A demonstration of how to perform an ECG, including anatiomical landmarks for lead placement and how to operate the ECG machine. Charles Wood performs an ECG on Tom Searle.
Sorry your precordial lead placement is incorrect. You have counted 2 spaces down from the angle of louis which makes it the third intercostal space, not the 4th Your v2 is not always opposite v1 as rib spaces do not always match. The rest of your chest leads are therefore incorrect. Please read the scst 2017 guidelines. What you have shown would fail an osce
I agree with carvelos19 about the V1 and V2. You can't assume that the ribs are the same on both sides of the sternum, there's a wide degree of variation in the same person between where their ribs join the sternum (I doubt you'd _fail_ an OSCE station for it though...)
The patient is gorgeous 😍
This is informative and relaxing to watch.
nice informative demonstration , thank you
You're welcome!
Why is he so cute 😍 great informative video 😊
The patient is a doctor, isn't he?

Is it always fine to have the table not reclined much?
Yes an ECG can be performed lying flat or sat up, however it is normally performed at 45 degrees which will give the most standardised result.
1:25 this patient is indeed “adequately exposed”...
Cakep bgt dokternya :((
Why is he so beautiful? His abbs are ... 😍
We don't know why... research is ongoing.

is this the same Tom Searle that died?
I would say no since from pics he looks like he had a hairy chest and this guy doesn't
Hmmm not sure if V6 was on the same plane as V4...
nice pattern
thanks!
is the majority of ekg workers female
Either way they should get paid the same! Equal pay for equal arrythimias
@KCL Kumec...how is that relevant? People doing ECGs get paid the same whatever sex they are
Seven years ago this medical student was too hot. Very handsome
