I'm finally back with a small new starter ship. I've got a few much bigger ships in the works right now aswell :)

It's always useful to have a general utility ship sitting in reserve. Handy for rescue and repair or running a quick errand while your main ship is recharging. Glad to see you posting again. Congrats on finishing your masters.

The ship feels like it fills that utility role like a truck should -- it can carry enough and it'll get you there. I can imagine a small fleet of these ferrying between two ships, particularly when there's no stations or planets around.

I'm stealing the color palette on that ship and then adding some rust as well for an industrial looking large ship that I'm working on. It has a nice worn feel to it. That's the cost of me subscribing to your channel and your blueprint with a thumbs-up :)
Its just a simple lil transport pod, basically... but there's something about the design i just love
Looks like my VLC Viking. There's only up thrust, so it takes some skill to fly it...

Do you have any tips on making ships more lifelike (reminiscent of living animals or stuff like that)? I’m planning on doing a project in Space Engineers in the next update and I was wondering if you had any tips on organic looking ships
Anything that moves around helps I would say. Tons of subgrids like moving wings, arms, tentacles, etc. ofc, but you could also just add simple things into the walls like pistons without heads or hangar doors that open and close more or less randomly through timers. Blinking lights could also help, maybe in a cascade or smth. And of course lots of noise in the texturing and coloring.
Looks like the diamond back explorer from elite dangerous and I love that.
Maybe attaching a rotor to the piston base you can rotate things without rotate the ship
For a starter ship to miss the ability to respawn/ refine/ assemble stuff is interesting.
Looks awesome, don't want it to be to complex since it's a starter ship. But if your 4 large thrusters could rotate providing thrust in 360 degrees it would be so awesome

If u turn the parking break off it’s actually really easy to grab cars by the wheels and flip them when they can flop freely

It seems like a nice ship. Only thing I'd say it's missing is a survival kit fit into the back. So that if something happens to the player, they can respawn to that kit.

Really like the utility of this design. It looks civilian-spec and affordable while still having a flair of ruggedness and reliability.

You should put a rotor on that piston so you can flip rovers without flipping your ship.

If you swapped a cargo container for a survival kit that’d give it much more utility

can you make a ship that is very early stages of space exploration, like humans just got the space and made it. Also it has to be so old that some parts are just junks of other derelict ships. Overall rust, faded colors, old tech, that kind of stuff. i just wanna see how you can achieve it.
Starter survival ships usually require a survival kit or they have no purpose. Greeble all you want, this ship is worthless as a starter ship without a survival kit.

The concept itself is a failure. Attempting to call this a "starter" ship while using large thrusters is an oxymoron at best.
