What can be done is to place a double-triple folded Chaadar in plain or pattern to be placed on the top of the box and then set the banjo on that Chaaadar. It would look beautiful, the banjo will stand out prettier and the most important advantage is the stability it will create for the banjo during the play. I would even have another fluffy chaadar at the bottom of the box to stabilize the box even more.
