I hate seeing caged birds, someone has given them a life sentence without the possibility of parol. that's what I would like to do to the owner of this cage.
Did you know that overpopulation causes thousands of birds in farming areas to be killed for raiding crops ? Birds that are captured instead of being killed that were sold to pet stores instead are the ancestors of most pet birds. The majority of pet birds were hand raised indoors and would die from fright or killed by wild birds or cats and dogs or cars.within minutes of being released outside or freeze or starve. Most bird owners give them as much food, love and attention and try to provide for them as well as they can.A lot better than a lot of people get in this world!.Why don't you try to find out the whole story by watching several quality educational documentaries about it before you judge what you don't know about?
@@kittymama9186 THANK YOU! I have had tiels for nearly 25 years and I know they are better off than any of their wild relatives in Australia. My present birb is over 20 years old. That is FAR older than any wild tiel. He is still spunky for his age. Your comment is appreciated, because my birb is a family member to me. He has full run of the house when I'm home, so his cage is no 'life sentence' when he has room to fly and roam. I'm lucky to have him and he's a birb way luckier than many to have such freedom.
Okay well, These cockatiels are in a travel cage, their real ones are bigger. Still dont agree? These tiels were bred in captivity, they NEVER lived the in the wild, and need an owner. Theres NO way the bird will survive long. High chance the person isnt even in Australia. Us bird owners, DO let our birds out, just not outside in the wild. These birds are outside, and you can not open the door. Im sure these birds are happy and well fed, and can spend time out of the cage inside the house.
I don't mean to be nosy, but where did You get Such awesome Birds I would Pay the Person or You Top dollar for one?????? If You could give me information????? Please thank You....is that I have one but he's pretty Old and needs a friend..........
These are the most subdued Tiels I’ve ever seen.. clearly very unhappy. Shame on you for keeping them in such cramped cages in such poorly lit areas. I can only pray you (if you even hold one) you have your breeders permit revoked. Disgraceful.
No toys to play with? Thats why they are climbing up & down the cage. They NEED toys, even if u let them out to play, they still NEED inside toys... SAD. Beautiful birds/beautiful cage; even tho I hate birds caged. Too bad ppl love to captivate animals. These are beautiful, bored male, greys.
They need lots more room and grass with grass seeds toys it’s so distressing seeing them in such a small space,I still have my last cockatiel left in a very large aviary he’s 30 years old and very healthy he’s just lost his 29 years old partner, don’t want to sound mean but give them space or yours won’t live as nearly as long as mine. They need veggies, cuttlefish, fruit.
My birds enjoy this video but then I took a closer look at the way those birds are kept..the bottom tray on that cage is filthy! do they have any food and water? for God's sake they're trapped in that cage 24/7 give them something to make life more bearable.
@@barbaramiller4698 I agree I have 2 cockatiels they are in a very large aviary outside ,one is turning 31 years the other 30 they need grass toys room to Fly .
I agree...thank you for caring about these birds. Some people see animals as only a business...they want to breed..sell and make a profit. They dont believe or care that every God created animal has feelings ...emotions and its own personality.
Im not playing this for my cockatiels anymore. I noticed my birds make more noise but i believe they are responding to the negative sounds coming from these trapped cockatiels in a dark tiny filthy cage without toys or proper food. If you want to breed and multiply living creatures without caring for their feelings than raise cockroaches but leave delicate birds alone.
Their bored to death the poor things and the cage is not big enough, just look at them, they need natural twigs in their cage, bigger water containers as cockatiels luv to get in and have a bath, yes isn’t it lovely watching them whistle, but what about them, they need the life they are a custom to and they should have it if your going to keep them in captivity.
