I didn't think the Xmaxx could go even more MT but I was wrong.... Just sick setup and feel with those tires.... Love the 1100kv too, would love to see this thing bashing in the springtime catching some air and flips. Great stuff brother!
If your 2085 servo has problems when the weather warms up the Futaba A700 is a MUNSTER servo but it pulls a lot of Amps I lov mine good video happy to see it all work for you
So I was thinking about trying this.... Then I found out these are $113 per pair, $230 for a set.... Props to you Jason,.... I guess I will just watch yours 😎👍👍
I got my off a buddy who bought a mint mtxl. I payed $200 CDN for them. I’ve wanted them for awhile and they were going to cost $400 CDN shipped. And I wasn’t going to pay that.
i just did the mtxl swap because of your swap looks great man! as far as wheel trimming i started with a medium side cutter horizontally and it pretty much stayed straight with a sharpie line then snipped the vertical by the outer webbing where it starts the angled drop in if that makes sense. so ive got a nice clean 90 that clears almost everything.i finished final trim with my hand held belt sander and made a final curved swoop where webbing meets the rim center.i wish i could post a pic for you almost looks factory.point being grab a even cheapy belt sander from harbor freight and this will easily correct your current wheels as well. love the build it inspired me! looks great!
Those tires look sick on there. I had to tape the tires and foams. Way too much expansion. But they drift like no other tire. Nice work on that truck for sure!
That area looks like salt lake Utah. But again, I’m sure a lot of areas look similar lol. I can’t wait for my xmaxx paddles to get here! Love ur xmaxx!
Thank you, you answered my question, I was wondering if these tires would work good in the deep snow and keep the truck afloat. I have 2 X-Maxx's with tires like this and every time it snowed enough to go out and try them I've had to work. Which the snow creates longer hours for me so I'm not able to get out and run them in the snow and it melts to about 6" before I get a chance to run them. My son and I have 2 Summits with the castle creation brushless systems and Jumbo Kong tires and their lot of fun in the snow with the diffs locked and seeing how these work in the snow is exactly what I wanted and I love snow bashing. I had to do the same to the wheels but I used a round ball like grinding stone so I wouldn't have any sharp angles because that is where stress cracks will start. You may want to go back and smooth out some of the jagged angles to help keep stress cracks from forming. That is why airplane windows have radius in the corners to help stress cracks from forming.
These videos distract me from the bad time I'm going through. As always great video, I was waiting to see those tires if they go well. I was curious what kind of actionCam you are using, good quality, even in stills. Thanks. Greetings.
I seen in the comments you are running 29-50 im running the max6 with the hobbywing 1100kv motor 23-35 mod1.5 and seem to be overheating the max6 esc gonna try the 18-35 to try to cool it down any experience with them?
I have 4 Xmaxx’s. I have one with the castle mamba monster X 8S and 800KV motor. I look forward to more videos about your thoughts on this 1100 KV HobbyWing setup.
I’m having xmaxx issues, just got it yesterday brand new and the Cush drive has a terrible binding problem when the Cush drive cover is tight. Without the Cush drive, the vehicle is smooth as butter when it rolls, my pinion to spur gear mesh is perfect as well. I figured out that when I tighten the back two screws on the Cush drive cover, it makes the binding noise so I backed those screws off a little and kept the front two tight. Posted a video of it on UA-cam, someone please help me out.
I am having the same problem here. I put 0,5mm spacing (aluminium tape) under the back bearing and tightend the screws kinda snug. Bad luck or bad construction. I do not know. I know this... not good for an 1100,- euro rc car. Succes with this.
@@nielsaarts6493 I emailed traxxas and they said the sound is normal which is complete bs. Anyways, they’re shipping me a new rear bulkhead and Cush drive cover?
Love the smell of snow and RCs in the morning
Nice x maxx with big tires, now it really looks like a monster truck. So nice, so nice!

I can’t wait. I’m going to have running it in the snow. But I’m excited to see what it will do when I get it back on grass and hitting the jumps.
Hi Jason what exact system you got in the XMAXX? I’m working on mine would love to get your reference thanks a lot
You have a parts list man?
Props for taking it out in the cold! ❄️❄️ Seems like the 1100kv has really good power 💪

@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs what modifications do the tires/rims need to fit the xmaxx?

That thing looks so awesome with those tires on it. Just run it like that all the time lol
That thing is BEAST!
Wow! The wheels are so big, it makes the truck look small. More to "scale" for a monster truck.
Now that's a Xmaxx. Great video keep up the great work
Love the HW1100 motor. Good upgrade from stock without the drivetrain reliability issues that come with the larger 800kV motor.
Exactly. That was my thoughts when I was buying it.
Wow man that thing has some power!! Love the wheel set up

Wow what a cool video xmaxx in the snow lol! I wanna get snow footage on my channel too!! Thanks for showing 💯😎🦾
LOL, checking the motor for heat was hilarious.
Looks great Jason , Happy Holidays.👍👍💯💯
Love the wheels 👍🏻
Those are the best tires for the nice. Good floatation tire. On the X-Maxx though they look huge.
4:57 the moment you realize how freaking heavy that thing is..ughhhh 😂

Hello,
I use an iPhone for the inside footage and the stills. GoPro hero 8 for the running footage.
Movin pretty good with no traction. Lucky you got the monster tires on it. Would be impossible with standard tires
Haha great video bro looks like so much fun 👍🏽👊🏾✌🏽🔥
Looks great with the wheels mate and think in the cold nothing's going get hot hahaha. I'm feeling cold just watching hahaha.
I just got the red xmaxx to... animal!!!!!

Are those tires much heavier than stock?
Yes. Close to 300 grams more a corner.
