Full Wizarding World of Harry Potter Opening Show with film stars and John Williams

- Most of the major stars from the Harry Potter movies helped light Hogwarts Castle in one of the opening ceremonies for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park.
On stage were Michael Gambon (Albus Dumbledore), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley). J.K. Rowling was also in attendance, but didn't make any public appearances.
For the ceremony, Radcliffe and Grint arrived via flying car, while the others came on the Knight Bus that wheeled around the corner and parked in front of Hogwarts. The music for the show was performed by the Orlando Philharmonic, led by John Williams.

Okay.... Why doesn't Universal put on the show every night? not with the actors of course, but the light and fireworks. That show was absolutely stunning.

I'm a huge fan of John Williams & I'd cry if I was there that night knowing that I saw him & heard his gorgeous music live in person. As for the cast, I'd scream "I love you guys!" For Daniel, I'd blow a kiss in his direction & then scream "I love you, Daniel!"

Was there 8 years ago. Hope to be back next year. A lot of long waits. So all I can say is thank you to all those people who worked there that day. I enjoyed my holiday.
I swear, Dan's always making me smile and giggle from his actions. :3

There is a ride called Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey inside hogwarts and also a walkthrough tour before the ride! (I have never been before coz I liv in Australia but I am going from info I have found) Have Fun!!!

It would be cool but there is no real place to launch the fireworks and would probably cause too many complaints in the surrounding neighborhood. I would love to live in that neighborhood though. I wonder what the high school students there usually talk about, considering they are located directly behind Universal Orlando.

@Medimento I mean can you visit inside Hogwarts or it is just a big building made out of something as if it is only for view outside. Now that I know (I watch other videos too), I will looking forward to visit this place!

@xxdarkage007xx I did go, and you heard wrong it wasnt a 6 hour wait, it was an 8 hour wait, but it was totally worth it. The new ride is amazing, butterbeer is awesome, pumpkin juice is okay. tomorrow im going again and im going to try the pumpkin fizz. which is the same thing except carbinated.

Because they are having this event for Diagon Alley on June 18, if my memory serves correctly. I really hope to go for the Evening Reception for Diagon Alley and I wanted to know how you got in for the one in Hogsmeade!
There was a Red Carpet segment on this event as well, and I saw some kids in the background so I was wondering how they got in :) Thank you!
@StrangeMusicFan91 you were gonna go to islands of adventure at like 11am at the grand opening?....you shouldnt have went i heard that there were about 2000-3000 people waiting in line about 6 hours to get in to this....i saw photos and the line went almost to the entrance of universal studios passing hard rock cafe in city walk

I'm a millionaire or billionaire because I always knew that Harry Potter was going to be coming to Universal Studio Orlando since 2001.
@XxXxXhorseLoverXxXxX England doesn't have warm enough weather, also Orlando draws huge tourism with Disney and being part of Universal it will make a lot more money

@LaurangeLiik She already saw the entire park and at this time, she had to do something with her university back home. As a local here in Orlando- that's the only news I heard around about emma watson. Don't know if it is true- but it does make a bit of sense.

Because inside the castle, not only do you get a small tour of the Hogwarts experience, but there's also a ride.

@PinkTwilight12 JK Rowling was there. She just wasn't making any public appearances. She can be seen walking behind Daniel Radcliffe in a Today Show interview with him.