Regardless of whether this is the birds temporary cage or permanent one, this is NOT how bird keeping should be presented to the world. Someone watching this video who doesn't know much about birds could easily watch this and think that its ok for birds to live like this. Most people don't read the comments. For the sake of all the birds around the world whose owners might watch this video, will you please TAKE IT DOWN
*IMPORTANT WARNING FOR PET BIRD OWNERS:* The food that we normally give to the canaries (and other companion birds) consisting of a "complete, balanced and top-quality seeds mixture" bought in pet stores or malls, makes the owners trust that their pet is well fed, but it's not so: indeed the birds health is at serious risk. The owners of canaries, parrots, cockatoos, budgies, cockatiels, etc., WE MUST PAY ATTENTION TO DOMESTIC BIRD BREEDERS AND VETS and keep in mind that although we feed them with such a typical seeds mixture, our birds are very likely in danger of suffering a painful and unexpected PREMATURE DEATH BY FATTY LIVER DISEASE. Canaries, for example, will surely die at 4 - 7 years of age of the more than 15 that they can live. It's sad that pet birds are fated to die early and painfully in so many cases. You have to warn people to avoid it! This deadly disease is very common in pet birds but owners usually don’t know or detect it in time. And we can’t imagine that *THE CAUSE IS IN THE FOOD ITSELF* that we provide to our birds, in which such *a typical mixture contains low-fat seeds such as canary seed together with other VERY fatty seeds such as niger, hemp or nabine and, in addition, the birds usually prefer to eat the fatty seeds* so that their REAL DIET is unbalanced by excessive fat, gradually causes the fatty infiltration of the liver and in a few years causes fatty liver hepatitis and PREMATURE DEATH to pet birds. *Also the fruits and specially the breeding paste and its pigments and THE SUNFLOWER SEEDS ATTACK THE LIVER* if they are taken too much or for too long. It's a cruel disease that progresses silently and, when its unexpected symptoms begin, they are easily confused with other ailments so the owners usually postpone the visit to the vet at a time already critical for the life of the bird (besides that not all vets are trained to recognize this elusive and misleading disease, even to administer lipotropic and regenerative liver protectors in curative doses, just in case it's that and not a supposed blow). It's a process of slow and asymptomatic progression, but when their visible symptoms begin (acute phase) the disease accelerates. *SYMPTOMS OF THE ACUTE PHASE OF FATTY LIVER DISEASE:* First, overgrowth of beak and nails since months before, progressive sadness and/or pecking, hard belly (in many cases, with a dark spot with a half-moon shape on the belly, which seems a "tumor", to see it you have to wet your fingers to remove the down), falls from the sticks of the cage that seem for "errors of calculation" and then lameness (that make believe that they are by the previous falls, but both symptoms are due to that it hurts the liver), lack of flight and singing, the bird fluffs up his feathers or bends more or less slowly; Then, within a few weeks or a few days, heavy breathing with open beak, remaining lying on the floor of the cage near the food, sudden spasms from time to time (which make people believe that the bird is "epileptic" but it are twinges of pain of diseased liver), abundant greenish poop (caused by biliverdin which if it's not fasting, it means hepatic harm), then black and watery (from hepatic hemorrhages), then a strange purplish color of skin and beak, an excessive appetite and the final "improvement" of a few days (in the last phase, the already degenerated liver becomes deflated by what the bird seems to ameliorate), after which it suddenly dies among seizures (which may seem a "heart infarct" or a "stroke"). For the first symptoms the liver has already degenerated to 80% and only an urgent (and accurate) vet action can save your bird and revert the liver situation. If you simply feed your bird with the loose seeds mixture (even if you give it fresh fruits, vegetables and let it exercise, for example by letting it out of the cage at home), right now your pet's liver is degenerating, and neither you nor your bird know. *Without liver protectors, it's almost certain that your bird will die early and in many cases you won’t be able to determine its real cause.