist, this was super interesting! Thank you for spreading awareness
Think this is a video I needed to see. So empowering and makes me grateful for the little things. Also love the necklace!
You’re amazing Tasha, so inspirational, I do have my superpower myself and what I like the most is like what you’ve said about sleeping
You are an incredible beautiful young woman. What a changing experience!

You explained crystal clear. Wow yiu handled yourself so well x
Am so proud of your strength Tasha, you are so unique. Love from Africa 🤗
Wowww this is so interesting especially when you showed it and explained how it worked you're amazing Tasha
Tracey x
Thank you for taking the time to explain and share with us. I really appreciate it (and you)!
So inspiring. Not all disability’s are visible , sending love ❤️❤️❤️❤️ xx
