Cole L. driving on the highway, the road noise is louder than the exhaust, so I wouldn't consider that drone. The cabin noise was a little loud for my taste until I installed some sound deadening in the trunk (it's a $30 fix to plug the holes in the rear deck and add some dynamat to the bare metal).
Hey man what model is this for cause I have a 2016 A3 1.8T. Will this fit on my car? I'm really new to trying mods out on my own. I live in Cali and would definitely love the sound of this on the highway. I would appreciate all the help!
Michael MacLean without the downpipe, it was not much louder when driving around normally. Once you got higher up in the rev range, it was much improved over the stock exhaust. Honestly a catback isn't really worth it on this platform (performance wise). The downpipe is where the power comes from, and should sound decent even with the stock catback. If you have extra money though...
Hi, the Eurodyne tune is great! I've been using it from stage 1.5 up to stage 2 now. No misfires or codes of any sort. Stage 2 will handle (hide) any downpipe related CELs related to the O2 sensor. I'm in Cali so have only used the 91oct tune. I wouldn't recommend the high torque file unless you have the DSG tune as well (I don't) since it's really, really aggressive (but super fun). Overall, it's the best 600 bucks I've spent on this car for sure.
Since I made this video, I've upgraded my turbo to an IS38 and gone with an even more aggressive tune. I installed a lot of sound dampening in the trunk and back liner, which takes care of most of the noise leaking into the cabin. It's pretty OK during regular driving. If I had to do it again, I'd go with the resonated exhaust just to quiet it down a little.
Hey Daniel, unfortunately I did the process years ago and kind of forgot all the details. But basically, if you watch any videos on sound dampening a trunk (like for a subwoofer install), it's the same process. Stick that Dynamat to the rear deck lid, stuff the holes with foam insulation, lift up the trunk floor cover and line the spare well with the insulating material as well. You don't even need to buy the real Dynamat, the cheaper imitation stuff will work fine too.
I have the usp catted downpipe and the a3 milltek non res catback waiting to install, how did the two join up for you? Any modification or did they match up?
Since I got my Milltek catback installed when I was on the stock DP, they used the 2.5" adapter. I think the USP downpipe came with some different adapters which allowed it to connect to the Milltek without issue. If you ordered your catback with the adapter for a 3" downpipe, it shouldn't need anything else.
Andrew Xie Yep I've got the adapter, did you notice/hear of any fitment issues with the dp when it was installed? Thanks for the reply, helps me get my install planned correctly.
BSfunk44 I had it professionally installed at a local shop and they didn't run into any issues. If you're doing it yourself, I think you just need to take your time and it shouldn't be a problem.
nathi jackson a cat back exhaust will not affect warranty, but if you go for a downpipe, you will run in to troubles. If you tune, consider your warranty void.
I think most local shops can install an exhaust for you. There are lots of sites selling the Milltek exhaust for A3 online. Just find the best price and get it shipped to you to install locally. I got mine at Griffin Motorwerke, who are the official distributor of Milltek in the US, but that's only cause I live nearby.
Hey I'm not too sure since I never tried measuring. I've since upgraded to an IS38 turbo, which should be able to do 100-200 in about 10.7s (according to various tuners). I'd imagine a stage 2 A3 on the stock IS20 turbo would be low to mid 11s. The IS20 loses a lot of steam once you get higher into the RPMs and MPHs.
Hi Joao, this is the 2.0 TSFI Quattro model for the US. I only have the GoPro aimed at the left pair of exhaust, but it is quad exhaust, 2 pairs on both sides.
This is the setup I plan on running on my A3, sounds great man.
That some nice sound I’m thinking to install one on my audi 😈
sounds amazing, i need to do this to mine asap
Brian Wasdorp yeah man, you won't regret it
Bonjour, combien sa coute de faire ça au total? Est-ce homologué ? Il y a t’il encore le silencieux sur la ligne miltek ?
when cruising, do u have alot of cabin noise? also does it drone at all in the freeway?

brianblackwood07 this is for the 2.0 Quattro. I'm sure there are turbo back systems for the 1.8 as well but it may sound different.
How does it sound with just the cat back no down pipe

How has the stg 2 ed tune been as far as check engine lights and misfires etc?

Andrew Xie Awesome feedback, thanks a lot
Hey there, is it loud when you drive slowly or in efficiency mode?
Since I made this video, I've upgraded my turbo to an IS38 and gone with an even more aggressive tune. I installed a lot of sound dampening in the trunk and back liner, which takes care of most of the noise leaking into the cabin. It's pretty OK during regular driving. @@bigxie can you make a video on the sound dampening? i would love to see your input

I would also like to buy the exhaust for my Audi A3. But I cannot find the right article. Can you tell me the item number of the exhaust?

Will I loose my warrant if I fit that to my a3

Andrew Xie so where can I get this fitted on my car

Is this the 5 door or 3
It's the US spec quattro sedan. Not pictured in the frame are the other pair of exhaust pipes on the right.
100-200? Thanks
