Your hair is an inspiration and goal, just beautiful !
I really like this project! Can't wait to try sewing this muff. The faux fur is lovely!
Laura- Wow! Love the fabrics you chose! The Luxe Cuddle® is perfect for this project!
You are awesome.... thank you... that's gorgeous...very detailed...just add a fur headband...and you're set
I had little white rabbit fur muffs when I was a little girl in the 1950's. One was a little purse with a doll head. I had ear muffs to match. I want to make this for my granddaughter. I ordered one and gave it to her but it is stiff and not soft. This one is perfect if I can find the fabric. Thank you.
I’m going to be making a few of these with a webbing strap and buckle and maybe zipper pocket for my husband who is a hunter and some friends with camo material and something cozy for the liner ofcourse! 😆❤️thank you!i was thinking the pocket would be awesome to not drop phone or keys in the woods or for hand warmers!
Great project. I have enough faux fur to get this finished! Thank you.
This is amazing and so creative
Love it. I want one. So cute.
I didn't see you putting the fluff in .... anyways ,,, how to do it Laura ? I love this muff, thanks for the video.
I’m guessing you’re using a 1/2” seam allowance generally? I hope it’s enough! I don’t think I have enough fabric to remake it if it’s too small 😅
I am in love! OMG. I have always loved old fashioned fur muffs and the pocket is genius. You are engaging and easy to follow. This was my first project after purchasing a sewing machine and you made it a success! Thank you so very much
good master class, but what if there is no fur and only thin fabric?
I would line the thin fabric but other than that it is all the same:)
once u zipper, u cant put your hand in
We had these as children in the 1960's. My Mom loves muffs. I like them too. They are stylish and warm!
i was a 60s child too and love them. I am going to make one and a lovely warm cape
@@aaliyahraks me too! I remember mine was white with a tiny red flower on it.
Omg, laura, my mother was just telling me she wanted a muff. I made fun oif her and told her she was going back to 1800 roots:) I’m going to make this for and she’ll be sew surprised!!! Love you!
I had a furry muff when I was little. I’d love to make myself one. They were sooo warm. Wonder why people don’t use them anymore 🤔
I think for washing I wanted to use batting.... but I didn’t have any and craft store is closed 😆so I’m using an old towel wish me luck!! Hah!!!
I've made these since I was 20 im 46 now and people always asked about them , I just adore mine I like crocheting mine they are so warm and very useful in winter and I always put a pocket for candy haha .
Thanks for the super thorough tutorial! This'll be a great gift for my girlfriend
Growing up in the '60s I have fond memories of my Muffs! I love your tutorial and once I have all my materials assembled you and I will be having a "sew along"! Thank you for a wonderful and through video.
Just finished making this with faux bear fur. Will use it in Regency era costuming. I tried using a metal purse zipper, Wrong answer! The metal zipper was too inflexible, I ripped it out and put in a soft zipper. Had a bit of trouble with the fur getting caught in the zipper so I carefully cut a bit of the fur away from the zipper. Does not affect appearance at all. Also, instead of putting the loop in the seam I am attaching it to the zipper pull. The zipper pull gets a bit lost in the fur so this will help me find it. Thank you for the great pattern & clear instructions!
Excellent instructions, thanks sew very helpful.
Laura I love that muff it’s beautiful by any chance you sell them🌸
Wow Laura , you make sewing look so very easy ! 😉 I live in Australia, in a cooler region and I feel the cold. I am going to make a lighter version of this gorgeous hand muff. Thanx for your time and another great video !❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜
Great tutorial Laura! They sell those fluffy throws for less than 10 bucks we could make quite a few muffs with them and spend way less than usual for yardage.
What a cute idea! I love the suggestion on how to cut faux fur! Also, I spy a cool turned pointer!
Gorgeous! I just told my husband the other day I wanted a muff and he didn't know what it was. Now I can show him and have the directions to make a beautiful one for myself. The pocket is a wonderful idea. 😍
Can you make this with fleece fabric
Wow, I have not seem a muff in years. I was a little girl when my grandma made them for us. Thank you.
Going to make this with the leftovers from the fur hood you made
