I never saw the cartoon, but I found the entire collection on clearance at KB! I may still have them in storage. It’s obviously 90s Kenner/Hasbro when you see how the figures had big muscles and were sculpted into action poses-pretty much MASK getting the PoTF2 treatment! 😂
Those Carded Vortech figures look great, along with your collection. I still haven't seen the full TV series. Cool similarities to classic M.A.S.K. Thanks Mike!
fini: Okay, my 90s experience with this line: I never saw the cartoon, so i made this MASK 2, or MASK TNG, where Scott Tracker was the leader of the team now and this is his next generation team. The organic parts were from Alien technology acquired by the new VENOM, and the leader of VENOM was masked at all time to conceal the fact that he was a hybrid himself, of alien DNA and human DNA (kinda like Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors)
Oh yeah that's way better. Also if this were true it would give mask more of a presence in my 80s hasbro cartoon theory in which transformers seasons 1 and 2 all of gi joe arah jem and the holograms inhumanoids and mask takes place in the 80s while transformers the movie season 3 and season 4,gi joe extreme and cops and crooks take place in the 2000s where thanks to help from the autobots, humanity's technology advanced much much faster leading to a utopia. Mask tng would have fit neatly in that 2000s era
@Scotty-Z70 I think we would have gotten along together playing with toys, I loved making up my own extended universes. Like, when V was on TV, my Millennium Falcon doubled as a Visitor ship and my Klattu figures doubled as Visitors 😅😅😅
@@arctrooper999 oh wow! I used a Dazzle doll as Diana of V and Bossk was a V dude. Dazzle dolls are 4” dolls that worked for GI joes also in my universe and one was also Dazzler
I think I remember that the Sonic Stinger was the leader’s vehicle. And if I remember the show correctly I think that there was a time limit on how long that the heroes could use their vehicles or it would mess with their minds or something like that.
I remember wanting to watch the cartoon after seeing it advertised as part of the “Power Block” of shows but for whatever reason it was the only one not syndicated in my area. I did get some of the toys though.
The Mask Firefly was one of my faves, along with the white van that popped open to reveal a red jet. Hasbro bought Kenner in 1991, i wonder why they didnt just have Kenner do a new Mask series.
MASK was a blatant take off and hybrid of Hasbro's GI Joe and Transformers lines and sunbow toons. Hasbro bought Kenner in the 90's, so it could've been a Kenner attempt to bring MASK back before Hasbro acquisition that got released under a Hasbro label.
😎 I never heard of this toy line before or Never seen the cartoon before. When I was younger, I probably would have passed on it if I saw it in Toys R Us or any toy store. I think M.A.S.K. toys look better in my opinion! 🛻

Yep this is like the POTF2 Star Wars in many ways

I am not sure if there are more than 2 episodes that surfaces but I probably would not watch then entire series anyway

That would be a better story line than the actual show

where did you see it? i have only found one episode on YT. I didn't bother to watch it @@tydiriumhanger1320

Vor-Tech: When i found these back in the 90s, i KNEW they were MASK TNG...i never saw the cartoon.
I remember seeing these in Kaybee and wondering if the show failed that bad

I never saw the show either until youtube uploads

They should have rebooted or continued MASK and that would have been awesome
The way the red car transforms is more like Manta than Thunderhawk
True it is more like the Manta
Intersting the first car you showed reminds me of Manta from the original set
It does have some similarities to Manta
Triggered a memory. I wonder what other vehicles can get the M.A.S.K. treatment.
i always thought Road Heat was the evolution of Vampire
Very well could be but went about it in a different way
That thing on the truck isn't a seat. It's a flip-down gun. You're just missing the gun part. It's visible on the box.
Thanks for pointing that out! I found the gun and it fits perfect AWESOME
Is this cartoon streaming or in UA-cam Mike? I remember watching just a few episodes on it's original run back in the 99s!💡😀👍
You can find 2 episodes here on UA-cam
Cool vid as always
Thanks and these are lot of fun
Never heard of these.
They seemed to only be on the shelves for a short time in 1996
First time seeing them.. looks alot like mask.. would be funny if the music was, vo vo vo vortex 😅
That would be better than the actual whimper they use in the Vortech intro
Never even heard of em
Hmm. Never knew about the cartoon but the toys are okay.
Yep I even considered buying these in 1996 but never saw the show on TV either

It is funny that I never put that together until a friend of mine who did not collect MASK made that observation
In 2008, Hasbro released the Matt Tracker figure as a G.I. Joe figure.
Another toy line that I am not familiar to. This line may have copied M.A.S.K. but it is cool nonetheless.
Yep these are fun to mess with and Transforming cars never get old. I need to look into A.T.O.M.
Yeah the jet /tank did copy from mask, they just did another version of ace. His jet turned into a tank
I was thinking Meteor but since it did not split I felt it was a stretch but it seems more and more likely now
Kenner made these too. So did they really copy as such?
Hasbro bought Kenner and kept using that brand on many lines although it really was hasbro
@@tydiriumhanger1320 I know they did, but had a look and didn't realise they bought them in 1991. Sorry.

Yep Mask is definitely better but the rocking cartoon also sold us! The Stinger is a cool vehicle though
@tydiriumhanger1320 The mask intro song, I can't get it out of my head sometimes it's AWESOME . 👍
