14:50 Hey, just letting anyone that wants to truly 100% the game, the game doesn't want you to just *get* however many chips to light up those LEDs, it wants you to get that many AT ONCE. In one palette, in one run. Most chips expect you to get five at once, which makes some especially tough, because they're exclusive to weapons that don't have color bias for them, like Extra Dodge Roll. I'm trying this, and uh, yeah it's a game of luck. So good luck, fellow completionists

@@mjdevlog I could be wrong (I haven't done it yet) but I don't think anything extra happens, you'll just have all the badges from it. But again, I haven't done it myself yet or seen it done, so I could be wrong

I get nostalgia for even simple things like opening drawers or sipping tea. Presumably, it's because I've done it the same way in my memories, but I never actually know fully. I get the itch in my brain and like a half-second flash of the past as well as a "This is nostalgic" moment, but I never know the full memory it comes from.
Kinda makes me sad, but I also appreciate it in another way. Feels like kid me isn't that gone after all.

You are doing great Jaymoji! Just so you know there are badges for beating the 12th palette with four or less hacks enabled(12 color chips allowed), for completely filling out the color chip guide, and for buying everything that cipher sells!

For some reason, 1:01:26 reminded me of the time where the original Splatoon made me realize that my Screen size was not adjusted for the tv and I did not know you could do special moves and everyone who could do it was cheating. The tv was blocking the Hold down left stick button so I just saw some gauge building for no apparent reason. Once I changed it, I quickly got better at the game as now I could "cheat" even though it's a basic game mechanic.

Oh, reprogramming all palettes isn't over, there are some more collectibles remaining, completing EACH of the color chip entries at level 3 will get you badges for the splashtags as well

The 8 ball level with the gusher portals, sinxe it was an easy level will only release a certin amount of enemies, and the all the way up and down turbine floor also does that for the gusher portals too
10:00 for the nostalgia comment, I get that a lot. It happens in the spring and summer for me. I have lots of good memories during the hotter months that makes me want to go back because of how special those moments are to me. At least I can go back every now and then when I sit outside in the shade with a cold lemonade
Same we had some of the hottest summers where i live during my childhood, so now whenever there's a sunny day or I'm just quietly sitting outside in the sun it makes me sad

Just so you know to truly hundred percent it you have to collect every color chip 5 times, (it might be more than that) defeat every boss and jelloton type a certain amount of times, buy everything from Cipher, read every dev diary and win with the final pallete using less than four hacks.

As someone who intends on doing all of that, I’d say completing the guides and getting all the badges is just frivolous fluff and shouldn’t be considered part of a complete run. Especially not the low hacks challenge, as that’s more of a vanity plate than anything else.
@@Rebecca_George I think it's being a completionist instead of 100%er, the latter just goes with what the game considers 100%, the former does absolutely everything and leaves nothing undone

Tip about special abilities: weapons in side order usually do not come stock with default abilities. Charger does not come with charge hold, you have to select that chip. Splatana does not come with forward dash, you have to select that chip.
The heavy splatling does not come with splatling barrage, charge hold, or midfire charge. Same with the stringer. You can choose to hold a charge with the stringer.
I hope you do another splatling run with the charge storage and midfire charge!
Edit: there is a way to check how many jelletons you killed. It’s in the side order section on the app.

Homing shots is a chip I go for EVERY time I see it. I makes it so you almost never miss it help with lots of different modes. Even if you only have one chip of it, it really helps.

a cool detail with the ink ive noticed is the majority of a certain colour chip will make that your ink colour and your second most colour like orange will change the tips of your hair to that said colour and at some point jay had 3 orange and 4 purple so the ink was a orange tinted purple which is cool and i wonder how many colour combinations the team did for this (this doesnt make much sense :'))
It's most likely just a hue shift done through a formula, and the ink pattern is likely a shader
to get the lights on chips you need to have 3 in your palette *at once* to get the 2nd and 5 *at once* to get the third

Tip! In the 8-Ball levels, you can walk up to the ball and use your inkling to nudge the ball into the spot so it goes in faster.
I got splatoon 3 because of this dlc. Good to see people doing a playthrough without pandering to the “high edits” standard of modern UA-cam.
Dramatic days in order land is probably familiar bc at the start of side order, she mentions that’s the module that kept Pearl stuck in drone form!

Your ink is based off what color you have most of and the highlights are best off the next highest (i think)
The chip collection actually only requires you to get five of the same chip in one palette, so basically getting charge hold five times in one run, despite three of the chips having a max of 10 in one run.

Yo Jay! There's a mod for Side order that allows you to bring in different weapons (and maybe choose your color chips instead of random ones idk) that normally aren't allowed in Side Order. You could do a Normal Day in side order. I'm just saying

Jay, you need to set multiple of the same chip in the palete to 100% it. Click on the chips in the chip guide and you can see there are entries locked by setting multiple in the palete.
Edit: Should've watched the video first. The big save for getting all the chips is pallete bias. Go for each chip category and use a pallete that is biased towards it on maximum bias (Marina hack for pallete bias). Get the floor and vending machine resets as low as possible too.

15:17 actually the text in the collection is a little misleading, the way you 100% a chip is to have at least 5 in the palette during a single run (except a few gimmick chips where you can have only 1 like no launch brella or squid attack).

If you press ZL on a weapon twice when choosing your weapon, you can read a few comments that Smolusk has on the people.

the side order charger doesn't automatically have the hold your charge in ink ability, you need to find the chip and put it in your palette for both charger and splatling
