This was the sound of misery when I was a child! My school had these alarms, or a similar model, set to continuous. And I hated them! But I do enjoy hearing them on UA-cam, when I know to expect it and can control my laptop's volume. :)
me too my first elementary school had one in the classroom and they would activate almost every day also there was the simplex 4903_9236 alarms and the true alert alarms now the first two were set to continuous and the true alerts were set to code 3
TV4586 While I cant name every panel that has filtered dc, pretty much all simplex panels, Notifier panels, larger silent knight panels, and some fire lite panels output filtered dc. As for the MS-4, no it outputs FWR
Thanks. I planned to get a MS-4, but I’m not a big fan of FWR due to the way how it affects some alarms (Spectralert Classic, mechanical horns, 90s Simplex alarms, etc.). What panels would you recommend that has filtered DC and would fit for a person that has never owned a FACP before? Sorry if I’m asking too much.
My old school from many years back had both of the horns featured in this videos plus a Wheelock AS and TrueAlerts. (the wheelock AS and the truealerts were added as replacements and one truealert was even retrofitted on a strobe plate.
Hi! i am new here and I would like to know how those alarms would sound like on continuous. Edit: We had those alarms with the strobe plates at our elementary school here in Green Bay, WI. If you went to that school, you would see those around every corner or 20 feet apart.
Simplex is $$$$$$. My favorite brand name of low voltage fire equipment is Pyrotronics. I just love the name, never actually installed any of their equipment.
Sirens like this are cool, but need to be quieter. We had similar sirens in our school. Some of them were at ear height, and some were in the bathrooms at ear height right next to people at full volume. We had people who almost went deaf, and I got actual PTSD over these alarms.
At our school the alarms are interesting. The panel is a giant new simplex system and all of the pulls are simplex but in the new wing there are the the new simplex but some are bells and the alarms in this video and during drills it’s continuous

ME TOO! They thankfully upgraded everything around 4th grade to a newer model set to strobe like this one is.
@@chrischansfantabottlecolle4368 bruh the true alaerts are loud

Awesome system test! Hope you had a great time camping Glad you are back
this is the sound i've been searching for for months. nice!
Dude, get yourself a booster panel so you can have filtered DC. Trust me, it’ll be worth it in the long run
Question: Do some panels have filtered DC? If so, what are they.
And can the MS4 run on filtered DC?

TV4586 Hmm, probably a simplex 4004, but they can be really pricy on eBay. Another good option is the fire lite ms10-ud
Final question: does the MS-5 use FWR?
My old school from many years back had both of the horns featured in this videos plus a Wheelock AS and TrueAlerts. (the wheelock AS and the truealerts were added as replacements and one truealert was even retrofitted on a strobe plate.
I absolutely love your videos, the Simplex 9846 sounded just as tough as the 9219. Awesome video 😎
It's a 9838. the 9846 does not have a black horn.
@@burnoutteamclubbtcp7283 sorry my mistake, the two horns do have nearly identical mechanisms though.
this takes me back to high school, but it was all continuious.
The T bar is next on my list of pulls to get
that alarm was at my kindergarten school, they had dual acation siga pulls,a EST geniuses set to code 3,and those horn strobes stet to march time
Love the sound of those horns! Nice video!
Hah! That was the one i remember. The speaker with the strobe. I HATED THAT THING. But they never had it pulse. It was always a continuous tone.
, system test was good I'm glad you used simplex
That sounds like the fire alarms my old elemtary school hard but now in my middle school they have different ones that is lounder but it’s still cool
90s alarms my favorite
Nice! I see the different exit sign!
Yes finally a simplex system! I have a 4007es panel and it's a great panel but the price is 2500 luckily I got it for free.
Great video!!
Omg my school uses those exact pull stations and mechanical alarm strobes!
WOW I hoped you had a great trip!!! :)
I have these fire alarms in my middle school Library
Please don't do that again that panel puts out FWR. I feel bad for that 9838 and that 4903-9101
Or unplug the panel and make it run off of the batteries
Lol i like them on fwr itsbthe strobes that you have to worry about
love you bunches ser safety

S.E.R. safety why did you have to replace the exit sign combo
Maybe he put a different sign he has up
Awesome most of simplex
1:33 pulls fire alarm
Number 1 fan!!
That's super epic👍😊
If you have subtitles on, it says [Music]
Cam RW it thinks his voice is music or the alarms thats cool
Cam RW I don’t have subtitles
[Laughter]
Lol
Would 7002t’s be possible for the next test?
Simplex is $$$$$$. My favorite brand name of low voltage fire equipment is Pyrotronics. I just love the name, never actually installed any of their equipment.
ItsJustinTime Agreed, reminds me of Nutone. Expensive as hell for technology from 1980
I actually have that simplex T-Bar in my school.
My old school had these but they were replaced by Honeywell
cool its on code 3 horn but I think some modern current truealert does that too sometimes.
my school has 2901-9838s and 2901-9845s but is getting upgraded with advanced and L series and BG 12 from the 4251-20
Amazing 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
CODE 3 + LOW FREQUENCY HORNS = YEET
I’m pretty sure the 2901-9845 is a flush mount version of 9838
Those were in my old school simplex light playe with 2901 9845
Could you please do a test with these alarms again but on continuous
🤙same
can you do this test again on a system with filtered DC
Do A Wheellock test next time
What wheelock test should he do? (Instead of the ZNS and NS series)
@@LF5xu the wheel lock that looks kind of like the simplex
2:40
isn't the panel the kidde rebrand of the est fire shield
Hope you were wearing ear protection. 😬
that’s the pull station at my school
Can you do it in March Time pls
That’s the fire alarm in my old school

Its actually actually pronounced “kid-eh” ;D
FireAlarmDude5967 No it’s actually not.
@@shaynewaite5329 its actually pronounced Kid-da.
Shayne Waite Yes it is. Call Kidde and ask them
FireAlarmDude5967 I install their smoke detectors in my family members homes.
Shayne Waite And....
Ok I had headphones in and the thunder and lighting legit scared me
Our local Kia dealership has a T bar
next video: if you still have it can you use your old quickalert?
all fire.alrms
40 that video is so cool
its not all simpex what about the pannel
Cool. I have the 2901-9838 to.

Looks like the faraday horn noise
0:44 We have those fire alarms in my school but its upside down
Me too
I Dropped My Simplex Pull Station
Smoke alarms are my enemy!
I have a 9838 and a 4251-20
FWR sounds very raspy.
Buy yourself a decibel meter
Except that my school has a continuous bzzzzzzzzz
This soudnds like the fire alarm orchstra.
That’s the worst way of mounting it possible. Though you would’ve known better.
dude, you aways say bed stuff about what ever you can, go away ( he even said it was the only way possible for the unction box he used
P Harrell yep
EVG STORE fuck you
