- Re-upped & tweaked..I put together a true proper extended mix with real vocal and instrumental parts. This is an under-recognized classic from Barry White's female girl group & the Love Unlimited Orchestra. It is set to two performance clips...AND This is NOT the same version that appears on the 2009 Barry White box set labeled as an "Alternate Version" that is advertised on Amazon & iTunes below... I hope you enjoy it!

Technically, TLC has sold lots more records, but that's just a reflection on the times & how we get our music. In the 70's we actually had to go to a store for the album. TLC was for young hip-hoppers. Love Unlimited - Grown folks music.

To be truthful Don Cornelius had to modify the studio and place the strings outside in another room for the tapping. Soul Train had spent so much money on this booking it was decided that Barry White and crew would do a complete hour show. All of this is written in Barry's book!!!!

Great harmonies and orchestra......a totally under rated song......I remember when this song came out in the Summer of '73 and hearing it at a SIX FLAGS Puppet Show......A fantastic BARRY WHITE Contribution........I sincerely hope Black Artists return to this style of singing someday as it truly shows their REAL singing talents/abilities so well..........they have been back up singers on so many groups/singers records over the years-- Elvis Presley (In The Ghetto) to name just one of the dozens and dozens of great songs. There were so many great Black FEMALE Artists in the sixties and seventies......Dianna Ross & the Supremes, Toys, Dionne Warwick, Ronettes, and The Three Degrees and of course Darlene Love to name just a few.

Though my all-time favourite girl-group is THE SUPREMES (the 70's era - JEAN TERRELL/SCHERRIE PAYNE to be specific) this Barry White penned/produced classic never fails to give me goosebumps. I got to see Love Unlimited live twice. Great harmonies.
