As I am no audio technician, I have no idea what you did to your mic to make it record the natural sound of the ocean.
Just got super lucky back then that I had no excessive wind, no people, no cars, just the sounds of the sea. I think I did use a wind guard on the mic, but, that was it!

Could you tell me where this was filmed..i.e. which street?
Hello! From what I can remember this was filmed near the 1st Street beach entrance. I remember the pier was only a short walk down the beach from this shot and both areas are near the bay inlet.
