Wow Man ! If you ever see my comment please know this was outstanding ! I have a torch and supplies coming and this is amazing. Thank you SO much ! Rick
thanks for the tutorial :) loved the music, my cousin just had a wedding that started with a guy playing that same pixies song on piano instead of traditional wedding music... was cool to hear that again.
Song Title is... With Your Feet On The Ground.... it’s real title is Where Is My Mind by the pixies but if Google search “with my feet on the ground my head in the air”, this piano version comes up. Cheers 🍻
What are your gas pressures set at at the regulators for O2 and LP. Also, when 'baking it in" or any number of points in the process what type of flame are you using? I noticed the flame chemistry change and that certainly is information that would help.
I enjoy your tutorials and have the same torch. One question I notice you seem to work in very lightly shaded glasses for boro. Has this caused you any issues?
You know, if I'm blowing glass for more than a couple hours at a time, I notice I get a minor headache. I used to have shade 5 tinted glasses and recommend those for sure. It's a trade off between higher visibility during fuming and better protection for other techniques/things I'm doing on the torch.
Mike Yazel Either get shade 3 or 5. I would HIGHLY recommend that you do not do what this guy is doing. He's working just using Dydimium with no shade, which is very harmful to your eyes when fuming. Most people will tell you if you're fuming, then shade 5 is the way to go. Don't use a worse lens just because you can't see. Get better lighting in your studio if that's the problem. A $30 shop light is better and cheaper than not being able to see right because you were too lazy to go buy a light.
Are you located in Los Angeles? I really enjoyed your video. I am looking for local glassblowers in the area i am out in Santa Clarita and google has not done me any justice.
The real song is by The Pixies and it’s Called “Where Is My Mind” but Google “With my feet on the ground my head in the air”, and this piano version will pop up. The video is of a skateboarder Straight up rippin through the city. Cheers 🍻

A shade 3 lens is what is in those glasses you see him wearing
Although I think he mentioned he recommends a shade 5 lens in his previous comment.
Those glasses are shade 3 lens, I own a pair and have been glassblowing for thousands of hours with no i'll effects to eyesight.
Could you please post the music credit?
Thx!

Dude I have to know what's the name of the mix of your soundtrack to this video
The real song is by The Pixies and it’s Called “Where Is My Mind” but Google “With my feet on the ground my head in the air”, and this piano version will pop up. The video is of a skateboarder Straight up rippin through the city. Cheers 🍻
Intro song?
It's a piano version of the Pixies 'Where is my mind' I think.
Try this trick and spin it
Thats too much silver. A lighter coat would give better colors.
Yup. I started getting brighter blue when i just put one light layer of silver and then clear (dots) over it.
you should talk in your tutorials