* Hepatic lipidosis it's not only deadly by itself when the visible symptoms begin (sometimes even it does not warn at all until few moments before the death). Even before the acute phase it predisposes the bird to suffer infections, as it weakens the immune system. Obese pet birds have an higher risk of many other diseases, like arthritis, heart disease and cancer. Obesity in birds it's not so apparent but it's more dangerous than in other animals like mammals. So in addition to giving to the birds lipotropic and detox / regenerating hepatic protectors preventively and routinely, breeders usually make their own mixtures with low fat seeds. *PREVENTION AND/OR TREATMENT:* The time to act is NOW that your bird doesn’t show yet the visible symptoms. It's necessary to ACTIVELY PREVENT THE LIVER DEGENERATION. Fortunately it's easy to do it: *It's very advisable to substitute progressively (within some weeks, as per the instructions of the manufacturer) the mixture of loose seeds for some pellets compound food of seeds, fruits and vegetables (preferably those that already include liver protectors), because this prevents the bird from filtering and eating mostly the fatty seeds (but without insisting if the bird does not get accustomed to eating pellets because he could die for starvation within a few days).* *And, whatever the diet, it's CRUCIAL to add to the drinking water or to the food LIPOTROPIC LIVER PROTECTORS that include carnitine and / or choline, betaine, methionine, etc., (and it's very convenient to add DETOX / REGENERATING LIVER PROTECTORS with thistle milk, boldo, artichoke extract).* Liver protectors are not medicine but cheap food supplements manufactured by pet bird vet laboratories that remove the fat from the liver, clean it and favor its recovery. It's essential to add them to the pet birds diet to conserve their liver. It's something that breeders and vets know, but we the owners usually don't know. It are appearing in the market compound feed for pet birds that don’t include fatty seeds and that already include several liver protectors. *But the vast majority of owners still confidently feed their birds with the typical mixture of loose seeds with little fat and other very fatty seeds... And their birds continue dying for hepatic lipidosis in a large number of cases (likely, in most cases).* Now we know that, as fatty liver disease develops from the daily food itself, it’s most likely *THE FIRST CAUSE OF DEATH OF PET BIRDS, and more so as the bird ages.* Webs on FLD: www.beautyofbirds.com/liverdisease.html Liver disease is a slow, on-going progressive disease where the liver tissue is replaced with fat. When the liver disease has progressed, the bird may suddenly appear ill. www.lovinghands.com/forms/Hepatic%20Lipidosis%20-%20Fatty%20Liver%20Disease.pdf One of the sadder diseases many avian vets see is that of hepatic lipidosis or fatty liver disease. It's sad in a number of ways since often the birds are very ill, life-threateningly so, or possibly having died suddenly. Often the owners have been unaware of the dangers of feeding their beloved pet the seeds, peanuts, or other fatty foods the bird obviously loves to eat. These are truly cases of "loving your bird to death". Any bird can fall victim to fatty liver disease. www.researchgate.net/publication/46105643_Treating_liver_disease_in_the_avian_patient Dietary deficiencies of lipotrophic factors such as choline, biotin, and methionine may decrease the transport of lipids from the liver. The clinical manifestations of hepatic diseases in ornamental birds are much more frequent than people could realize and in many cases they are not appreciated, progress in a silent way and when they are evident, vet action may arrive late. Most any avian symptomatology should be considered as if it was a pathology that could be serious, and not allow the disease to develop because then it will probably be too late. We must closely investigate the symptoms, take preventive measures that don’t harm (such as giving liver and intestinal protectors according to the leaflet) ask for advice from vets, breeders, etc. and procure the most appropriate treatment RAPIDLY, but without rushing in the treatment or with the doses in such small animals. If the days go by and the bird doesn’t improve, it's necessary to continue investigating and, if necessary, change the medication in an informed and contrasted manner. Doing nothing or stopping research usually ends up with the bird dead, but acting without being sure of what is done and in what dose, it likely ends the same way. It's necessary to obtain and confirm the sufficient vet experience and have the serenity to determine in each case whether it's convenient to hasten to do and / or administer what medicine and in what dose, or if it’s better not to do and let the situation evolve without medicating for the time being, or according to the medication that has already been administered. A limp in a bird is not always an injury caused by a blow, but the symptom of a disease of some organ (usually the liver or an intestinal disease) that needs to be discovered and treated ASAP. When in doubt, change diet to one with the lowest fat possible (only birdseed, or with other low-fat seeds such as millet, chia and vegetables) and administer lipotropic and regenerating liver protectors in curative doses immediately... although nothing could foresee a fatal outcome. There are also food supplements protectors of the intestinal mucosa and stimulants of the immune system. In doses according to the leaflets do not cause damage, it will surely save the life of your bird (if it's not too late), and will keep them with a basic wellness.
