In this Episode we bring to you a band formed in the year 1992 'The Axe'. And from their album Farkera Herda they perform for you one of their biggest hits Chiya Bari Ma.The song was released in 1995. Back in 1993 vocalist Shiva Mukhiya was on a tour to Darjeeling after the release of their first album. Darjeeling is popular for it's beautiful tea gardens. While roaming around one of those gardens, he happened to see a typically dressed, extraordinarily beautiful girl there. She was so beautiful that he came up with this song for her!

We(90 kids) are so lucky. We used to live music. There were no other optional things to do that time. So, we used to listen just audio format of music to pass our time. Now, There are smartphone, Television, social media, game, Cinema, etc. People have very less time to listen music from heart. So they prefer trending songs on UA-cam which will not be remembered anymore after its place is taken by another song.
But we still remember this song. We remember this Band. All band who were formed around late 90's & early 20's are great. Almost every songs from that time are evergreen. ❤❤

I grew up listening to The Axe, Nepathya, Mukti & the revivals, The Karma, Nima Rumba and many more. Among all these Mukti Shakya is my all time fav. (The Nepali folk blues). This is all because my dad use to listen to all these bands. I'm a 90s kid and I am from Darjeeling. The Axe gives me RHCP vibes and "Lukna Dew, Chiya bari ma and Mo audai chu" is my fav. I'm going to listen to them until I die.

I don't know why but I have always loved and have this respect fot this band. They deserve a lot more for their contribution to the Nepalese music industry in the past decades.
Grew up listening to The Axe.....and i remember visiting tikntok or mahaboudha for their cassette tapes...... they were more like alternatives of 90s n 2000 giving more flavor and taste to nepalese music industry.....great great compositions with those melodious guitar riffs and innovative picking and nepalese taste giving lyrics, and powerful bass....
