You could also add a teaspoon of white vinegar which eat it away instantly then pour remaining amout through the valve to clean it out as well as the filter
Just replaced my metering unit which cleared a stop engine code. Now I’m getting spn 3361 diesel exhaust fluid dosing 1. Regen light is now on and I have no def consumption which was not a problem before the metering unit replacement. Any suggestions?
Hey, Mad Motor Repair! How did you get that 3rd bolt out when you took it apart? It seems to be a pita to unscrew... The other two T-20 bolts are piece of cake. But the last has a different shaped head for a flat screwdriver and what makes it worse: sits at an angle. Please help on this one
I have used a T- 20 screwdriver style driver and a pair of vise grips on the screwdriver to get the 3rd bolt out, it is a pain, all three bolts should use a T-20, it is straight in not at a angle, unless someone has put another bolt in it, hope this helps ya, thanks for being here!

If I would get 3364 fmi 2 and 4364 fmi 18 will this solve my problem. I also changed the Plv and Def pump and still get code I just have not too apart the mettering unit.
Carlos Waldo improper d.e.f quantity and conversion efficiency low, fault codes, could mean a clogged meetering unit, have you watched my other video DD15 D.E.F mentering valve restriction?

I took this apart to clean and noticed some oil inside. Any idea how oil I getting in?
letsgo243 air compressor possibly pushing oil into the air system, 1/4 air line feeds that, check air tanks see if any oil is in there
I think there is a valve before metering valve,that has grease in it when the seals fail the grease is passed through to the metering valve.

Is there a inlet screen where the def enters the metering unit or any screens at all that may get clogged in the metering unit?
letsgo243 yes on the def header unit, inside the def tank has 2 screens
