- Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra runs on One UI 3.1 which brings a whole bunch of new features to the table. Samsung One UI 3.1 will soon trickle down to the remaining Samsung phones such as Note 20, S20, A71, etc.
So let's dive in and discover all the new features and changes on One UI 3.1.

What I really want them to add is different Call Backgrounds choices for different contacts. For example, if your Mom calls, it will play a video of her that you chose. Or a video of a friend when that friend calls.....etc. It would be different for each contact.
And also want option to download new call background from Theme store.
Prolly something that'll come in the future
You can !! Pick a contact and hut the 3 dots in the tip right and the hit settings and then call background !!! Boom 💥

@@TECfan1 in the phone app there should be the 3 dots, tap it and then settings - wallaper for phone call.

You missed the object eraser available in the gallery when you edit a photo - you first need to enable it via “Labs” in the triple dot menu.

In the single camera section for 3.1 it has more wide photo options than 3.0.. which is cool.

There is 1 more new feature for editing pictures, where you can remove objects or people from the background. To enable this you need to choose a picture from the gallery and click the 3 dots and click labs then enable it. After that click edit and then you will find the object remover tool.

Note 10 lite have the same chipset as the exynos Note 9

Really? I have an S10 and got One UI 3 a few weeks ago.
@@TECfan1 they halted the release because of bugs. I think they initiated the roll out again though. S10 users should have it soon
I've been offered the update to 3.0 and I'm in the UK but I don't want it as there's too many reports of it making the phone slower. Benchmarks show a 5% drop in speed too and for what, some slightly different settings? I'll probably jump when we get 3.1 so I can get directors view which is something I'd use.
@@JCJW101 Honestly I have noticed zero slow-downs. And I have even noticed battery improvement and better speed than before, for the first time with an update. But I have Verizon's version of it so maybe that made some kind of difference, idk.

Well just installed the 3.0 that launched today, and all of my features of the finelock application aren't working anymore.

The very first feature of call background is not in my S20plus after I updated to Ui 3.1 ? What should I do
This feature are exclusive to s21s even my s10 didn't get many feature

i doubt 3.1 will get to older phone...it'll probably go straight to 3.5 or 4.0 and skip 3.1
@@hollymolly518 they rolled out 2.1 and 2.5 to older phones last year for the first time. I can see them rolling out 3.1 now

Not sure if anyone has the same problem, cuz this update caused alot of lag on my apps
No this made my device more fast
You can do one thing, back up all of your phone's data to your SD card through *Samsung Smart Switch* (search in your settings)
On the top right corner, click on SD card icon then backup it.
After that factory reset your device then restore data from same *Smart Switch* app
You should factory reset your device after any big update, it is not mandatory but it will solve your problem in the first place like I reset my galaxy after android 11 update :-)

I actually like Samsung free. It is customizable and includes the free TV app.

One UI 3.1, it seems like Samsung finally got rid of the "Places" tab in the phone app!

My S20 Ultra got the object eraser in gallery, but did NOT get the directors mode in the camera and did not get the video call background effect either. But will say I appreciate getting the object eraser without having to purchase third party photo editing software.

Why do you have to "discover" new features vs Samsung releasing all new features with instructions?
Because they don't care for us anymore, haven't done for ages. Google and Microsoft are the same, Apple is a bit better but not much.
There so many, and I doubt anyone would actually read instructions that aré released.

@@_fiftyseven_ Try doing a manuel update check. I manuelly checked to see if there was an update and it was. Normally I get automatic updates on my Tab.

Very well made video and interesting to watch. One thing though, for the "continue apps on other device" function, you need that option on both devices! Which means both need to have OneUI 3.1, which limits the number of compatible devices geeatly
And I just hope it can even do it on windows laptop, since there's no samsung internet yet on windows

Sad that so many features missing off s20 ultra - one of Samsung’s flagship phones. How odd!
One Ui 3 is stupid, it ruined my 3rd party launcher experience
People make such fuss about these updates... but all they do is become more proprietary. Samsung has all these advanced features that only work with their apps.
Real customization matters! I would highly recommend looking into custom ROMs if you want to be free from Samsung's bloatware.
I will be installing a custom ROM on my S10e soon and never looking back.

I got a refurbished S10e from Verizon about a month ago to replace my much-used S7 Standard, and within the first 1/2 hour running the S10e, I received both Android 11 and One UI 3.1... Love everything I see!
