It strikes me for a complete amateur like myself, who has never used clay before, the mitt is likely the best place to start since it's mild and easy. May not be the best but I'm also not going to screw up my car first go round
I’ve probably used your clay mitt on 100 different vehicles. I have gone through a few of them and I have liked them for my normal details. If I am doing a Graphene ceramic coating I will go for traditional, but for common details, clay mitt all the way.
Just did this last well on my wife's Lexus. I used Adams Shampoo with ONR along with clay miit (seen in video). Definitely worth the time prior to polishing and sealing.
No wonder you have an amazing company! You put everything in simple easy to follow instructions! I never knew there was a guy name Adam, that shows ya much I know…lol
Thanks for thid instructional video but I'd never use clay mitt instead of wash mitt with the car shampoo. Car shampoo is another chemical as well. And I totally agree with you, clay mitt is the least aggressive decontaminating tool. Clay bar is the best.
as a detailer two big questions come to my mind … 1. how often do you recommend rinsing (or dunk in rinse bucket) off your clay mitt when you are removing contamination with the detail spray method and soap method? 2. some clay mitts (and synthetic pads, sponges, discs) will introduce marring into the clearcoat that looks like "ice frost" when performed in colder outside temperatures…(below 55/60f) Do you have the same experience with your clay mitt? Great video thank you very much! Joel's Auto Detailing Sandusky Ohio

Could you possibly find some vehicles that get driven everyday, sit out in the sun for 12 to 16 hours no garage and use your products on that. I have a 03 f150 and a 14 fusion. My truck gets used every day and I work beside a chemical plant. Not to be a negative Nelly, but all I see you guys work on are vehicles that are kept under cover and do not get driven often.
If you are using a Clay Mitt during the wash process as Adam demonstrates in this video, you can just rinse all of the clay and soap residue off with the hose or pressure washer and then move onto your drying step.
What do you think of spraying tar remover. (Applies to iron remover too) then cover them with ph neutral snow foam? So it can dweel longer and maybe it the iron / tar remover can be more effective?
Iron & tar removers are generally formulated to work alone & not to dwell for long periods at all. Tar remover is also intense. It's not a maintenance product. It's for removing blatant visible tar, rubber, embedded bugs, etc. Iron remover is a maintenance decon product.
Hi there, the red woven fabric side should not be used on paint - it may not be delicate enough for some paint surfaces. That side is used to lay the mitt back into the packaging, or onto a work bench, detail cart, etc, without it sticking to that surface. You want to try to avoid laying it clay-side-down on any surface.
Are you supposed to wash, rinse and dry then foam again for the clay mitt and rinse and dry again? Or can you clay mitt on the initial foam for the wash? Or is the best way, wash -> rinse -> Dry -> detail spray & Clay mitt
You don't have to dry before using the clay mitt, but the car should be washed first. While still wet, you can apply more car shampoo/soap & use that as lube for the mitt. You could also re foam the whole car like Adam did in this vid.
Hi Pepe, not necessarily. The clay mitt isn't super aggressive, so as long as you use light pressure and rinse it out often, you should not see too much marring or light scuffs from it on a white or light-colored car. Machine or hand polishing is mainly to remove swirl marks and bring out more gloss and depth in the finish. After you clay, you could go straight to Surface Prep and then Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating, but keep in mind that any scratches or swirl marks will still be there afterward if you do not polish,
best ever is to use Bilt Hamber clay fr UK they have their own clay mine ! avail in S , M, H grades it is so pure they say and it is TRUE ! you can use just plain water ! try it let me know what you think ? and update your video w/an addendum ? thx Jack
I didn’t know this and applied your graphene ceramic 7 year coating on my 2020 Silverado over this contamination will the clay mit be safe on my ceramic coating?
Ideally you’d want to start over to get the most out of your coating. Do a strip wash, iron remover, clay, compound, polish, then apply your ceramic coating
Hi there, Adam is using our Mega Foam soap in the Foam Cannon to act as the clay lube in this case. You can use our Detail Spray as a clay lube on a clean vehicle as well, but Detail Spray will not foam up in a foam cannon.
Hi there, it was actually our Mega Foam shampoo mixed with water in the foam cannon. Our Detail Spray will not foam in a cannon since it's not a soap. You can see our washing video with Mega Foam here: ua-cam.com/video/Br0maV6KuJ4/v-deo.html
Doesn't it stand to reason that if the fine clay bar can be used on ceramic coatings, then one could also safely use the clay mitt on ceramic coatings. Correct?

No offense, but Adam and his multi-million dollar business is unfortunately not open for criticism. We all have found better and more optimal ways to decon over the years. But convincing the millions of Adam's customers that you have a better way might be more of a task than its worth my friend!