Thank you VERY much for this information, I haven't read through it all just yet but so far it's very handy, I've saved it in a note for later viewing when I'm not so tired. Thank you for your efforts, much appreciated!
@@michelletyler9161 I'm glad that also your birds will avoid the most unknown by owners, yet most common, covert, misleading and deadly disease: the FLD. Vic64Y Wait so, I got my bird food from a Per center that takes care of there birds. But, should I order food by a super expert home made bird food site? (I have a cockatiel)
@@jennifer23426 depending on what type of bird food you bought. The most current suggestion by avian vets and ornithologists is that a captive kept parrot's diet should consist of about 40-70% pellets (think Zupreem natural pellets), 20-30% fresh greens and other veggies, and only about 5-10% seeds and treats. I agree with the original poster that fat-filled seed mixes that are sold at pet supply stores are unnecessary and too fattening for birds. If you plan to switch your bird over to a healthier diet, may I suggest to do it gradually and over a longer time period. Take note of what veggies and fruits your bird prefers. May I also suggest implementing captive foraging for your tiel's food and treats. This imitates how they would forage in their natural habitat.

Most bird owners give them as much food, love and attention and try to provide for them as well as they can.A lot better than a lot of people get in this world!.Why don't you try to find out the whole story by watching several quality educational documentaries about it before you judge what you don't know about?
patricia treslove It’s a carrier,He said they take them outside in these cages ,But there regular cage is much bigger :)
@@T0mtoma it still needs cleaning!!!
Would you please shut up ? He said its temporary and maybe he can't let them out and it's not like the cage barely fits them
Are these trained??
You should not be allowed to keep birds in cages like this, it is cruel very cruel, for a start, it does not have enough natural light
Okay well,
These cockatiels are in a travel cage, their real ones are bigger.
Im sure these birds are happy and well fed, and can spend time out of the cage inside the house.
is it bad for my tiels to hear those "fake" sounds. i mean the birds they hear are not really there
I don't mean to be nosy, but where did You get Such awesome Birds I would Pay the Person or You Top dollar for one?????? If You could give me information????? Please thank You....is that I have one but he's pretty Old and needs a friend..........
the birds are definetly showing signs of distress , need a much larger cage
👍👍👍
So SAD to see these beautiful animals in tiny cages
Lindo
These are the most subdued Tiels I’ve ever seen.. clearly very unhappy. Shame on you for keeping them in such cramped cages in such poorly lit areas. I can only pray you (if you even hold one) you have your breeders permit revoked. Disgraceful.
This might just be their 'outdoor visit time' cage. And they very well might be shy young birds. They seem fairly active and engaged in the view.

Thank you. I'm using this now to try to call in an escapee while I prepare a recording of our own little flock. Hope it works.
@Do Something does that make sense?
@@barbaramiller4698 I agree I have 2 cockatiels they are in a very large aviary outside ,one is turning 31 years the other 30 they need grass toys room to Fly .
@@angelapietras1235 God bless you for taking such good care of your precious cockatiels....3 decades of a great life thanks to you!
I agree...thank you for caring about these birds. Some people see animals as only a business...they want to breed..sell and make a profit. They dont believe or care that every God created animal has feelings ...emotions and its own personality.
You are right!!
0:36 had the exact same bird until it got eaten by a snake. his name was razor
This is the cockatiel equivalent to being in a prison cell WTF
My male is looking for the female, lol ❤️
The birds are terrified!
Omg, you are damning a person and situation that you don't even know! Rude and unjustified!!
Kya price hai baby cockatiel ka
Need cockatiel's pair !
Alhamdulillah
Sad. Why so many birds confined? Make the room an aviary.
They need a WAY bigger cage. That is criminal to keep them in there.
