- How to replace reverse halogen lights with leds for Mercedes-Benz W212 E-Class. Same procedure if you like to change broken bulb. Use T15 with canbus or else its going to show broken lights in dashboard.

Got canbus warning after a while from these. Lesson learned don’t buy cheap china lights ☺️ Buy some branded ones it’s worth to pay more and don’t have to bother about to change them all time. Still really easy task not taking much time to change them, and you really not have to remove the plastic it could hang in the cables if you like 🤘
Today I changed my reverse light bulbs to led ones. It was very easy, thanks to you. Only problem, I dropped both old bulbs inside the lamps. They seemed to come loose and drop quite easily. At the same time I changed trunk lid corner lights to leds also. I hope you keep posting these DIY videos, so I can get my car fixed. :)

They are kinda, need to change the link for the proper ones I now use from osram.

The amazon link looks like different bulbs than the one in the video and its the sirius brand which appears to be a subsidiary of osram so I think it is, but I want to be sure since I'm buying as a Christmas gift. Thanks is actually not changed I don’t know why I never changed the link. But these in the link are “cheap” ones and could brake kinda fast unfortunately. But they should work but never know for how long.
The way to do it this properly is to buy quality led and then install them with a external canbus decoder. That’s the thing the quality led don’t have canbus built in because they burn fast.

The reason there yellow is not to distract the incoming drivers with a sharp light, a soft yellow light is more suitable.
Hello, I also convert last week the reverse bulbs to Led T15 W16W Canbus in my Mercedes GL X166, but im geting error codes, should I install this 50Watt resistor? Thanks!

You got a point. But somehow I have always used W212 I guess it’s because mostly the non Mercedes geeks don’t even know it’s a other name for estate. You may waste some seconds clicking the video but still the most video on my channel apply for the saloon because the procedure is identical. But in this video is not the case I got you!

@@MB212 i think the led is with canbus ..the Chinese told me that :)
Think you should try with other leds also sometimes the cheap China led are broken right away. If it’s still not work you may add a canbus decoder.

Sorry don’t have that option in my car and not any experience how it operates. Best advice I could give you is to search the fault with OBD reader.

Have looked into that before and I see other merc UA-camr changed interior light but he skipped map light because it’s was to hard. It’s bit of work I could do video later on that.

Thanks. Got them from China but bad quality try search for some well known brand. T15 led with canbus is the bulb you need.

Yess after a while the canbus decoder that are built in the bulb broke and it showed broken light in dashboard. Now using quality light only and no problem.
How i get hate of this car even when i have it self. One changing its Like in the jungle
