After reading the book (in Greek), it´s so precious to see how the Bookshop really looks like from inside! Love love love! i could live for ever lost in its endless corridors! I hope one day I travel to Scotland to see it from near.
Having 'read' (gulp, audiobook 😬) the 3 available books at the time, I intentionally visited Shaun's most excellent book emporium as I passed through Wigtown whilst driving the SWC300 route in May '22. It is a truly remarkable Tardis of a building absolutely bursting with books floor to ceiling in every room, recess, corridor, nook and cranny. I was hoping to have met Shaun but in actual fact I saw not a living soul in the place during my 20 minute visit. Maybe next time. I've since also listened to the 4th audiobook. I highly recommend a visit!!
Bloody hell; I had no idea how labyrinthine your shop is. I have just finished reading your Diary Of A Bookseller. A great read. I could spend all day in there - the thought of a roaring fire and an armchair sounds wonderful - how about a coffee machine to go with it? LOL. Thanks for a great book. Best wishes, Leigh
You're welcome, and thank you - I'm very glad you enjoyed it. We did have free coffee, but I got rid of it because it was a pain to clean the machine every day.
Shaun Bythell Read and loved the first volume - bought from the Samuel Johnson Museum in Lichfield. If it weren’t for lockdown, I’d be up to Scotland to see the shop in person without delay.
Reading you book right now. It's so nice to read a book then see exactly that place and staff which you were writing about. It's like a book magic - in the beginning all characters looks like fictional, but page by page you getting to know them better. Nicky is just how I imagined her)) And Captain is adorable.
Your bookshop is beautiful. I discovered your Facebook page thanks to your book that I am reading ( in French !). I should thank the bookseller who offered me your book, it's really funny ! I see that we have a lot of chance that an equivalent of NBA still exist in France ( but it was only imposed in 1981). I wish you a lot of chance for your future and will go on my Reading !

Just finished Confessions of a Bookseller and it’s nice to see what the shop looks like. Love it! Love bookshops with many rooms and corridors.
How did this take me two years to find? Wonderful.
شفت المقطع بعد قراءة كتاب هذا الكاتب، مكان يستحق الزيارة.