MAH BIRBS GON NUTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS THANKS
Why don't they have toys in the cage with them and only 1 perch ? Also most birds prefer to be at the top of the cage because they feel safer there.
Regardless of whether this is the birds temporary cage or permanent one, this is NOT how bird keeping should be presented to the world. Someone watching this video who doesn't know much about birds could easily watch this and think that its ok for birds to live like this. Most people don't read the comments. For the sake of all the birds around the world whose owners might watch this video, will you please TAKE IT DOWN
My bird pixy is trying to find the birds 😭♡♡
These cages are too small...
That dowel needs to go!!! Get nice wooden perches from them....
This is so sad. They need a bigger cage better yet an aviary hate to see birds locked up but of they have to be not in these tiny cages
u can hear loud car screeches so they might be traveling and filming this
Pobres pajaritos, la jaula es muy muy pequeña y no tiene los accesorios adecuados
2 vocal potatoes
Feddahspuds with beaks.
😙
Have a cockatiel name shadow it is a boy
That cage is way too small!!! Do your research on cockatiels before posting videos!! They want out!!
These poor little guys need some toys!
Hi
*Without liver protectors, it's almost certain that your bird will die early and in many cases you won’t be able to determine its real cause.*
Hepatic lipidosis it's not only deadly by itself when the visible symptoms begin (sometimes even it does not warn at all until few moments before the death).
Fortunately it's easy to do it: *It's very advisable to substitute progressively (within some weeks, as per the instructions of the manufacturer) the mixture of loose seeds for some pellets compound food of seeds, fruits and vegetables (preferably those that already include liver protectors), because this prevents the bird from filtering and eating mostly the fatty seeds (but without insisting if the bird does not get accustomed to eating pellets because he could die for starvation within a few days).*
*And, whatever the diet, it's CRUCIAL to add to the drinking water or to the food LIPOTROPIC LIVER PROTECTORS that include carnitine and / or choline, betaine, methionine, etc., (and it's very convenient to add DETOX / REGENERATING LIVER PROTECTORS with thistle milk, boldo, artichoke extract).*
Liver protectors are not medicine but cheap food supplements manufactured by pet bird vet laboratories that remove the fat from the liver, clean it and favor its recovery.
And their birds continue dying for hepatic lipidosis in a large number of cases (likely, in most cases).* Now we know that, as fatty liver disease develops from the daily food itself, it’s most likely *THE FIRST CAUSE OF DEATH OF PET BIRDS, and more so as the bird ages.*
Webs on FLD:
www.beautyofbirds.com/liverdisease.html
Liver disease is a slow, on-going progressive disease where the liver tissue is replaced with fat.
And that they will keep wellness during their full lifespan. Please, spread the word also offline to your neighbors, friends, etc., and let's save more birds out there. 👍👍

Wait so, I got my bird food from a Per center that takes care of there birds.
SO EASY TO DO VIDEO KAMERAKU! HOW ABOUT YOU HOOK UP THE BIRDS AND IF MONEYS IS AN ISSUE I CAN HELP WITH BIRD SUPPLIES BUT YOU HAVE TO SHOW THEM LIVING BETTER!
Ley them out of the cages folks as much as possible there alive
My cages are small but I just let them out 24\7
These birds look so sad :(
Terrible setup, but they actually look very happy. Idk where you got sad from. Theyre moving and singing, clearly happy.
ARE YOU SERIOUS! Dude, you need to make sure these babies have a better home. They need sunlight and fresh air and toys and newspaper and a bigger cage and clean water and proper nutrition. I have reported you and will continue to do so until you sort these babies out
they're probably traveling smh
why newspaper
why my boy olaf got panic hearing this?
Whoever owns those birds u should be ashamed of yourself nothing in cage to entertain them cage is crap
Maybe they are scared of toys mine freaks out when I put an unusual object in his cage, not like he doesn't trust me I can pet his head and he likes me but just is scared of everything
Its a travel
Beautiful birds, horrible conditions. Let them out and get a larger cage. They're living in jail.
