I've done nearly 5k miles in a 40TDI and so far I've averaged just under 50mpg. It will happily get over 55 on longer journeys. It's really surprised me that I can get so close to the economy I used to get out of my 1.9TDI Golf. Amazing for something so much bigger.
Wanted an sq5 plus but couldn’t find one in the spec I wanted so I got a 2017 350glc amg it’s got 37000 on the clock, oh what a mistake I made in getting that one, the drivers seat is delaminated that’s one fault, I found out the seats are actually made from vinyl not leather😱😱, it rattles a fair bit too, I had a 2008 a6 and sold it with 190000 miles that car didn’t make a single sound as in loose trim etc, I don’t believe from experience that Mercedes’ are built to last, the only thing they have got going for them is the looks, I got an appraisal on the merc and from buying it in November last year to now the value has gone down just over £9000 that is disregarding the seat issue which apparently is a common fault but not a recall shocking so much for second hand car prices being sky high, ( I do look after my cars)
@@SharuSRG it was a 2.0 TDi. We got rid of it. Terrible car. Replaced it with a Qashqai. Much better at 45mpg. I bought an Audi A3 35 tdi and I get 47mpg in that.
@@TenPester really? Mines a manual and I love it, other than the fact it’s fwd and wheelspins everywhere I go. But also as it’s my first car I’ve not had much experience in other cars either. Quite surprised you prefer the qashqai over the Tiguan, most people in our Facebook forum tend to switch from Qashqai to Tiguan not vice versa. But truth be told Tiguan does have a few problems hence why I’m trying to get rid of it for the Q5
@@SharuSRG it was my wife’s car. She hated it compared to the Qashqai. I didn’t mind the Tiguan and was the first SUV I drove apart from the Qashqai. I did buy a Jaguar F-Pace from Cazoo. Loved it but the turbo went after 4 days so it got sent back. Q5 S-Lines we’re too expensive for the specs compared to others at the time. Same with the Tiguan now. Too expensive.

The BMW X3 is nowhere near as good as the Q5,trust me,I’ve had both..
Can you elaborate?

Q5 shares platform with the Macan, not the Cayenne
This is based on the A4 and A5 not the A6.
Nice solid car. Agree the interior is the selling point.
My dad has ordered the Audi q5 tfsi e quattro 50. With 300ps
Q5 is based on A4 platform, not A6
god bless, A6 is extremely expensive.
Definitywny agreed!
I'm in a Tiguan 2018 R-Line 4motion, and the average MPG is 30, which is hilarious. My Golf R is 30 mpg.
Is yours a diesel or petrol? I’ve got a 150hp 2.0tdi FWD and I average 45-55mpg on pretty much all journeys short or long

You drive your Golf like a granny.
Lardy suv ? Is that what you want to drive ?
Yes we can fault it....in high maintenance and low reliability...🤑
Oh so you’re saying it’s the same as a wife...got it.
